Hi Kay Libra,I am so sorry to hear about what you're going through. Raising a baby is really tough. Would you be able to move back in with your parents with your baby? I know it probably sounds like stretch from what everyone here is saying. It just sounds like there needs to be additional lifestyle changes to make the whole thing work out.  Aphrodite IP: Logged |

Things are going ummm okay I guess. I don't think I'm really allowing myself to experience the hurt and pain. Sometimes I'll think about the situation and cry and then I stop myself. I really haven't let out a good cry and just you know experienced the pain. Sometimes I feel literally ill if I think about the bad stuff. I'll be going to San Juan in less than 7 days so I'm hoping that this vacation will give me peace. As far as the dad stepping up the plate more he did buy pampers last week, attending the baby's doctor appt (he had his first series of shots --my poor baby) and then yesterday he gave me $20 (oooooweee) but it was something.IP: Logged |

Don't be negative Kay.. It is a step like you said..Pray for him. God can change ppl
I know told you I went through almos the same thing. My lil ones dad was like your guy somewhat there is a few differences. & years later I think that he is a great dad and has tried really hard to step up to the plate. My son is spending the summer with him out of town. He never took my son for this long he is trying..I allowed him to do just that. He made me mad and I cursed him but as I grew and focused on what I must do and put my faith in GOD to handle this it got better and now my sons dad says to me you are my inspiration. We are not together or anything but I prayed for him and tried really hard to except his shortcomings and things turned out ok..GOD works miracles.. IP: Logged |

hey KAY,
im not sure if all the people in here that replied to your question were female or males,but heres a point of veiw from my point a veiw and it will be a male point of view.1)give your self time to greive,
2)place a picture of the child and him in the childs room of a good time the picture was taken so you get to release all the hurt inside eg.daddy holding you on your birthday,those comments will help release all the ugly and hurt feelings you Have towards him the father,
3)get rid of all old linen
dont want anything left from him to remind you of him,bad enough your got thoughts of him.THEY WILL BE REPLACED OF HAPPY ONES WITH YOUR BABY.
4)you have already asked for help by starting here, keep doing it looking for babysitters,need a dollar to by milk,or its just getting to much,
5)Claim child support
You need to survive and your baby And lastly the one thing i saw here were numbers,alot of statistics,And my mother, though my family life was nothing like this i didnt or wouldnt want my mother to have lived her life like this regardless of how much love she had for my father.
think this much DEATH like the HIV/AIDS virus has no cure.
take care of your self and that little one of yours.
he dosent need to be an ophan with a dead-beat father if something was to happen to you. ------------------
