Ithaca,
sound like he's having difficulty moving on... sad because there is probably someone out there alone, and wishing she could find him.

H'lo Blue topaz...thank you so much for your words...they reaffirmed my options to me.Its hard to keep perspective sometimes and to get an objective view was the reason behind my post. Some days I'm so sure that I'm doing the right thing and then there are days when I just feel so lost and lonely!!!...and thats not the infamous cancerian moodiness!!
Kat,I dunno know about any more moving on for him.I mentioned that he's been married a second time for the last 4 years now; according to him she's a nice person. He hopes to stay married this time.He is in touch with me and wants to try and be as happy as he can within the situation. He feels since he knows he will never have the happiness he gets/would have got being with me and it's almost 25 years now;any kind of search would be futile.
But then I see soo much suffering and all kinds of tragedies going on around us...a world in need of compassion and hope; and thats when I just feel humbled into being grateful for what we both have...in our seperate lives as well as together!!
Does that make sense???
Am I not supposed to be old enough to work this out for myself???....???
Yet I'm looking for someone in this forum to help me???
Does THAT make sense????

old enough to work this out for yourself??? If you could totally work this out for yourself would you need other people? God? I think like that alot and realize that reaching out to other people isn't such a bad thing. People have different perspectives that maybe we haven't thought of. Life is complicated. Good advice is a good thing.
