Hugs for Gemini Nymph. Wanna swap sobs over a bottle of Merlot? Ahhhh, I'm feeling pretty chipper today, you can do all the sobbing, if you like.

Just teasing about the panties. Cross-dressing doesn't bother me in the least. I too have a fondness for somewhat submissive men. They're so devoted and grateful. It's all just an illusion, anyway. But Mom's actual panties? Yeah, that guy has issues.

Henry Rollins...interesting person, tortured soul. Keanu has always seemed to be wound too tight...a house of cards that will one day fall. A (not-so-very-successful) screenwriter buddy of mine says Tom Cruise (a Cancer? I can't recall) can't lose the rumors that he too is 'sexually confused.'

Feel better, AJ and GN.

Thanks Trillian.

Yeah, I have a bunch of Henry Rollins books, as he was born the same year as me. I might be one of the few people on this planet who sees and understands this man's heart. But how the hell am I supposed to meet Henry Rollins? Unless I send him a copy of one of my upcoming books and he's so impressed he contacts me.

I wouldn't think of him as marriage material either, but his arrogance really wouldn't bug me too much.

A.J., mention Henry on your acknowledgement page, and when your book is published, send him a copy with a thank you note.

Then it's gonna be a potential orgy, cuz if I put HIM down in my acknowledgements, I'd have to put down a few others, and who knows who'll show up...

(especially after they see me in the sleeve cover - whooooo such a hottie - hee hee...)

Aqua Sun, Cap moon, Pis merc, Aries Venus and Cancer Mars if I remember correctly. He admits he's emotionally unbalanced, more or less, and has acted like it all his career.

I can relate to that somewhat, I'm an Aqua sun, Cap moon. But I have Venus in Sag and Mars in Aqu. So I think that helps me lighten up a whole lot, if it doesn't help at all with my intimacy issues, lol.

I am recently out of a relationship and it hurts really bad. What I find interesting is that there is a certain clergy that has been there for me through some of this crisis. I hope he does not have any intentions towards me because I am no where near ready to date. He has mentioned that he has Mars in Cancer, Sun in Taurus, and a Scorpio moon. What exactly does Mars in Cancer entail?

Thanks...

I just hooked up with an aires sun/cancer mars with a leo moon. he is so sexy to me! I have a taurus sun, taurus mars and aquarius moon and we both have an aires venus. I made him dinner on our 3rd date but he got sick and was sick for 2 days! Do you think he'll ever forget it and overlook it? I really am a good cook. Oh and he's 26 and i'm 38 but look 28.

For all those who are not successful with Mars in Cancer men, I would bless you with blessed water but all I have is this icon.

Carry on ... and don't forget the nanny ...

But Gloria, what about the emotional strength of Mars in Cancer? Doesn't this placement give more than receive? It has to be better than Mars in Gemini. I am hesitant to reveal why I'm asking:> Do they always come off as friends, and hang around until you do the asking?

What do you mean by bring the nanny, can you refresh my memory?

Thanks,

The hore or the madonna and I'm not into mother-in-laws, and I was going to ask you, what DOES a Mars in Cancer guy have going for him with someone like me? Half the time, I feel like I'm playing charades. Let's see how long he keeps this up until he notices the ace in my feather.

It's like I said before, about when we are together it's perfect, but the dance to get together is difficult. Let's see, a Mars in Taurus maybe? Mars in Capricorn or Leo? I can't see anything happening with any other. If he'd only take off his side-visors and listen to me explain to him about his Cancer Opp Capricorn T-Square, and how I have the same. It's like, no, it's what HE says. So I'm like, OK - I'll pretend I know nothing. Let HIM "corrupt" me. It's maddening sometimes. It's why a big part of me is like - hey, I thought after Mr. T I was ready for marriage, but now I'm REALLY ready for marriage. Does that make sense? This Cancer Moon is like, if I had a broom, I could make it fly right now ...

Hey newbie to astrology -

Step right in, the water is fine. All the Aries' here rock, and as for Cancer, if it's a general unspoken understanding, the Water Signs. But it goes beyond that too. If it's a business relationship, or a romantic one, or friendship, etc.

Each of us has a Chart with each of the Planets in in a specific place when we were born, sort of like putting a time stamp on us. So there is not really a "typical" Sign, we try to avoid generalities around here.

Okay, this is how it is for me, Cancer Mars, they get you all buttered up and act friendly only do not like to commit unless you have major problems. Once you don't they go on to someone else to help. They like to talk and prefer to be the one in charge of the conversation. They always think you are a little too feminist, or riled up, and they prefer a woman who is super feminine and needs a man by her side. They like sexy women who flirt, which makes it hard to tell if they like you, You try hard to be independent only they don't like that, and then when you lean, they try and fix you.

Right?
Even though Mars in Cancer shows off as the assertive one, this is not an assertive placement, and will go with the one who makes the major decisions. Goes well with Scorpio sun.

I too like this placement but mainly as friends, I'm not like a Scorpio, and I can't dress as sexy. Saving money is boring, and Scorpio women can have it all, a relationship and a flirtation on the side, so they are always a mystery.

I would think your Mars in Scorpio would be a magnet for Mars in Cancer, but possibly Mars in Libra, or Sag would be better.
I usually love Mars in Scorpio only I find it's very elusive sometimes.

For examle, when you said you went away for a month to work things out, that's elusive. There's mystery and depth, but I think I would worry that person wouldn't be there for me if things got rough or if I needed to talk. Mars in Taurus is always around, but it's more talky. I always feel Mars in Scorpio is holding out for something better, because it's so elusive. So I feel a little bit about all the water mars like you do about mars in cancer, doing the dance.

mars in Scorpio is also very impatient. My cousin has this, and if she doesn't get a call from a date in two days she goes out with someone else, and she never forgets a slight. I always feel I am going to do something wrong, plus she seems so shy sometimes, and then assertive other times, it's so confusing as to what she really wants.

Communication is difficult as I bet you never told the Cap mooner, half of what you write here. Have you told him your deepest thoughts, or what you were thinking about that month?

So far, I like Mars in Libra and Taurus since it always shares the thoughts, and emotions, although this can be a very emotional placement and subject to depression. However mars/sun conjunctions mean short term affairs.

We make great friends. As for Mars, Mars in Aries, Mars in Sag, and Mars in Leo get me as I believe they take me seriously as a person, no hore/madon thing ever, only real people.

Mars in Virgo is pretty cool and happy, Mars in Capricorn is very sexy to me but insecure about being left alone. Basically earth mars means deep insecurity underneath.

Recently on a sad note, I called a cap mars friend who had broken off a relationshp with a very abusive Sag only to find that he was there in the house. I guess she couldn't be alone anymore, but I wish she had called me or someone else. Now he will never leave without force. Do not be fooled by Mars in earth signs, underneath they are easily swayed by a strong personality.

So if you want a strong assertive male, I would recommend Mars in Aries, there is the Mars to your Pluto, and this placement makes a man a player in youth, turned serious and committed around 30. Be sure to date over 30 because then you have the Saturn return which adds maturity.

Mars in Taurus could oppose your Neptune/Mercury conjunction, and honestly this is not a sensitive placement for a man. A Mars in Taurus man despises weakness, crying, emotion, or anything in the least bit feminine. Underneath he is always trying to fix that, and will eventually go with a woman who is a little on the cool side. This could hurt your sensitive side. I have been told by Mars in Cap, Virgo, and Taurus this year, that they did not like emotional neediness. I dated all three.

Gloria look to see if a man has aspects to Pluto or Mars to his Mars or Venus, in my opinion that is a good sign for you. I have a strong Mars influence too, and aspects to Pluto/Mars signify a strong presence. Your Neptune wants sensitive but you have to feed your strength too. You can have it both ways. My ex had Neptune conjunct Mercury in Scorpio, and he got me anyway. We have composite Mars in the 8th and communication was difficult, but he's the only man I ever loved. His mars is Libra/7th house, my opposite, but it did not last.

I have been seriously thinking of him lately, and want to talk, but I am afraid he will think I am playing games. He is so serious. I would get back together with him in a second if I thought it would work, but I have been told we have a saturn aspect that always ends in divorce. His Capricorn Saturn singleton is square my Venus, and is square his Mars.

I loved the Taurus mooner, but you know, he is just such a game player. He liked to be very elusive, who knows how he felt. If he had any love he sure kept it in the closet.

That is my recommendation, don't be all or nothing, be patient but take what you have from each man. I know now what you mean by Cancer mars men who like to be the one in charge, it's a little controlling isn't it? Do you think these men have been so burned in the past they never want to show their feelings again?
Do you think they want a woman to be Dependent rather than Needy? Maybe earth/water mars men really want a woman who needs help rather than someone independent no matter what they say?

I know Mars in Aries and Libra really like an assertive woman, and do not like to make decisios around the house at all. (one of the great things about my ex)

Thank you Natasha for your thoughts. Yes, he knows why I took that time off, and if he needs time for himself this time, so be it. He knows I only want the best for him.
