My descendant is Taurus, ruled by Venus, which, using Placidus, is on the cusp of the eighth house. I do seem to be most attracted to Scorpios (I have a Scorpio ascendant), or those who have a strong pluto aspect, as well as other Aries, usually with softer planets thrown in like myself. Here's wierd, just looking at my hubby's, to see if there was any magic... and His seventh house cusp is Gemini.... ( It turns into Cancer though, but it starts in Gemini)
Anyway, I looked to see where Mercury was, and it is in Aries, conjunct HIS Sun.
Both our 'soulmate indicator' planets are conjunct our Suns. I guess I'll go see the original post, to see what this means according to the interpretations.. I guess it is both our fourth houses though, as we are both fourth house suns... I feel like I am missing something.IP: Logged |

Hi pixelpixie  Rather than these indicators being sign-specific, I think they indicate traits. For instance, Aquarius on the 7th house (same as me!) indicates an attraction to interesting people, men who march to their own drummers, possibly artistic and creative people...but if it were Cappy on the 7th, the attraction more likely would be for men who are stable, ambitious, have wealth, etc. Oh, and those Aqua moons with your 7th house--they're hitting you where you live!  You already nailed it, the Ruler of your 7th conjuncts your sun! In your 4th house!! You like very dynamic people, and an Aries man would easily fit that bill.For everyone, when you look at the ruler in houses, more indicators, rather than specific signs necessarily. That's interesting...I think the 7th house ruler being conjunct the sun could indicate a partner with Leo/5th house energy, combined with Mercerial energy, like a Virgo with Leo rising, or something like that....I say this because I've got Gemini on the 7th, and Mercury is conjunct my sun as well, and I'm with a Virgo (ruled by Merc) with Leo rising (ruled by the sun), and my last relationship was with a Virgo sun/Leo moon. Kooky, huh? (P.S. I didn't marry eithor one, but I think that, technically 7th house includes any long-term partner, not just marriage partners.) IP: Logged |

Yes, I have always been drawn to interesting men ( But, I guess all could say that...~"Yes, I'll take that boring looking one in the corner with his thumb in his bum please...")Nope.. I like the artists and creative thinkers. Artist is subjective....

But Aries cerainly fits the bill.
But funny, what Lioneye said.. I have a very good friend ( we used to date) Who is a Virgo with Virgo moon and Leo rising, like me.... Our Mars/Venus aspects are nice....

pixel, I don't want to speak for lioneye, she actually is far better than I at interpreting astrology, but what I think she's saying...is that with the ruler of the 7th house conjuncting your natal sun--you get a 5th house/Leo vibe because the 5th house is the natural home of the Sun and Leo.I have Aqua on the 7th, with Mars in Pisces in the 7th...my natal Uranus is in the 12th in Leo...so I look for interesting men who are slippery, and yet, dynamic.  So where the heck do you think I'll find him?  Forgive me lioneye, I just wanted to see if I was following your train of thought correctly. silverbells, we were looking at Uranus for pixel, because it's the ruler of her natal 7th.  IP: Logged |

Hello I'm soo confused here! I have Gemini on Seventh where ruler Mercury (in Libra) is in 10th, conjunct Venus, Mars, (Juno), and Pluto. (in Libra) I find myself attracted to Aquarians? I don't get along too well with Gem's ... I think because the square to my natal Sun in Virgo. But I do love intellectual exchanges and learning from my partners. (Mercury) I'm confused. Are there any other indicators available? I've checked out Venus and Mars as well, but nothing really fits?? Oh well. I give up. lol.

Gosh, I'd have to say that if the ruler of your 7th house is conjunct a bunch of other planets, you would have more complicated expectations of your partner. So, the case of Stellar1, with the ruler of her 7th being conjuct Venus and Mars and Pluto...she would expect her partner to be (or he simply is, or WILL be)comminicative and mentally agile, as well as Libra or Taurus like, but somewhat Aries like as well, and action oriented, but at the same time, emotionally intense, with a powerful personality. So, your mate has to be pretty well rounded. What house system puts all the Libra stuff in your 10th? Another one might put it all in the 11th, which in your case, might be more accurate, judging by the fact that you're often drawn to Aquarians. (unless it just so happens that they are the one sign that seems to fill all those shoes for you)PS: I guess other aspects should be considered as well, not just the conjunctions involving ruler of the 7th, but I don't want this to get too confusing. PPS...When it comes to planets found in the 7th, I don't think the sign matters near as much as the energy associated with that planet. So, Mars in the 7th indicates a partner who is energic, pioneering, commanding, forcefull...you know, Aries like, even if it's in the sign of Pisces. I tink so. Yep, Lioneye, that is probably ture. The ruler of my 7th is Neptune sitting in the 3rd conj. Venus, Marss & Jupiter. Complicated is an accurate word. But nevertheless, my longest and most meaningful realtionship so far has been with a Picses. IP: Logged |

Hey Lioneye - you're brilliant! That's the first time anyone's been able to clear my confusion re: 7th House cusps, partners, and relationships.Yes, you're totally right on. I need a mate who fits almost all of the above (intelligent, ambitious, ethical, polished, honest, sincere) and my deepest love so far has been with a kind and compassionate Aries. (I have a Libra Moon). With 11th House/Aquarian - I do have Libra on the cusp, Uranus singleton and North Node there. Maybe that explains part of the attraction to wonderful Aqua types. Now you got me all thinking and cracked a code into this puzzle for me. (BTW Venus Virgo is on the cusp of 10th house/ Merc, Mars at 2 deg Libra, Pluto at 10 deg) Thank you soo much for your help! s* IP: Logged |

My Ascendant is Libra so the Descendant/7th house is in Aries, its ruler Mars is in the 4th house in Aquarius, I've always likes Aqua's; their so fun and unique!! (PS, have I done it right??)

hi muse that was a really interested food for thought.
ok now my asc is aqua.... and dsc is leo. Sun is the ruler of leo. right so far
and sun is in the fifth house of my chart i.e. gemini.
so that means that I will find someone at the school gatherings etc. does that mean that he will either be a leo (which is the fifth sign) or a leo asc. (i think i am going in loops).. help me understand this accurately. my partner is a leo asc. and an aqua dsc exactly opposite as mine... so his dsc ruler uranus is inscorpio that is the fourth sign in his chart.
so that means he will attract someone who is a cancer sun moon or asc. Right! yikes i think i have got it all wrong. incidentally his moon is cancer & i am a gemini/cancer cusp sun. born on 19th june. tell me is this the right definition i've got? thanks

K, purplezen.. good thing you posted that info you did on the other thread.....
You have Leo rising, like me..... therefore, you have Aquarius on your seventh house cusp. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus.... so wherever the house ruler on your descendant falls in your chart would have the significance if the house is empty. In your case ( as in mine,) it is Uranus.*heehee*. Go have a look see and find out who you know that you could relate this too that makes snse.....IP: Logged |

HI, this is interesting:>My 7th house is Gemini, and my Mercury is in Gemini. But my ascendant's ruler is in Virgo in the 10th house. My last love was an investigator for a large company and very much an authority figure. I usually find lovers who end up working for me in some way or vice versa. This time my object of affection is a writer who is a Gemini, so there is some truth to this theory.
It seems I am truly stuck on him and him on me, this time and he is no authority figure. We are at this time, so far, equals. His seventh house contains Virgo. Natasha

I find, as I have written earlier on this thread, that Aquarius Moons and I seem to have a deep kinship. Aquarius and Scorpio do not share many similarities, so naturally, Sun sign Aquarians and I don't seem to have more than casual interactions in my day to day life. Maybe the dilution of the moon and other aspects, for me, allow us to relate on a more personal level.
But your Signs would make a difference...
So not Aquarius, per say, but look to your own chart for where Uranus is,(The ruler of your descendant in our cases) and what house it is in, what aspects it makes.
Mine is conjunct my Sun and Mars and Uranus... in my fourth house, the natural house of Cancer(and the Moon.. hey, I may be on to something here.... being that Aquarius Moons and I seem to have a kinship). So in my case, all he places where the planets rule, seem to mean something. Seems to point to a deep spiralling thought. Cool.IP: Logged |
