Since I have hit a rough patch with my Sag, I am looking for some insights on how to handle his distancing behaviors and on how to develop the strong connection Auriel pointed out for me. I have been telling everyone "this is my year!" and secretly thinking "this is my guy." I think I may have just passed through a heavier period myself since I am feeling lighter today, but I suspect he is still struggling. So, while I am giving him space - again - (and you K-NOW how hard it is for a Ram to be patient!! ) - please pass along any helpful information any of you see:

me: 4/2/62 10:50 pm Joliet, Illinois
him: 12/14/63 2am Baltimore, Maryland

Hi Hopeful
Nice to meet you.

I'll take a look at both your transists and see if that will shed any light on your situation. How long have you been together for?

I'm sure you know that Saggi's need lots of space....... Not for any reason...just because they do.
I'm a Virgo but have a saggi moon - so I can really relate to that need space thing. I probably wont go off anywhere...but need to know I can
Does that make sense?
Chat later

Hi Cat (Sue) -

Your explanation does make sense to me. I need space too, but it's generally when I'm not sure about someone. If I like them, then I want to see them when I want to see them! Silly Aries impatience. I am getting better . . . slowly.

I met the Sag just before Thanksgiving. We didn't really start going out until mid-January. So, not very long I suppose. The last time we got together - which was last week - we had a GREAT time. I think it may have scared him? The reason he is so much in my head, is that the first time I met him I "knew" him somehow. I "knew" that he would be more than a passing acquaintance. I have strong intuitions - when I listen to them - but I definitely wouldn't consider myself psychic.

If there are any more questions, let me know!

Thanks!

Hopeful

Hi Hopeful

I'm going to look at your transits now - see what if anything is going on there.

It's funny you know both Aries & Sagittarius are fire signs.......BUT Saggi is a mutable sign......so not as "focused" (if that's the right word). Mutable signs kind of go with the flow.....but don't like conflict - run from that
You say you think you scared him......
Did you try to get him to commit??? Cos I would say for a saggi it's still early days.
Actually in his heart he may well be commited but he may be fighting it.....I would guess he needs time and you need patience....tough I know

Ok I'll check the transits and be back
Love

OK

I could have guessed.....
The moon is right now tranisting your 7th house (relationships) this is why it is sooo much on your mind. The intensity will ease shortly...mind you it will then be transiting your 8th (sex). Moon transits only last a few days though.

You also have Pluto (planet of change) in your 5th house (romance). Uranus (kind of erractic) and Neptune (rose coloured glasses) are both transiting your 8th house.
These tranists will be there for a while yet.

Actually the Sun is transiting your friends 7th house - so relationships will be on his mind. The Moon is in his 4th house (home) so his emotions are there. Plus Neptune (illusions) is transiting his 4th house.
Uranus (erractic) is transiting his 5th (romance). Pluto is tranisting his 3rd house (communication).

Well, it's late here (I'm in England) and I'm not awake enough to properly look at the aspects re the transits.
Hopefully I've given you some "food for thought"
Love
Sue

I know this is really incredible, but I have not had any conversations with him about "our" relationship or what he's thinking. We are both dating other people. However, if he asked, I would be willing to be exclusive. From what I have learned about him, it seems this needs to be his idea? I don't believe he has any relationships that is as "serious" as ours. I date others mostly for distraction to keep from calling him! So, I have kept things very, very light. He travels a lot for business and I was away a lot, so we've probably seen each other about 8-10 times. The last time I thought he was pulling way back, I didn't contact him for 10 days (Yes! It drove my CRAZY!!!). So, here I am again, wondering if maybe I am foolish for hanging in there - yet I had that "feeling" when we met. So, I'm thinking his fear of commitment has kicked in because he does feel.

appreciate the help -

Hopeful

Hello Aphrodite -

Today is gray and rainy here, which doesn't help since I'm having one of those days! I think I'm ready for more consistency, but I don't think it will happen any time soon . . .

Cat - From your info, I take it the connection won't be getting stronger any time soon? Any idea when things might really take-off between us? (My patience is better when I have timelines!)

Hope everyone had a great weekend -

Hi Hopeful

Sorry to hear you're having "one of those days"....tomorrow will be better - it always is

I took a quick glance at your transits (it's a holiday weekend here - so I'm out and about a bit).

You have a few Saturn squares going on at the moment - which can be frustrating (believe me I know )

Saturn restricts/delays/structures. A very good description I read once about Saturn transits was...."There're like being in a boot camp"

You'll currently be feeling Saturn square your Natal Moon....

Saturn Transits in Aspect to the Natal Moon: The Moon is your emotions and feelings, your instincts. Saturn rules depression, especially the stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition). But there is always a way to minimize that. Keep busy, especially around the house. Don’t just sit there. Check the house that the Moon is in and the house that Saturn is moving through. These are areas of your life where normal problems can seem particularly depressing right now. In any event, your reaction will tend to be more emotional at this time, rather than logical. The best way to deal with these transits is to acknowledge the feelings you have. Do not suppress them. Then, check the reality of the situation. You will probably notice that your emotional reactions are out of proportion to what is happening. Take the rational course, of course. Do the right thing. But then, give yourself a little treat to soothe those emotions. The areas of your life ruled by the house the Moon was in when you were born can also be affected. And don’t forget to check the house that has the sign of Cancer (ruled by the Moon) on the cusp.

OK...taking into account the above explanation. Saturn is currently transiting your 11th (friendships). Your natal Moon is in 9th house ( Religion, philosophy, higher education, "higher mind" and long journeys).
PLUS Cancer is your Asc -1st house ruler (shows your outward and superficial traits. It is what people see when they first meet you, as opposed to the Sun-Sign which shows your inner traits).
All of these we be affected by this Saturn square Moon transit.
Don't worry...you'll feel better soon. It only lasts for a few weeks.

Saturn is also currently square your natal Mars. Mars is your energy. Saturn can reduce it directly, or make you work so much harder that you drain yourself.

PLUS Saturn is also currently square your natal Pluto.......
Pluto rules deep and hidden things. Like a volcano, they can build up pressure, unseen and unsuspected until an explosive burst. Saturn is restriction, but it also tends to bring problems to the surface. When Saturn transits natal Pluto with a stressful aspect (conjunction, square, or opposition) the people you meet are not likely to be of the highest caliber, especially those governed by the house that Pluto is in, or the house that it rules (the house with the sign of Scorpio on the cusp). For instance, if you are born with Pluto in your 3rd House (siblings and neighbors) any long simmering disputes you may have with a sibling or neighbor will tend to come to a head. Make an extra effort to solve the problems without letting things get out of hand. Saturn can be bitter and Pluto explosive. There doesn’t even have to be an old dispute. It could also be that either you or they are just “venting” an internal problem. In any event, the people you attract now may not be underworld characters, but they might as well be. Make an extra effort to avoid power struggles. This transit makes it more likely for them to occur.

Also note your natal Pluto is in your 3rd house......

Pluto in the Third House: Your words can heal or kill. This placement gives your communications great power. It’s a great one to have if you are a therapist or salesperson, or an advertising copywriter whose words can influence millions. Words just seem to have extra power when you say them. Relations with siblings and neighbors will never be dull. I love you or I hate you, nothing in between.

In addition to all of this.....Scorpio (Pluto) is your're 5th house (romance) cusp ruler. So you'll be feeling the restriction there as well.

Now before you think "jeeeeeez I'll just go sit in a corner and cry". Please remember that although Saturn transits can feel harsh - you ALWAYS come out of them a better person. Saturn teaches you lessons.

All of the squares I've just mentioned will be gone in a few weeks time and you'll feel much better. Just hang on in there and try to relax. Don't try to force anything at this time!

It really isn't that long to wait.
By way of trying to make you feel better.....since 1995 I've had non-stop Saturn and Pluto squares.......
Saturn squared my Mars, Pluto, Mercury, Venus, Asc, Desc, Nouth and South Nodes and my Sun. It been v v v hard BUT I'm still here alive and kicking

I've got to go out now as meeting a girlfriend. I'll be back later. And please don't think it's all doom and gloom because it's not. I've just looked at which tranists would be making you feel this way at the moment. Hope it's helped you to understand.
Love
Sue

Hi Hopeful

Just a quick additon to all of the other post....

I also noticed that Pluto is also square your natal Moon at the moment.....

Pluto Transits in Aspect to the Natal Moon: The Moon rules your emotions, the “sub-conscious”, home, and women in the life. Pluto is extremes, death and rebirth, power struggles, getting rid of things (and people). The harmonious aspects (sextile and trine) simply bring a desire for change and a deeper awareness of the emotional level in your relationships. The stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) are, well, stressful. Stressful Pluto-to-Moon transiting aspects rip open the trap door to the “subconscious” mind and let all the little demons out to play. Fears and angry emotions you repressed since childhood come rushing to the surface. This is a good time to enter psychotherapy since you are wide open and can make great progress at this time. If you can’t do therapy when this hits, at least start throwing things out. Clean up your house. Transform yourself.

It's also square your natal Mars....

Pluto Transits in Aspect to Natal Mars: Pluto brings things to the surface from deep inside. Pluto going right over your Mars can make you veryupset because, all of a sudden, you may want to tell people off. Even friends. No, Pluto hasn't made you angry. It simply may have brought up emotions that have been repressed for years. Mars is energy and Pluto supercharges it, for better or worse. The stressful aspects can bring up long suppressed anger, that’s true. But any aspect that transiting Pluto makes to your Mars increases your Energy. Make certain that you give it a constructive outlet, otherwise...well, Pluto does rule volcanoes. It could be you who is exploding, or, if you hold that energy down too much, you could attract aggressive and shady people into your life.

And if that's not enough
It's also square your natal Pluto.......

Pluto Transits in Aspect to Natal Pluto: Get ready for the best sex you ever had! Sure, it can turn your life upside down, but who cares. Actually, you had better check out the House that Pluto occupies in your birth chart, as well as the one it is transiting through. And don’t forget the house that has the sign of Scorpio on the cusp (beginning). All of those areas of your life are probably going to be affected as well. Watch out for sudden anger and obsessions as well. As always with Pluto, utilize this transit for fixing things up (rehabilitation) including yourself, and for throwing things out (elimination). And of course, don’t forget that great sex! The smooth aspects give you the ability to make changes without the stresses, strains, and obsessions of the square

Both Saturn and Pluto are also square your natal Chiron. I'm not too well informed with regards to those transits. Maybe someone else can help there??

Again I can't stress enough to you that these transits wont be around for very long. Just be aware of them and understand what you're currently experiencing.
Love
Sue

PS: I know that so far I haven't really looked at your friends transits....There is method to my "madness"
You can't change other people. You have to accept them as they are "warts 'n all". You can only change you and how you react to the situations that you find yourself in.

Let me know your thoughts so far

wOw Sue! Your info is so helpful as I really seem to be struggling right now. At present, I feel like I'm in a fog! A few weeks you say? Of course, you know that is forever to an Aries!!! Still, I will try to hang in there. I am doing some redecorating - I"m having some painting done and shopping for new furniture. Work is always busy - but at least it is an additional distraction.

I've also been reading tons about dreams, meditation and the subconscious as I'm trying to tap into all that "other" knowledge about people and events I know I have stored somewhere. It is slow going for me since I have such a busy mind, but I am enjoying the path.

As for what you wrote about my current chart, it really does make sense. The "old" me would be angry at the Sag and would have told him off - plays right into your powerful communication/violence themes - but the "new" me is determined to wait until I feel better and more under control. Also, I know that I can't change him but I also know I need to let him know if he's upset me - because if I don't tell him I shouldn't assume he knows. I'm just not sure on the timing to let him know. I definitely need to be out of the fog. Yesterday was a good day. It seems to be about every other day right now.

I used to be much more prone to "speaking before thinking" which I think would play out in this period, but I am struggling to "think first" and take the calmer approach.

Your words give me some insight as to why I've been feeling so beaten up and why it's been such a struggle to stay positive. Especially with regard to the Sag. The "old" me wants to lean towards the negative; the "new" me is thinking, "of course he's interested and cares about you - and yes he'll be able to commit someday - he's just distracted right now!" So, I am feeling a bit like a ping pong ball and am glad there is an end in sight!

Relationships and family have been heavily on my mind this year, and you have helped explained why they are even moreso right now. I'll have to see what else I can do to keep my busy mind busier!

Hopeful

Hi Hopeful
Just a quickie...as it's midnight here and just got to my computer.

I know that you want to/should tell him...but maybe right now is not the time

Saturn squares are MAJORLY tough......BUT they do teach us to be patient......zzzzzzz....tick tock and all that
AND believe me even I (as a Virgo) find that to be really tough

I'll take another look at your transits tomorrow and let you know when Saturn will stop squaring you. Hang in there cos it wont be long
You can do it

Hi Hopeful

Ok I looked at your transits today......

With regards to Pluto transits - those are going to be around for quite some time as Pluto is currently retro and doesn't go direct until 26th August. But hey Pluto transits aren't as harsh as Saturn
Hmmm I've got Pluto sq my Natal Sun @ bang on 0 degrees for 6 months
Talk about a slow moving planet.....

Anyway re Saturn transits.....
Today....
Saturn sq Moon @ 1 degree applying
Still transiting your 11th house.
Saturn sq Mars @ minus 2 degrees separating
Saturn sq Pluto @ minus 6 degrees separating
Saturn sq Chiron @ 5 degrees separating

On 14th June.....
Saturn will have just stopped transiting your 11th house (just entered your 12th)
Saturn sq Moon @ 6 degrees applying.
Saturn sq mars @ 2 degrees applying
By this time it's totally off your Pluto and Chiron.

On July 12th it's totally off your Moon.
Still sq your Mars @ 5 degrees applying.
Plus by this time it's sq your Mercury and MC.

Also don't forget the wider the orb - the less you will feel the effect.

Note: As you have quite a few planets bunched together...Saturn is going to sq them one by one but at least you will know what to expect. Plus some Saturn squares really aren't that bad

Love
Sue

Hi Cat -

I'm feeling more myself today - even before I had a voicemail this morning from the Sag apologizing profusely. Hurray! I haven't called him back yet - still not sure how to respond so thought it better to wait.

Thanks for explaining why my emotions have been reeling. It was especially helpful yesterday when I felt dragged through the streets.

The Sag sounded so contrite, I suspect he's having some planetary issues also, yes?

In my readings, I'm intrigued about learning more about past lives (and wondering if I knew this guy before since it felt that way when I first saw him). Is there something in the natal chart that indicates history?

You're great!

Hi Hopeful
Glad to hear you're feeling better today AND that you received a phone call

It's late here now and off to bed but I'll take a look at his transits tomorrow for you.

Do you have a copy of Linda Goodmans Relationship Signs? That's a great book to have for comparing your chart to someone elses.
Saturn aspects can indicate past life connections.

Love
Sue

PS: I've deleted all the aspects I posted here for you as they took up a lot of space and your birth time change now gives you a saggi rising not cancer.
Can't you tell I'm a Virgo....lol....cleaning up the thread

Hi Seeker
Nice to meet you.

Hi Hopeful
Ok for now we have to disregard everything I've posted due to the change in your birth time (as you're now a saggi rising and not cancer).

Your transits (as at today's date)

Pluto (regeneration/change)in 1st house (outward and superficial traits)

Chiron (healing) in 2nd house (money, possessions, the value you place on things, your sense of self worth)

Neptune (illusions/rose coloured glasses) & Uranus (originality, the rebel planet) bot in 3rd house (comminications, siblings, neighbours)

Moon (emotions) 4th house (home)

Sun (ego, basic character) 6th house (work, health)

Mercury (thinking, communication, gathering information), Saturn (caution, fear, ambition, determination), Venus (artistic taste, love, possessions, happiness), Mars (aggression, drive, energy)and Node all in your 7th house (relationships)

Jupiter (optimism, good luck) in 8th house (sex, death, rebirth - in the sense of regeneration plus other peoples money)

You can see why you are so focused on your relationship at this time...all those planets transiting your 7th house

With regards to the aspects that the transiting planets are currently making to your natal planets........

Saturn is still square the following planets:
Moon @ minus 5 degress separating.
Mars @ minus 2 degrees separating
Pluto @ minus 6 degrees separating
Chiron @ 5 degrees separating
(see previous explanations for how these aspects effect you but note that your natal planets are now in different houses and your house cusp rulers have also moved)

Transiting Pluto is square:
Moon @ 2 degrees separating
Mars @ 0 degrees separating
Pluto @ 9 degrees applying
Chiron @ minus 8 degrees applying
MC @ minus 8 degrees separating

(again see previous posts for explanations and take into account plants now in different houses plus house cusp ruler change)

Natal Chart Planet positions are as follows:-
Sun & Mercury in your 4th house
Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn & Chiron in your 3rd house
Venus in your 5th house
Uranus, Pluto & True Node in your 9th house
Neptune in your 11th house

Your House Cusp Rulers as as follows:-

1st House - Sagittarius (Jupiter)
2nd House - Capricorn (Saturn)
3rd House - Aquarius (Uranus)
4th House - Pisces (Neptune)
5th House - Aries (Mars)
6th House - Taurus (Venus)
7th House - Gemini (Mercury)
8th House - Cancer (Moon)
9th House - Leo (Sun)
10th House - Virgo (Mercury)
11th House - Libra (Venus)
12th House - Scorpio (Pluto)

Love
Sue

PS: I also noticed in your natal chart that you have an unaspected Mercury. Plus you have 2 singletons.....
Saturn (as it's the only planet you have in Air)
Pluto (as it's the only planet you have in Earth)

Sue -

You are too kind for taking another look. What a ninny I am! Typical Arian trait - charge ahead and neglect the details!

Your new information is helpful. I'm a little foggy again today, but at least I understand why I'm so focused on relationships right now.

You're an angel.

oh dear sue, bless your good heart

today's the first time i looked at hopeful's chart.

stressful transits you're going through. you're going to be encountering many situations that will challenge the way you have been habitually expressing your emotions and energetic drives (transiting pluto in 1st squaring mars, and moon conjunct in pisces 3rd house with aquarius south node here too). this is a time to really dig in deeply into who you really are . . . i believe auriel has already mentioned this to you hopeful. i don't know if you have already noticed this or not, but have you experienced any noticeable consequences for certain behaviors you exhibit? and by consequences, i mean either rewards or punishments---an either, or axis of reactions.

love,

aphrodite

Hi Aphrodite -

Yes, I have been more observant about my reactions and behaviors. I've been struggling with patience issues - but it's getting better. I've also gained a lot of perspective the last few years, and I feel more ready for a "healthy" relationship than I have ever been. Previously, I was much more likely to act before I think - but now I try to think first and most especially in times of high emotion. I've also been trying to tap into my intuition more to guide me, and I've found that if I wait, instead of jumping immediately on some act, that the outcome is more positive. This has been a hard lesson to learn, and I'm still learning!

Hopeful

P.S. I do feel awful about the wrong birth time being posted. However, I still found Cat's posts extremely interesting and helpful.

Hi Aphrodite

I'm still very much a learner as far as astrology goes...but I love it. It's sooo fascinating.
How long have you studied it for?

Love
Sue

Hello Ninny.....lol I mean Hopeful

After having a zillion (ok major exageration - but it sure feels like it) Saturn squares myself. I totally understand the patience thing.

What's that prayer....
"Lord give me patience but give it me NOW!!"

lol...well trust me on one thing....Saturn will not take no for an answer...he wants patience...you'll give him patience
He's a tough task master but hey anyone can do the easy transits and learn nothing. With Saturn you learn and you grow

Love
Sue
