I am a certified massage therapist, and one of my "elective" classes that I chose was Reiki. When I was being attuned, I had many vivid visions, and it was a very positive experience for me. I also learned a little about energy work, which I enjoyed. I am only initiated in Reiki I, and I would like to progress to Reiki II soon (which involves distance healing). But I was taught a phrase, "Hands on, Reiki on", which meant anytime I touch someone (with my hands in a certain way) Reiki is working. My massage clients say they become addicted to my massage, versus other ones they have had, I think it's because of the healing energy passing through me to them. I am simply a channel. So I think that maybe Reiki will work if you pay someone or not, it decides when it will work. Can you imagine me charging someone every time I touched them? What a business that would be!Incedentally, I wouldn't charge for massage because I love to do it. But sometimes if you don't charge, or undercharge, people think of it as worthless. So maybe money should be charged for Reiki. (Is my Libra Ascendant showing? Katee

P.S - My hands "buzz" when I touch people, especially during massage. It's the same buzz I get when I hold my huge clear quartz crystal. Pretty cool!  Katee IP: Logged |
