BUNNIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! quote:
Got Gemini? You've ruined everything. Never again will I be able to try and get away with the "washbasin freshen up" without visualizing you banging on the door shouting "Are you in there lady? Trifling with a washcloth? It's just plain trifling I tell you!!
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL hilarious, I read it again and I laugh again Personally, I love the smell a healthy man's sweat, not soap. "Ever killed or murdered anyone for any reason other than self defense/non-military"
LOL!!!!! I guess I can agree with that one. hehe This thread is funny. I want to start my own thread! IP: Logged |

quote: Gothic guys that dress in all black and are afraid of the sun, have pet rats etc. Into "fantasy"; wizards, castles, princesses & dragons etc. *shudders* And for the most part, guys that wear jewelry. especially necklaces and have tons of horrible tatoos. Something simple like one small earring is okay on some, but generally, it's a no-no.
I was a Goth before it was fashionable. I have discovered that there is sleazy goth and intelligent Goth. I have had many odd pets, including rats,so a rat would not bother me. As for getting into fantasy too much, no, that I do not go for. Gold jewelry is usually tacky to me. Silver, crystals, hippie beads. those necklaces are cool by me. Tattoos only if they have real meaning, ie; spiritual, not typical dork ones. Like an Asian lover I had once, he was oddly naturally hairless everywhere, and was ornately and beautifully tattooed from his neck to feet. And Tantric..oh my! I also find Maori Tattoos very sexy! So it all depends on if the Goth look or tattoo look is exotic, eccentric, thought out, cultural, and so forth, and not a fad or an escapism thing. So it all depends on the particular fellow there. I wonder how many people have a liking for dwarfs and midgets? I must be an odd one because I have found several men of such short stature absolutely appealing! Mustaches and long hair too! OK..that was more about my likes not dislikes..... Cool thread! IP: Logged |

Heh heh..same here...and when I go on a head to toe "exploration" ...I do not want to taste deodorant, cologne, soap and such! Fresh natural and clean! Ok..now I need a cold shower!

I find it so not nice that waitresses and waiters demand tips. I mean, c'mon, do not take the job if you live for tips. Being tipped should be the tip of the iceberg , not a demand! I soo dont get it. I mean, I would much prefer my waiters and waitresses where nice to me because they were being sincere, not cos they had ulterior motives. Jeez!!! Thats my dealbreaker right there... my boyfriend being a waiter who expected to be tipped and somewhat holding their diner, who just went in there to enjoy their meal not thinking that if they didn't tip, they would effectively be ruining someones life, hostage!IP: Logged |

Are you kidding!!!??? Waiters and waitresses usually make BELOW minimum wage.... they LIVE on tips. When I waitressed, I made $2.95 an hour. That is nothing.... you can't live on that. Waitressing is difficult besides what some people think. IP: Logged |

Hey wheels! Yeah, people who have never done it dont know how hard it can be. Looks easy doesnt it? Dew, I guess you didnt realize how much we make per hour. Up until recently I made 2.38 per hour plus tips. I moved out of state and servers make 3....and something per hour here (dont remember exactly) plus tips. I am sincerely nice to every person I wait on and give exceptional service (from what i am told by them), thank you very much. It has nothing to do with ulterior motives and it's not because i am only thinking about how much they might tip me. I have worked with others who only care about that. I am genuinely nice to people because that is how I am with everyone anyway. It's natural. Of course we expect to be tipped, this is how we make our living. Why do you think there is a set standard percentage that people are expected to tip for good service? Yes, we live off of our tips. After claiming your tips your paycheck is usually anywhere from nothing to twenty bucks. Do you get it now? IP: Logged |

Did you ever get tipped Dew? I see you live in the UK. I worked in a hotel restaurant and it's not customary to tip in hotel restaurants in the UK because the cost of the meal is included in the room price very often. No tipping in coffee shops either, where I also worked for a while. It just wasn't part of the deal. Well we have national minimum wage over here, so it's not so bad (well, now we do, we didn't when I was a waitress). I'm not sure if minimum wages are set in the US, but I know tipping is more customary there. I think if you're only making a couple of dollars an hour in the US and you're a nice waitress then one shouldn't assume that it's insincerity if you provide good service. Waitressing is harder over there, US customers being more exacting and expecting a lot better than the sullen-faced waitresses one runs into in restaurants over here. I had a coach load of American tourists in that hotel once and they, very rightly, made me run around all over the place. Bloody right, they were paying top dollar. It's blindingly obvious if a waitress is being sincere. Don't see your point I'm afraid. "Challenge your employer". Hmmm, like that's ever going to happen when there are hundreds behind you waiting for a lovely job like yours that fits in with their college studies. Not to mention all the people from Poland who know how to earn a crust without moaning. Here's an example of some insincerity on my part. I had one particularly nasty experience with a horrible lady when I worked in a coffee shop. I approached her table with my notepad and said to her "Awful weather isn't it?" and she said "I came here to EAT not to TALK and give me the soup". So I said "Of course" (thinking, "I'll get ya, you dreg of humanity") Went back to the kitchen, had a word with the chef (my mate Jan, lovely woman, never met a funnier) and she wrote, in single cream on top of the soup the legend: "F**K YOU" and then a lovely sprig of parsley. So I carefully took it to the woman's table and set it down so she could read it clearly, smiled and retreated to a good vantage point with the chef. She looked very, very confused, like she couldn't believe what she was seeing. She shook her head like "No way is this happening to me". It was frickin hilarious. Didn't challenge it though. I know people have bad days, but pal, if you're going to talk to me like I'm some mess on your shoe then 'ave it. I don't resort to spitting, it is beneath my dignity - she was lucky. Anyway, back on topic.

You are right wheelsofcheese, I should probably clarify that I wasn't being personal and saying any of the waitresses here are insincere. I dont even know you guys and I think its a bit silly to assume I am directing the insincere comments at you! I mean...I totally didn't think you would take it personally. But as a novice on this internet communication thang, I need to step up! I also wasn't portraying myself as a non-tipper or a bad tipper either! I am a very good tipper, and I tip even when I have paid a high amount of service charge. I dont deserve a prize, it is just something I enjoy doing. Its just, i find it awful, and I empathise That this is what you have to do to survive. Stop enabling it! Err...back to topic?IP: Logged |

wheels, no way! Yes, my favorite, the table you greet and they dont even look at you and just say - sometimes by interrupting you - "Get me a coke." Um, what happened to please and thank you? Nice to meet you too. Fun stuff. IP: Logged |

Alright Dew? Sorry, I didn't mean to get all narky with you. Hey! I just thought of another one! Men who wear their collars standing up, especially on a polo shirt. It makes me projectile vomit. I just couldn't. It screams sleaze and general wankerishness. IP: Logged |

My ex husband no. 2 wore polo shirts constantly with the collars turned up. Ridiculous! They were so washed out they had gone grey. Towards the end of our marriage when we had descended into that hell, wherein you delight in any misfortune that happens to strike your beloved, I stuck a label on his back as he went off to one of his rugby club "do's" saying ALSO AVAILABLE IN WHITE.And no one told him all night. Oh deep joy! IP: Logged |
