Hello all

I have cancer descendent and attract cancer sun people (one of my best friends has cancer sun).

Met a new friend (a guy) who is taurus sun and cancer moon...he has gorgeous green eyes and is super handsome (have known of him for years but not well and always assumed he was arrogant and a player).

Seems not so...he is caring and sensitive. He has a dramatic side as involved in the arts where I work and sets up music events. He has aries mercury and venus, and mars in gemmini so enough fire/air to be interesting. Don't have accurate birth time though.

But cancer moon is very different to my saggie sun/leo moon but I do like cancer sign...linda did say that cancer (of all the water signs) is not bad for saggie energy.

Cancer moons are quite homely, but I find some alittle suffocating, have the tendency to be very clingy and seem to be moody and quite demanding at times. I'm not really a fan. I prefer Taurus moons.

Hey both

yes am not so familliar with cancer moons in general. My female cancer sun friend has pisces moon and I am more frustrated dealing with her pisces moon whereas seem to like her cancer sun.

Does having my desc in cancer make a difference? in how I deal with cancer moon energy?

Hey Randall,

Why do you like them? I have not much water in my chart, not so familliar with the energy but I have found myself attracted to cancer sun men in the past.Something about their feeling of "home".

I have cancer moon. It is difficult, at least for me, because the world is basically... not cancerian. But my chart has other elements that perhaps make the "challenging" qualities of cancer moon stronger.

My brother is a virgo with cancer moon and aries ascendant, both his sign and ascendant really show, but his cancer moon has made him supportive and caring, but always in practical way, specially towards my mother, who is aging. He values family and family celebrations, and believes we all should be there for each other in times of more or less need. He can be generous in helping us (poor him: 3 women in the family) but I know aries can be lke this too.

If find that relationships between cancer with fire signs, can be difficult, depending on the nature of the relationship.

I think taurus, as an earth sign can be a good counterbalance to cancer moon.

Hi Flowerpower and Randall....

Yes, nuturing is a good word to describe them with. The taurus sun/cancer moon guy, I saw him yesterday and he remembered I had been upset before Christmas holidays and asked if I was better now...he has a good memory and seemed to act as if he cared. But words are words, I like actions to verify.

Totally....having been hurt my by ex bf twice ...I have no desire to be deceived or manipulated again. So am all for actions, also Mr Taurus was cute in a shy way, I was acting all shy too...but he still stayed and talked to me for a bit, told me about his mum applying for a new job, discussed our marketing issues ( he was interested that I am doing a marketing qualification), we talked about art etc.

I had asked him to lunch to be friendly but not sure if he saw it as a date or not...

We shall see, supposed to have lunch later this week.

Cancer moons have a hard time letting go of the past...I think they are quite nostalgic and cling on the past ideas. Past loves are hard to get over.

I can imagine so! I have leo moon and saggie sun BUT my libra mars and venus tend to make it hard for me to move on too, I overthink everything...and because I do believe in love and commitment I found it hard to give up on a love (or the fantasy of the love, even if the reality was not good). So yeah, as much as I love libra, the emphasis in my chart can make it a challenge.

Well serendipity came into play today, I went to one of the cafes at lunch and on my way, I bumped into Mr Taurus, he was with a colleague but stopped to talk and said he remembered we were supposed to have lunch and we arranged tomorrow at 1:00

Yay, just that morning, I thought do I email him? thought no....just wait.

Happy I listened to my intution!

So, we had to postpone lunch as he had deadlines to meet but he had sent me an email...but I hadn't got it and so he rushed to the cafe to explain he couldn't make it, and he was all stressed and flustered and he rearranged for monday lunchtime.

So yeah, it was fine, things happen but he was polite. If someone is in to you, they WILL make an effort.

As I say, actions, actions...

I have a Cancer moon, and yes, there is alot of sensitivity, compassion and caring. Loyal. And once we fall, we fall HARD. Very intuitive. MEN in general do not like to be chased, but not sure I can say that for Cancer moons... we love to feel appreciated. I would say never to chase a man... if they really want you, you'll know it.

Well, we had lunch....

We both ate healthy lunches and complained food was not good quality though.

He was 20 minutes late! A meeting overan, then he had to get money out of bank and finally got there. I had been waiting patiently for 15 minutes but was getting a bit annoyed so started to order some food to take away...then he arrived all flustered and apologised. So we had lunch and by the end was nice, talking about travelling...arts, our jobs, etc. But he seemed a bit shy...or I seemed shy? Not quite sure which. He has beautiful green eyes and I noticed his hands so definitely it seems I am interested.

But I don't know....so hard to tell especially in a stressful situation, when it doesnt feel relaxed because things have gone wrong.

I don't know....time will tell I guess.

He obviously was REALLY worried he would miss you and was rushing rushing rushing for you. I think that is a good sign. Also, Cancer types would rather be home on the couch (or at least surrounded by the familiar) so if he left his house for you, that's saying something too. lol (my mother and sister are Cancer Suns and my brother and father are Cancer moons)

hi MM! Hope you are well.

I agree....but my own insecurity also felt like he is just being nice and thats all. He didnt mention meeting up again at the end, but I did email him with some information and my number so shall see. I shall think positive whatever the outcome! We both have hectic pressured jobs so both of us making time during our busy days meant something I think.

P.s MM, you have lots of experience with cancer energy! Thanks for your insight

Sad but true but do not think he is interested in me (My leo moon being slightly dramatic).

I found out through a mutual friend who is VERY good friends with him. He and is ex gf (who he loved deeply) are still friends and although she was a few years older than him, she has moved on with a guy and lives in Germany now BUT still has Mr Taurus in her life and from all accounts, he was still in love with her for a long time. The mutual friend had told her she needs to let him move on.

Poor cancer moon...must be so hard to move on. I struggle with my libra love placements but my leo moon tends to let me cry, wail then hold my head up high and try to move on.

The ex gf is coming this weekend...I just feel he is not over her perhaps.

I am going to his open mic night he organises at work...i was going with a friend anyway. I will be nice and perhaps he can be a friend although it seems he has many friends already!

Hi Flowerpower

This Taurus/Cancer moon seems quite stubborn, he has been single since he split with his ex.

Hi MM

The mutual friend who knows him well also said he is lovely to everyone and would have hated being late. It doesnt mean he likes me unfortunately, only that he is a gentleman and respectful

Well went to Mr Taurus open mic night he runs at the university we work at. It was amazing! Great musicians and such creativity, felt like I have found an interest to keep me going while I work here now. He was way more animated than usual (cool and calm). I went with my colleague who also knows him...it was a fun night apart from the fact that Mr Taurus did not really seem to want to look or talk to me. Was our lunch so boring?! I felt even more shy so chatted to new people with my people and I said bye to him and he kind of looked at me but chatted more to my colleague.

So yeah, he is definitely not interested so I shall take my leo moon pride and move on, but am happy to have found a new night to go out to that I enjoy!

Ouch!!

You seem to be taking it all in stride...Must be that confident Moon in Leo. But bravo to you for putting yourself out there in the first place.

I have a Cancer Moon and it sits in my 3rd house; I am able to express my emotions with words.

The thing about Cancer Moon though, generally speaking from my experience, is that they are not very direct with anything that they don't feel emotionally "in tune" to.

If the energy is too unfamiliar, they can come off cold, distant and aloof. This is because they don't feel "in control". It’s very important they be able to "feel" you out.

Relationships with Saturn Moons: Capricorn and Aquarius are very difficult because of the inability for Cancer to "know" what the other is like.

It is, however, unusual for the same treatment to be served on a Leo moon. Hmmm....

I fail to connect with Cancer Moon's as friends or lovers because I believe I am not yet mature enough to handle similar energy in a relationship or friendship setting.

It's not that we don't get on (far from it), it's just that there is always something deeper that is waiting to be explored, but I just never follow through.

But one thing that I have noted is that they don't like to be pursued; especially by signs out of their element (especially fire and air). This makes them nervous.

Also, as with every guy I know who has this placement, they prefer it if they make the first move (it is a cardinal sign after all) and that you play by their rules (no matter how inconsistent they may be).

If you like a Cancer Moon, you'll have to be patient and back off. Give him attention but don't make it exclusive.

I think you may have, unintentionally, given him the impression that you too "available", too "familiar" with him and he resorted to being childish and keeping you at an aloof distance (which can happen with this placement).
