It's really difficult to do your own synastry. Maybe I'm missing the necessary objectivity...But, I noticed something really weird when doing synastry for myself and a few ex's. With each person one of the following is true, my moon sign (leo) is their venus, their sun sign is in my 4th (home) or 7th (relationship) house (vice versa), or we share a venus sign (cancer) but every other part of the chart is contrary. Has anyone else had these aspects or do I just have bad taste? IP: Logged |

That's not really all thet weird at allIt would offer an explanation as to what attracted you to them and vice versa, in the first place Your emotions and feelings (moon) would have been tuned into the way they expressed affection or attraction (venus) hence on that level at least you would have felt an affinity with each other. Thank you Viper, Do you think that my sun in their venus would be more compatible versus moon in partner's venus?IP: Logged |

Both are very good placements but, the Sun conjunct Venus is, in my opinion, even better. There is a thread on those placements in the astrology forum, under 'No win Situation' You also state those placements always seemed to be in the 4th or 7th houses - again, that would indicate why you felt at home with them and valued them as individuals - from a partnership perspective

The Moons energies are somewhat more hidden in their effect compared to the Sun. The moon, represents your inner feelings and emotions - not something which is always displayed to the world whereas the sun is a more outwardly expressed energy, so in effect, a Moon Venus contact would be a strongly sensed energy but may not necessarily be displayed as an open show of affection, and not necessarily something displayed in public, whereas a sun venus contact would be more open and prominent in terms of how these energies were expressed and far more willing to display themselves in public.IP: Logged |

Thank you Viper,That's pretty much spot on. I have dated someone with Venus in Taurus and the connection was not as deep, I feel, as it is with a Venus in Leo person. Now, I have to figure out if that's a good or bad thing. Thank you again. IP: Logged |
