I was wondering when you met your twin (for those who have) was your life in order? Like did you pay off your debts, were you in a career, did you have your own place, were you happy with your life, were you healthy, etc.
There's not enough info on the internet about one's life is when one meets their twin. They just say if its meant to be its meant to be. And that you least expect it. IP: Logged |

Hello Uranus..
Well prior to meeting my twin...i already reached my breaking point!
and upon meeting i was in a state of complete ecstasy!

uranus...neither of us had debts paid off, but for me, debts have nothing to do with spiritual growth...I was happy being alone for the most part, although I felt deep inside there was someone out there just like me...and I prayed for him a a month or two before meeting him..I had my own place with my son, had a career(which I don't think either of those things matter either)...I had gotten to the point however, that I loved myself, and didn't need anyone else to make me happy... I have heard that you must go through your 'Saturn return' first...not sure about that anymore either...  Kat ------------------

Cool thanks guys! well that gives me more hope. I feel like I'm in the beginning of my saturn return I'm turning 27 in June. Things seem so gloomy sometimes. But I have to be hopeful. Lucky you, you prayed for him and met him in two months, I've been praying for years. I feel blocked from meeting anyone actually. I don't know what's going on. My sister's prayers found me a local friend and it wasn't my own prayer that was answered. Yet I pray for everyone and the world when I do the rosary :s

I'm not really sure how I feel about twins and all that although I certainly do believe in soul mates.
And from what I've read and experienced, it seems they meet at unopportune times.Times of personal struggle and crisis.
Often one or both are in other relationships.
Or after a significant breakup, death in the family, job loss, etc.. I can't remember why this is.. but if you read in the Soul Unions forum you will find lots of info about this.

Yeah Gypsee...that is what I have read at times as well...but my feeling is that in this place in time, they are coming together more so than ever....this is supposedly the most crucial time in the history of the planet, and there are more coming together than you may think...it's just my perspective, and my feelings...When I first heard the term 'twinflame' last year I was blown away...but it fit...and for those who believe in Starseeds realize that alot of them are the ones being reunited with their 'other halves'... It's no big deal, I probably would have been skeptical if I hadn't heard the term, or experiencing it just when I was really beginning to 'awaken'...At least you aren't saying 'no way' or 'there is no such thing'... And just so everyone knows, being with your 'other-half' can be awesome, as well as challenging at times...not all of them stay together either...some say that being with a 'soulmate' rather than a 'twin' is easier...it all depends on the people...just MPO Kat IP: Logged |

I'm surely not dismissing it, I quite like the idea, except there is so much writing about how hard it is.. there's alot of negativity in some of the reading I've done on it.And I do agree that probably more twins are meeting, Kat, it's just that, in my nearly two years here, I cannot tell you HOW MANY threads say: OMG, I'VE MET MY TWIN, HERE IS THE STORY/SYNASTRY.. ETC.. Then a month, two, five or whatever later, it's: "Okay, never mind, he/she was a jerk, NOW, I've met my twin!"  So, I guess you could call me cautiously optomistic.  IP: Logged |

Hi AllWhat do we mean by twin? I was told my ex boyfriend has been with me in many previous lives and there is a deep connecton. BUT I do not want him as my life partner in this life for various reasons. This does not dimiss the connection but simply that he helped me to grow as a person and figure out what I do want.... How do we let go though? I always figured that we will bump into souls from previous incarnations but sometimes you are not meant to be in this life. Sparkling IP: Logged |

Yeah, I think on this site there's a lot of conflation between someone we have fated/karmic/spiritual connections with, which might not at all translate into a real-life, one-on-one, long-term romantic relationship---and meeting someone who is a great in-this-lifetime love match. I personally don't believe souls can be split--i think on the soul level we're all equally connected, not just to other humans but to all forms of life. But I definitely believe in true love! I think some people find and connect with one great love in their life, and have a one-on-one, long-term relationship...others connect with multiple true loves, and have several great and life-changing relationships. Some people will have a very important, but short and short-lived moment of romantic connection. And then there are many kinds of non-romantic love we each enjoy--deep connections of many kinds with a variety of different people. In my case, I have had what felt like very deep romantic love a few times--two of those people are dear, close friends now. I haven't yet met someone it's felt right to merge my life with till we die in a one-on-one, romantic life partnership--I think that's mostly because I was with someone in a committed relationship from my teens through my early thirties. It was an important partnership but not right as a whole-life one. Now I am open to connecting with someone new (it's been three years since we split), but old issues from that relationship and the fact that we're still over-involved have hurt my new relationships so far. I think it's very likely I'll meet someone I'm mutually madly in love with again, maybe for a more life-long partnership. I think a lot of people misuse the "Twin" concept as validation for the fatedness of a romance that's not happening in real life. Not all, but I do see that on this site, and I don't like it because it takes the power of choice away from the other person. There's a lot of, "He told me he doesn't want to see me anymore and he thinks he loves someone else, but he's Just Scared and just Running and not ready for our Soul Connection..." and that isn't right. You can see it especially with the people who used to come on here and post pages and pages of their close synastry contacts with celebrities they didn't know in real life. I don't like these concepts being used to take away someone else's power of choice, even if it's just on the vibe level. I think my discomfort with it comes from having once been a teenage girl, and I would let a guy know I wasn't interested, and he'd be like, "You just THINK you're not interested, I know we're meant to be." It creeps me out that someone would use someone else's birth time to "prove" that they had a deep connection in a past life...unless the two people are in an actual, real, mutual love relationship, and then even though I don't believe things work that way, it's certainly harmless ands kind of sweet. Lucia- well said. I agree with you...there are those relationships which are important for the time you are in them, but the concept of soulmate and twin and upon meeting them you are supposed to live happily ever after is misguided.Sparkling

I would have to say that even if someone is misguided I feel compassion for them. No one is perfect in life and everyone will make mistakes even in areas of love, romance, what have you like everything else. IP: Logged |

I agree with what you said, Lucia.
And I've watched you give alot of advice in this forum during the time I've been here.
Sometimes I marvel at your patience, b/c in some situations, like the movie star ones, I wouldn't have had the patience.
NOT that I don't have movie star crushes myself, and I have looked up synastry with one or two, but just for fun...Compassion kicks in for me for the folks like this b/c they seem to live and breathe this very theory, that they ARE twins with said celebrity, and something may happen? I mean, it is possible, ANYthing is possible, but, probable is a different issue. I guess I don't see the point in thinking someone is your twin/SM/karmic this or that, until you are already IN a relationship with them, otherwise, it's just person A fantasizing about person B.
And I do have compassion for those who seek so desperately to make a connection in this world... It's just been my own personal experience that the most profound relationships seem to happen when we least expect them, and are not even really seeking them out. IP: Logged |
