...........with your opposite?

Just wondering... I know if you have trines/sextile/positive connection between your inner chart synastry, aside from suns, it can be like glue/magnetic....

What have your experiences been?

There was a certain Aries chap who I was magnetically drawn to despite knowing it wouldn't work beyond a night of unbridled passion!

He was drawn to me in the same way and we would dance this strange on-off tango of flirtation and disinterest until it became impossible to ignore one another any longer.

We had our night... and it had the effect of scratching the itch we'd both felt for so long so completely, that we never saw each other again.

Odd but satisfying.

No idea what the rest of his chart was like so can't compare trines etc but I can't think there could have been any major synastry or we'd not have relinquished each other so readily.

Pix, do you mean your astrological opposite? If so, I've never dated a Gemini.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, wait...

Oh my gosh! I did date a Gemini, like a million years ago. Or ten. Give or take.

Forgot, forgot, forgot about him.

It was...ummm... interesting. I'll just say this for now:

I was working for the summer on an island in Lake Erie, and those of us who worked there lived in dorms together. So we were stuck on this rock for three months and he was, I guess, my fling.

Weird experience. Weird guy. Soooo not my ordinary thing.

Thanks for the reminder!

(I think!)

I've never dated a Taurus.

Last summer while I bartended, I did have a Taurus guy that would come in. He was really nice... always tried getting my phone number. A really good tipper

Well, opposite Venus/Mars can get interesting, and if trines are involved elsewhere in the chart, it can indicate a caring for each other on a deep level. My parents had BOTH of their Venus opposite the other's Mars (a Taurus/Scorpio combination - go figure) and, despite having done some awful things to each other and now living apart, they still see each other on a friendship level, and can't seem to let go on a mental level.

BTW, I have never in my life been attracted to a Libra, whatever their chart positions, it just doesn't happen.

I'll be back to enter a response when I have more time. In a nutshell, the attraction is explosive and mutual, it's just that the similarity of nature (Cardinal vs. Cardinal) gets in the way. I'd be interested to see if Fixed and Mutable signs have the same problem. That's why I like the idea of a Scorp or a Pisces now. I'm hoping for the same intensity of feelings without the struggle of similarity.

The only fixed sign that I'm generally really attracted to is Leo. It's almost a purely romantic/sexual attraction.

I have met a few Aquas that were really attractive as well. It's more of a I love to hear their views and thoughts.

I always have a good time with Leos and Aquas. Taurus too. Just a different type of good time with the bulls.

Taurus - I think I have to be with someone that spurs me on. They are very romantic and sensual... but I think I'd just sit around and eat with them. They are sweet though. I envy their patience.

My first encounter with the gemini was pretty interesting. We were working together and, while I had seen him of course, I had never paid much attention to him.

One day I was leaning up against a cooler when out of nowhere he stood right in front of me, like six inches away and leaned forward, thumping one hand on either side of my head. I don't know if I can explain that right, but hopefully you get the picture.

He had these fascinating greenish-yellow eyes and he just stared at me. I must have looked a bit shocked, and once he realized it, he just smiled and walked away.

Then basically ignored me for the rest of the night. Until after work. He stopped by my room and invited me out for a beer.

Sounds pretty creepy, and at the time I realized this, but something about it intrigued my sag curiosity... I was hooked!

Ahhhhhhh, memories!

Uh, cappy guys seem mistrustful of me for some reason-or afraid. I dunno why either...the gurls love me and the feeling's mutual. Its too bad cause cappy guys are funny.

I Cappys too!

Something sorta' related ( in my personal readings, anyway...)
I was reading relationship signs, and in the love aspect part in the beginningm she talks about Sun square Saturn, and of course, all those fated sort of previous karma connections... in that particular one, she says;
The soul testing limitations you both experience under this influence can take several forms: the illness of one or both, difficulties in cutting ties with a former lover or mate, brief periods of impotency or frigidity, brief financial restrictions, and so on. But note the word brief. That's the key. Hang on to that and forget the rest. If you're both reasonably enlightened souls, you'll be able to conquer these vibrations and enjoy the rich reward of true happiness, which is gained only after a long struggle and testing of worthiness. That's why genuine happiness is so rare in love. Few possess the required patience-or faith in the promises for tomorrow.

Then there is Venus trine Saturn to reinforce.
So squares are sometimes necessary. Reading that gave me a voice for the inability to let go I am feeling.

Nope, have never been involved with a II. I met one earlier this month at work, who like Future's friend had lovely eyes. He was funny and chatty, following me around for awhile. I got brave and asked him "When's your birthday?" "June 17th". Smile, I knew it. The II boys, well they seem fun but I don't know. Maybe they are too flighty for me, as I'm already flighty enough by myself (moon in the 3rd).
As for expression, my chart is mutable loaded. I always, always, almost always w/o fail fall for the Cardinals. They ground me and I feel protected from myself around them.

Hiya Pixelpixie,

I've dated quite a number of Libra Sun guys. A good friend of mine that I hang out with and party often is a Libra Sun too.

I had a brief relationship with a Libra Sun with a Cancer Moon guy last year. The chemistry was *Wow* . . . gave me an orgasm with just french kissing . . .

We were drawn to each other right away and he did all the perfect things guys do when they really like a girl.

But ~ I had a strong sixth sense he was holding back . . .

So why didn't it work out? He still had unrequited feelings for his ex girlfriend and was too afraid to tell me he was going to travel overseas to see her "as a friend" until a few days before departure.

Well, somehow I was able to weedle out some more information, which lead him to be more comfortable with saying that he wanted to try again with her ~ even though he broke off their engagement over a year ago.

Hope this helps Madame Pixie!

Gemini men.. my opposite, romantically always seem to hurt me.. and I mean hurt me. For some reason they try to get physically violent with me. I was engaged to one that ended up cracking my ribs one night.. he was out the door.

Mr. Taurus was right on the cusp.. BUT.. he had Mercury in Gemini in the first house.. he was very Gemini in some ways.. but that is old news

I usuallly find myself in a battle with a Gemini- they want to challenge everything that I have to say or do. One minute they are cold, then hot...

Like Linda Goodman said.. "They hold your hand and teach you to fly, but be prepared for them to let go of your hand while you fend for yourself" I paraphrase.. but that is how it seems at least for me and Gemini men.

I can't even think about taurus men w/o getting a little shaky. But I've never dated one. I've always said no - although once it was extremely difficult - because I didn't want to be overwhelmed like that.

stupid, huh?

I guess I'd rather overwhelm than be overwhelmed. At least physically.

Pidaua - I sympathize with you on Gem Men. I'm a Gem woman and I've never dated any Sag males, but I've known a few and I enjoy them very much. There are differing view points, but nothing that I've ever felt couldn't be worked out.

My mom is a Sag and I feel that there is NOTHING under the sun that I can't talk to her or any Sag about. I love the fact that they don't shock easily if @ all.
