starlover brought this up at one time, and since i am new here as of today, i thought i'd add my two cents (probably more than that, since i tend to run at the mouth a LOT). i'm a leo, and my fiance is a pisces. i do NOT see this relationship working out at all. i talk a lot and have a working relationship with my feelings. he is very introverted and private, and will not think of sharing anything with me at all on an emotional level. i need a lot of attention, so i try to give it to him in the hopes of recieving some in return, and he is not interested in this kind of physical closeness. he is very quiet and gets tired very easily of how much i talk, and i get very frustrated that he doesn't respond to me. all of the compatibility charts that i have seen say that this is one of the worst matches in the zodiac. i'm wondering if anyone out there can give me some information about how to make this work out a little better than it has been for us. if you need more information, my birthday is 8/19/79 and his is 3/7/71. could someone help me out on this? to my understanding, if we can get past/work around our zodiacal differences, it is possible to have a very strong, fulfilling relationship. thanks!

Hi Creekersgirl
Nice to meet you

If you want just a general overview of how Pisces and Leo's "get on" see my post Astrology For Lovers. That will give you a general picture.
If you want really feel that you want this relationship to work and want to look at your synastry together then you need to post your full birth details for both of you. Day, Month, Year, Time and Place.

But do take a look at the astro site to see the general interpretation.

thanks for the website - it made me feel a lot better and made me realize that i am probably expecting way too much from him, but i wonder if i will ever be fulfilled with this guy? maybe if i chill out first, he will become more receptive towards me? it said that he is very giving and very sexual too, so maybe he does not respond well to the demanding attitude i have.

getting married? we have been engaged for almost three years and have never even contemplated a date. we are always talking about if we are going to make it in our rlationship until the next week! this relationship is going to take some serious soul-searching and reflection. i'm going to try to chill out for a month or two if i can stand it, and see how that helps our relationship. if it doesn't work soon, it may never.

Welcome creekersgirl. It sounds like your man may have a bit of Aquarius in him. Aquarius is known for being cool, aloof, and don't touch me, especially if it's in Venus. It doesn't have to be that way, if he does have Aqua. You just need to learn what trips his trigger, and if he does have Aqua, it sure won't be someone making demands on him. Aquarius strong people are very independent and do it their own way, when they dang well feel like it, and not a moment before. And just from your description, I kNOW he has Aquarius in him! Don't worry though, you can always appeal to his Pisces sensitivity. Have you read Linda Goodman's Love Signs?

BTW, it sounds like the two of you have different ideas about love and affection. Just remember neither is wrong, just different. Once you learn to accept the other unconditionally, your relationship will be much smoother.

a friend of mine told me to read that book - i have not yet, but i plan to. as far as two different ideas of love, i agree, but i think that just accepting our differences will not make as much of a difference in our relationship as also modifying the way we show love to the other person - meaning that i need to show love for him the way he needs it at times and he needs to be willing to do the same for me - it's all about staying fulfilled and fulfilling the other so that both partners are as satisfied as possible. i know the demands are not working, but i have also tried sitting back and laying low for a while and although he is getting what he wants, i am getting nothing. this relationship is very unfulfilling to me and i think that he is happy with things the way they are when i pretty much ignore him. being a leo and a woman i NEED more attention from a long-term partner.

Hi Creekersgirl... Just want you to know that you aren't the only one. I'm a leo and my fiance is a pisces. The only person in the world who can make me laugh and make me cry in the same minute... He is aloof and secretive... but also honest to a fault. He loves me unconditionally. However, lately I've been feeling like I need to be with someone, anyone else... We are the odd couple. Different in everyway. I want him to be happy... and I make all the sacrifices for him to have what he wants. If he needs $ for cigs or paint for his car, I go without makeup for a while. I'm a 21 yr old LEO. I LIVE FOR LOOKING GOOD. I was wearing myself out, giving and giving. I finally had to tell him that I had run out of things to give. I didn't have anything left in me.... We're still struggling, but we just might make it... The cincher that keeps me here,.... I can't imagine myself without him... Waking up beside him...coming home to a note that says, "Hey Baby, couldn't wait any longer or I would be late for work, But I love you whole bunches. Forever and always, Love Mark... Can you imagine yourself with out your pisces man? If it's meant to be, it will... But Leo pride just won't let us fail @ this, huh.... It takes work, from both sides to make a Leo/Pisces relationship work...It's hard but so worth it.

ah *sighs* pisces men

it's amazing how a man so simple can drive one crazy isn't it? especially those stinky feet!

i'm no expert on this sign, that's for sure. even though we've been together for almost 3 years now

here's some tricks i use for those moments when he wants to be alone and cranky, i think to myself to him:

"you'll be back. your mamma and pappa will kill you if you're mean to me. besides you like me too much."

to get his interest on something when i think he's been spaced out too long:

i spend some time pampering and doing things that make me happy

pisces will get curious as to what you're up to that's so fun and want to catch those happy rays.

demands don't work if he has fixed signs in his chart . . . my beau has all 4 signs in his chart, taurus, leo, scorpio, and aquarius.

i might as well ask and then watch my nails grow as i wait

but you know what? i know how to say "No" too . . . hehehe. i don't just say No, i say,

"oh, you want me to do something too, huh? "

and leave it at that. they get the message. but still be stubborn. LOL!!! but then they don't get what THEY WANT.

jokes on them!

creekersgirl,

This song helps me when I'm not happy with a situation:

Pilgrim
By Enya

Pilgrim, how you journey...on the road you chose
To find out why the winds die, and where the stories go

All days come from one day
That much you must know
You cannot change what's over
But only where you go

One way leads to diamonds
One way leads to gold
Another leads you only
To everything you're told

In your heart you wonder
Which of these is true
The road that leads to nowhere
The road that leads to you

Will you find the answer in all you say and do?
Will you find the answer...in you?

Each heart is a pilgrim
Each one wants to know
The reason why the winds die
And where the stories go

Pilgrim, in your journey
You may travel far
For pilgrim it's a long way
To find out who you are...

Pilgrim, it's a long way...To find out who you are...

Pilgrim, it's a long way...To find out who you are...

Good luck on your journey! You just may find yOu.

Hi everyone,
I'm a pisces and although I'm a girl I decided to lend my 2 cents to this string. Right now I'm very attracted to this Leo man. To me he seems amazing and warm.
BUT! I also see something else that scares me!! I don't know maybe he it's just me, but I doubt it. I can tell he's very domineering and possesive, (just like a leo can be!) I mean he isn't a bad person he's great but I can see those flaws right through him, you know!
I've tried to figure out this relationship myself and I have realized, that this relationship can and should be excellent.
But the only PROBLEM is the fact that the Leo can have too much control or demand! This is very true! Pisces are meant to be passive and submissive too all there partners no matter what! Easy for the women tough cookies on the men who are pisces, right?.
Anyway as a very wise Pisces I know that I will never ever be able to change a Leo or even see him bend for me. I accept that completly! But if he's to possesive or demanding I will have no choice but to run away as fast as I can! Yes I am capable of giving all my attention and love to my Leo man, but that doesn't mean I can do it all the time! Just leave me alone- sometimes!
Listen to me Creeker, your man will eventually bend for you, as a loving Pisces I promise you he will. Right now he's a bit oblivious or your scaring him! I think your scaring him!

PS. Just because I'm daydreaming or looking out the window does not mean I'm cheating on you, HONEST TO GOD I PROMISE!!! I love you, baby!

-"oops and he starts to growl,"

Hi creekers!
I am a pisces girl and I've never been in a relationship with a Leo man. However, my mom is a Leo and all of the ways you and your pisces man interact sound exactly like the relationship between she and I (except, of course, physically). She talks way too much, asks way too many questions about my personal life, wants me to give her hugs, etc. It's weird, but the more she asks of me, the more I don't want to give ANYTHING to her. I think this is because she sort of treats it like a bank account. If she buys me things, is generous, etc. I have to repay her in some way. Pisces don't work that way. Pisces are always taken care of by the universe and they know that if it doesn't come from you it will come from somewhere else. My suggestion is, if you're going to give to your pisces man or indulge your leo generosity, do it without expecting anything in return. I think you'll be surprised at what happens. Pisces love to give. They like it to be understood that they will give as much and more than you could ever want when they're darn good and ready. Believe me, your pisces loves and respects you, he wouldn't be around if he didn't. My suggestion is to let him come to you. If you don't want to give anymore, don't. He doesn't expect anything from you. Just let it flow. He does.

I found this thread to be very interesting as you all talk about the differences between Pices and Leo.

I'm a leo with a pices moon and a pices rising...imagine that!!! All I can say is that I..as a person with these placements...feel conflicted all the time between the "warm, bright vivacious" leo part of me and the "sensitive, aloof, introspective" pices part of me.

I have severe mood swings that I attribute to my pices "affliction".

Yep, I'm a Pisces Sun, too, and I find that if people don't push me, I end-up making-up holidays just to give them presents.

so far - i have yet to see my man give me anything, whether i ask or not. i have been practicing shutting up and sitting back and leting things flow "naturally" which is very hard for me, but i am trying and it is not helping. he works hard and that is all he expects that he needs to do. when i was pregnant with our daughter, i very nicely asked for backrubs throughout my pregnancy and NEVER RECIEVED ONE!!! i thought he was supposed to be giving! also, throughout my pregnancy, i gave him backrubs, full body massages, and foot rubs, thinking that he would give back, and much to my surprise at the time, he did not ever reciprocate. obviously i hold a lot of resentments, but i have been working on having a more laid back and less demanding approach, and so far nothing seems to work. i was told by many people before i started seeing him that he would give you the shirt off his back if he didn't know you, but no one told me that if he knows you, he won't give you a shirt if he has three. i think maybe he has some other sign in his chart that makes him GREEDY AND SELFISH!!! i have been feeling like this is not going to work out for a couple years now - i am giving it my last shot. also, i don't expect to recieve anything from him every time i give something, i love giving to everybody generously, but when you NEVER EVER EVER recieve ANYTHING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES you start to wonder what is wrong with this situation. all i want is a backrub once in a while and for him to take out the garbage!!! but i am still trying to make things smoother by trying to modify my behavior with him, without changing my nature - it is hard, but if it works this time, it will be well worth it and maybe i will even learn something!! thanks for all the tidbits, everyone.

Hey Creekers!
A jerk is a jerk is a jerk. It doesn't matter what sign they are. Any sign can go wrong and that includes Pisces. I think you've found yourself a bad fish. Cut your losses and find yourself a nice, affectionate aries or sag. Clearly, the whole Pisces - Leo thing is not working out for you.

hi creekersgirl,

i hope you are still around. i did not forget about your requests, and hope that you will provide feedback as it would be good to work comprehensively on several charts and see what constructive foundations can be made.

first, i am looking at your chart with the transits. you have such an abundance of energy naturally, as there is a leo stellium of the sun, venus and jupiter in the 11th house all squaring your natal uranus in the 2nd house. your cancer moon in the 10th house squares your pluto in the 1st house. i sense that you are truly expending a lot of your personal energy to "lay low" this past month, and your plan to continue next month. this period of constraint must be very difficult as you are naturally extroverted. amidst this energy though, my sense is that you are also getting weary and tired too. please take care of yourself

a possible reason for this time of see-sawing between high energy and constraint is that transiting uranus has been opposing your stellium, and will continue to do so for some time because it is a slower moving planet. an interpretation for this aspect, in my view, is that no matter how much energy you expend, it how you expend it that counts and the results will indicate for themselves the success of your projects. uranus will also help you understand the visions and wishes you have for yourself (11th house), albeit through an opposition aspect. the outcomes are much stronger and prevalent because all transiting aspects teach us how to learn to balance the energies we have.

in this case, uranus will be one of your main teachers. transiting uranus is sitting on your 6th house cusp, meaning that in this period of time, it is making an exit from your 5th house of romance and hobbies. the lessons learned from outer planets during its duration in a house are usually most felt at the conclusion of its transit on the cusp of the next house. in your chart, i suspect your visions and ideals about romance and relationships went through a immense disruption as the events that happened in reality did not match your expectations. the good thing about uranus are that his lessons are usually always clean cut, a "that's that, and this is how it is" manifestation. i don't know if you have ever had this feeling during this transit, but this an example of how uranus works.

on the subject of the natal uranus in your 2nd house, as i wrote before, it squares your sun, venus, and jupiter. on the one hand, these aspects provide an abundance of energy and sparks of genius. you could always be counted on to provide a creative and unusual idea against the middle of the road, tried and true methods. adverse aspects, such as the ones in this chart, indicate that one unknowingly can take these energies to an extreme and send out unbalanced energies such as sheer stubborness in one's ideas, eccentricity to the point of alienation, and a raw force that others may find irritating.

with uranus in your 2nd house, you can expect to see the unexpected in regards to finances. tides of fortune, whether good or bad, will probably come as surprises. one of your main lessons in this incarnation is to learn how to be flexible with these tides, and to understand that the resources we have are always in a constant state of change and evolution. with this placement, when one gets too used to something, a sudden change may occur where one is left surprised and unprepared.

you have your natal saturn in the 12th house. this placement has a tendency to blame themselves unconsciously for things that go wrong in life and as a result, find comfort in emotional reclusion and experience feelings of loneliness. saturn squares your neptune in the 3rd house, indicating that there are subconscious subjects actively at work in your mind, whether in dreams, deja vu, the mind's eye, or visions.

there are many other things in your chart, but i thought uranus was a good place to start.

wow! aphrodite, thank you for going all out! it sounds like you are in my head! truly, i do not believe this is going to work out at this point. i could be wrong, but as far as the next month thing, that's about where i'm at. i'm giving it this month, and possibly to the end of the year, and if things are no different (and they are not so far) then i will have to leave. it is truly draining the life out of me. he is only nice to me when i tell him i am leaving, and then only for that day, maybe the next. he is stubborn and i don't think that i can make it long. but thanks for all the information, i think i should get myself a book - i really am a beginnner in this stuff but i'd like further information.
