quote: Hsc- Mel rocks. You are lucky to have her as a friend. Zulu women are a sneaky bunch. We look meek on the outside but we are fierce. It's only those few families who still practice the culture of old times. Our line is the equivalent of Earldom. Not the royal family, fortunately because those girls have even more obligations. King Zwelithini's daughter, you can google him, is a friend, acquaintant. We studied in the same college before we both went awol. Ha. Her life is worse. She still has to endure virginity tests or at least, the last time I spoke to her she had to lead the reed dance- which cracked me up because I doubt that she was a virgin. Also, she can't marry an ordinary guy because she's too expensive amongst other things. Because I was raised I'm just chief material, not King or queen, I have more freedom. Also, my blood is not blue. She's pure Zulu so she has an entire culture to preserve. She has a lot of sisters and a few brothers so it's not just her lot. It makes sense why I was raised like a secret. I don't have connections with that side. This girl and I met accidentally and she doesn't know my story.
You should write a book!
This is fascinating stuff. IP: Logged |

I wouldn't be allowed to write a book. Look at Credo Mutwa, death threats galore for breakimg the rules. We pass on knowledge by word of mouth to a select few because knowledge can be corrupted amongst other reasons. why do you think the world knows so little of Africa? But, did you know that we did c-sections before a c-sections were called c sections. but what the west calls sophistication, modern medicine, is deemed primitive by many here. Cutting people up is a bit strong for us. Also, catholism is so similar to some of our rituals, it's weird. As seen, those who know Africa, and not from Africa, live in Africa - upholding our ways and preserving our knowledge. But, it's all falling apart. When I was young, for fun I spoke to my grandma about life, doing plant and herb pop quizes and making straw mats.. Now, kids are on play station. Sad. Those who came to explore Africa and left to tell others, these compiled the biggest load of rubbish of anthropology. We get a laugh at what experts say about African culture. It's like the Matrix. Lol. Blue pill? Red pill? Hence, if you live in Africa, you are African. IP: Logged |

It's very interesting. Now I really think you should write a book. And publish anonymously! After you move to America, where you would be safer. What do you think of that idea?

I've never heard of that code, but thats really too bad. maybe its my preference but written history is nice, you know? Just to make it even more 'tangible' to me. I had no idea about that C-section thing though, gotta look that up. O__o And jah, There's alot of conceptions about the continent of Africa where I live, like the fact that people don't realize we don't speak the same language, yes, we are not all the same race, nor are East Africans and West Africans related in any way, shape, or form (sorry, thats a personal gripe of mine ).
