Hey Guys... I was just wondering around again and one topic interests me alot... Saturn Returns... Me and my Cappy man both have Saturn in Virgo, he was born in '77 while I was born in '79... When do you think we will begin to feel the effects of the Saturn Return? Lately I've been noticing some good changes in my Cappy... maybe he's going through his Saturn Return? Anyone with any info. can really help... Thanks... TTFN

Welcome, scorpluv!!

They say that the years between 28 & 30 are when you feel the effects of the Saturn Return. He should be getting to the end of his (when he turns 30), while you'd be about ready to start yours next year or so. Knowing the house that Saturn is transiting through during your return will help you understand the lessons Saturn brings. Also, the aspects that Saturn makes - for, you'll feel the effects a bit more in those areas of your life. If, for example, Saturn is conjuncting the ruler of your 10th house or actually in your 10th house, it might involve changes in your career.

Check out this thread; it has all the info I could find on the Saturn Return, and the specific effects of transits on planets, etc.:

I'm going through mine as well. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!!

Hi Sunshine!

I am a rookie when it comes to astrology, but I have Saturn in the first house and am 29 and in my Saturn return. What area of life does the first house affect?

Thanks so much!

Scarlett

Hey guys ~ Currently I have transiting Saturn the EXACT degree as my natal Saturn (2nd house)! I am 'in it', can't believe it's here already! I feel pretty darn good too. It's ain't over yet so we'll see what happens really. I think I had a much harder time right before my Saturn Return than I am now that it's happening. Maybe it's because Saturn moved through my 1st house before this Return?! Maybe I have just been doing my 'homework' and am now, dare I say, acing my final exam hehe

scorpluv ~ I say that one will start to feel, ever so slightly, the effects of Saturn as soon as tSaturn enters the same sign as it was when you were born. You will really feel it w/in about 4 degrees before tSaturn meets up to the exact degree of your nSaturn. Then, when Saturn goes retrograde you may find that you sort of come back to the things you thought you've learned but apparently needed to go over again hehe (especially if Saturn retros back to and/or over your exact natal degree).
My boyfriend has his Saturn at 0*Virgo (1st house!) and he may start to feel that 'vibe' around 27*Leo (just an estimate) which is sometime at the beginning of next year.

ScarlettSoul ~ Saturn in now going 'below the horizon' of your chart. This means it's time to start restructuring your inner world. You start by working on your self (1st house)! The restructuring is the positive, but on the other side of things you might feel restricted too. It's about surrendering and making conscious change to the things that no longer 'grow corn' for you. If you don't work on yourself, your soul, then Saturn might decide to make things happen that force you to change!

Most of all... enjoy where you are at! This is a thresh-hold that all of us must cross

Hey there SL!

I figured I'd respond to your topic here as I think this is probably easier for you to check than email.

I'm the same year as you - 1/2/79. My Saturn is in 13 deg. of Virgo at the very end of the 2nd or early in the 3rd house. I hadn't really read much on the Saturn return, but now that you've brought it up I find it quite interesting, albeit a little scary! eeping:

Sounds to me like your Cap is making some very positive changes, which is great and very comforting to those of us who haven't gone through it yet. Actually I wonder if his strange/irratic behavior BEFORE might have had something to do with him approaching the Saturn return??? Maybe now that he's probably about half way through it, he's gaining some perspective and clarity?

Hmmmm...I've been doing a lot of soul searching lately. Now that this has been brought to my attention, it seems to explain a lot of the angst and anxiety I've been feeling over the last year or so. It also seems that some friendships/relationships in my life seem to be on the cusp of ending, if they have not already. I'm also noticing a huge difference in my relationship with my mother. It's much more strained, difficult, and complex than it's ever been. I see her in a very different light now than I used to. Her faults which I guess I blocked out almost completely through most of my youth, are now glaringly obvious to me. I find myself in disagreement with her the majority of the time, and it's been a huge strain on me. I'm curious to see how the next couple of years will unfold as far as my relationship with her goes...

I think Saturn's biggest kick in the a$$ for me will be career. I've struggled for the past 10 years as far as what I really want to do. All signs are pointing in one direction, I just need to figure out how to get there. I'm sure this return will attempt to force me to make up my mind and get the ball rolling.

30 will be scary for me in and of itself. I'm one of those people who's rarely satisfied with myself, and I know all I'll be thinking about is what I HAVEN'T accomplished at that point. That's going to be tough for me...

Hi CrankyCap ~ I also have Saturn at the very edge of my 2nd/3rd house cusp (it's in my 2nd by mere minutes). I have found that the Saturn Return here in this house has to do with your own finances or your own values (that you give to things or yourself).

For example, I have now finally paid of a big credit card debt that i've been diligently paying off for years. Yay! I also didn't realize that I was so close to paying off my car as well! So thank you Saturn. But I also have to keep myself in check so that I don't create any more debt. I have also noticed that what physical, earthly pleasures I used to like, I no longer value anymore! My values have greatly changed.

Your Saturn in Virgo will lend a nice detail oriented time for you to restructure things, like maybe your career. It could help you with a practical plan with making some $$. Watch out for any mental negativity or criticalness (is this a word? hehe) toward yourself or others. Hope that helps a bit

Hexxie,

Yes that does help thank you! Good to know that you're making it through this ok.

It's also very comforting to know that you were able to pay off some debts! LOL...that gives me hope!

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the feedback, I do appreciate it... I don't know, Cappy is definitely in one of his cranky moods lately... Over the past 3 days he's been acting odd, but whatever... lol Nothing new... lol I was just wondering about the Saturn Return because I think it is beginning to feel the effects of this transition earlier in the year and is beginning to increase. Also, Cappy has been experiencing some strong feelings lately that I don't think he can explain... I try to just think of it as a growth process... shedding the skin... However, I tend to go through stages like that quite often in fact... I'm beginning to learn how to let go of the things that don't fit anymore, whereas in the past I would've held on w/all my might... Anymore input would be great... Cranky... I replied to the emails... what's going on? lol How's life and love?

Hey SL!

Yep, I got your email response...just thought I'd post on here since the question was along the same lines.

Hmmmm...the love life's not going so well at the moment. My Scorp and I have been fighting for two days now. He really took out his claws last night (Leo moon), and he ended up hanging up on me. Sadly right now I'm not sure what's going on, or where we stand. What's worse is that this was just blown tremendously out of proportion. Part of me is thinking it's my fault, but at the same time you can't really apologize for who you are or how you feel ya know? Anyway, it's really bothering me...haven't been able to sleep much the last couple days.

CrankyCap, How's everything w/Scorp? I haven't heard from ya in a while so I was just curious to see how things are... You know, me and Cappy have had a crappy couple of weeks together also... Something in the air? lol Hit me up when you have a chance....
