EighthMoon I love him too! It is a hoot to read his books in silly mode. Read it by starting every word with the same letter. Like instead of "Horton Hears A Who".. Use a "B"... "Borton Bears Ba Bho"... Kids love it! But be careful of the little wise guys who get you to use an "F" when they know the word "duck" will turn into... Schrödinger's cat....Ever ever and evermore elusive! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schr%C3%B6dinger's_cat My kitty is going to be fine. Mostly growing pains. And a little head cold. ------------------ "Heaven doesn't want me and Hell is afraid I'll take over and start a rehab for the damned!" ~Judgement Must Be Balanced With Compassion~ ~Do Not Seek Wealth From The Suffering, Or The Dire Needs Of Others~ ~Assumption Is The Bane Of Understanding~ ~ if you keep doing what you did, you'll keep getting what you got.~ Everything changes. Dance of SoulmatesThroughout expanses of time O'er oceans and desolate sands How I have traveled in search of thee, Upon mistral winds your voice did beckon Like a siren calls to the lost with her song How I have listened to find thee, In the visions of sages did your essence appear Such as the beauty of the rising sky How I have longed for the sight of thee, Like an eager flower awaiting the rain And the rumbling hunger of a forgotten child How I have ached to be filled with the love of thee, The abyss of solitude have I endured For this recherché moment to arrive when together again our Souls Dance

"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being in love which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two." A man who truly loves women is in love with the Divine Feminine in all women. Behind the personal self, he glimpses a divine audience and teacher. He may never give his heart to just one woman, for every woman bears only a fraction of the beauty of the Eternal Femme, and, in his flight, he tears through every veil, and, in his truth, he only ever loves one woman. And her name is Goddess. That is who he aches for, and who he most deeply desires to romance. No mortal woman could ever satisfy such tastes for very long.~ Valerian the Fool Except maybe Whitney Houston. She's every woman. She found the greatest love of all inside of her! I bet if you really plumbed her soul, you could find the Goddess, too. Man, Bobby Brown is the luckiest dude alive. I'm totally kidding. What am I talking about? Splash! IP: Logged |

...it sounds like that guy is in love with the divine personality of every woman and the reflection he finds within it. He likes the interplay and variety. If he was loving the Goddess only, he'd see that just one woman contained all he wanted to romance or worship. He really didnt need to try them all out. Or he did, to learn... "for every woman bears only a fraction of the beauty of the Eternal Femme" Maybe each man and woman is really whole and contains the All and you can "find it all" in one (yes, each one, even). It's a matter of how to look....knowing that which is before you. Learning how to love one person deeply over a long period of time can be a lot harder (but more transforming and fulfilling) than liking a lot a little. Just an opinion! *ducks* IP: Logged |

Very good points, T!And I think you are right. It is possible to find the divine within the mortal. Still, I think it has to, at least, be a pretty good match. We cant discount our limitations altogether. Always, we need to take into consideration the imminent and the transcendant; the transcendant and the imminent; -- because they are two sides of the same coin. Short of that, anything we say is "half-assed".
