Funny you mention Pink Floyd too...not too long ago I posted Wish You Were Here and some Fish stuff on LL here's the link: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/004708.html Here's the NYC version... "The Fish lives in two worlds, simultaneously experiencing both Heaven and Hell." ~Linda Goodman WISH YOU WERE HERE - PINK FLOYD - WISH YOU WERE HERE
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, Blue skys from pain. Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? And did they get you to trade Your heros for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange A walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a Fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here. HAVE A CIGAR - PINK FLOYD - WISH YOU WERE HERE Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar. You're gonna go far, fly high, You're never gonna die, you're gonna make it if you try; they're gonna love you. Well I've always had a deep respect, and I mean that most sincerely. The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think. OH BY THE WAY, WHICH ONE'S PINK? And did we tell you the name of the game, boy We call it Riding the Gravy Train. We're just knocked out. We heard about the sell out. You gotta get an album out, You owe it to the people. We're so happy we can hardly count. Everybody else is just green, have you seen the CHART? It's a helluva start, it could be made into a monster If we all pull together as a team. And did we tell you the name of the game, boy We call it Riding the Gravy Train. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfDE8-8wEmw Lol...did you see Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs...and nobody wanted to be Mr. Pink? Did you ever wonder why a rough and tumble biker like Saint Gregory Allman would wear a pink shirt on his I'm No Angel album? I always thought he must have lost a bet. (You know, I thought I overheard Saint Mick Jagger say pretty much the same thing and I quote, "You'll never make a saint of me." ) quote:
Anyway, astrologer Linda Goodman, author of the best-seller, "Sun Signs," claims the Beatles are/were the reincarnations of the disciples (John, Paul...Ringo?)and that it looks bad for Los Angeles."I'm convinced Paul McCartney and the Beatles are descendants of the Apostles and got where they are (were) to deliver a message." she said. Which brings us back home to the Beacon... “No band is as closely associated with one single venue as the Allman Brothers have been with The Beacon Theatre,” said Jay Marciano, president, Madison Square Garden Entertainment. “The Beacon is their home. For more than 40 years, The Allman Brothers Band has epitomized the best in rock n’roll. They are undoubtedly one of the greatest live performers of our day and have the most loyal and devoted fans around. When they take the stage at The Beacon, something electrifying happens that is experienced by both the band and their fans. We are thrilled for their return and look forward to eight extraordinary nights of music.” “We are thrilled to return to The Beacon,” said Gregg Allman. “It’s our New York home and truly where we belong. That's part of why I'm still single. I don't believe in "bait" in relationships.

I went to my first rock concert last night. Joe Satriani. All instrumental, no lyrics. I thought they were going to end the concert without playing my favorite song, but they walked back on stage, sort of like an encore, and played the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGNgcRwKW4Q

You are so freakin lucky!!! I love Joe! I lost count of how many times I've seen him. One time he was like two feet away from me when I saw him play in a little hole-in-the-wall bar. Another time, at the Orpheum in Minneapolis, I was totally stone cold sober, and the lights and the music were in perfect symbiosis, I swear it felt like everyone in the whole theater was Surfing with the Alien and Joe Satriani was our LSD. I have the album Surfing with the Alien and another one...I think it's called Dreaming #11. I think my favorite Satriani song will always be Always with Me, Always with You. I think it sounds like an 'orgasmic union'. You said your first rock show? What?! Your first show ever too? Are you a classical kind of guy? Jazz? What about going to the theater? (Personally, I prefer the theater over the movies.) Foreigner rocked! I was late to the show though (which wasn't my fault--I have been working hard at not being excruciatingly late). My favorite part was when the local school choir from Shakopee, MN sang along on "I Want to Know What Love Is". It was always one of my favorite nights at work when we had School of Rock kids play at the bar. (In Wisconsin parents can bring their kids to the bar.) IP: Logged |

Never dated anyone before, but avoiding these signs at all costs: Aquarius, Sagittarius and Libra(ESPECIALLY these two), Gemini (males), Leo (males), Aries, Cancer (unless they have a really nice aspected chart and are not too emotional). LOL that's like more than half the zodiac already. IP: Logged |

That's really sad that you feel that way Libras and a lot of those that were said are awesome people. You just have to meet the right ones. Some of them can really be POS just like the ones you didn't mention. IP: Logged |

I avoid Earth signs as lovers, but I like them as friends. I especially adore Virgo women as friends: I look up to them. I feel like a Capricorn would bore me and most Virgo males I meet are gay.Taurus men especially turn me off, even though I have two different Taurus male friends in my past relentlessly pursue me and ignore boundaries and line-cross and almost sexually assault me before I ended the friendships. For whatever reason, I have never been sexually attracted to a Taurus man. I probably should avoid Geminis and Scorpios but they're my favorites and I don't see that happening. Things always get WAY dramatic with those two. I usually adore Aries, but if I ever become single again I would avoid them because they're grouchy and irascible for a few hours every day, and I'm usually happy and cheerful all day and don't need rain on my parade.

I don't try to avoid anyone based on their signs, but I do have a deep love for Scorpio women. The "negative" traits people speak about don't bother me as I understand the roots of these qualities and can appreciate the depth of their complete selves, raging passion and all. I don't need control and am pretty flexible so Scorpio women don't seem to mind me either lol From my past experience, I haven't had much luck with Capricorns as lovers. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't be open to exploring possibilities with them as lovers in the future. There's so much more to a person than just one sign. I've been told that Scorpio and Taurus make a good combination ; and I've found them (taurus) to be loyal friends to me. Many of my colleagues are taurus men and we work together amazingly. Great team work and professional maturity. I seem to persistently attract, In rank: Scorpio Virgo Sagittarius Gemini Leo I've been in relationships with: Scorpio Sagittarius Aries Taurus I've "played" with: Scorpio Aries Sagittarius Gemini Leo I'm attracted to: Scorpio Aries lol I'm learning a lot about myself the more I read what I'm writing here. Having been quite pleasantly surprised by people with Sun signs that I would theoretically avoid, I'll have to say, there are none that I would categorically avoid. Except Cancer. Never, even again. No Cancer friends, bosses, even no more Cancer parents (One is MORE than enough!). Just no. If you haven't yet heard my plea: I'm currently on the look out for a red-headed Irish Taurus! If you have one, send him my way!

They crave attention which is fine but do really sneaky things to get that attention I feel. They were all horrible liars and even when they were caught would still blantantly lie in my face. So for me it would Virgos.
I exeperienced the same thing with my virgo

Haha that would be fun, just to see which placements got paired up with what. Like most people, I wouldn't go out of my way to avoid them but earth suns dont appeal to me. Earth placements besides sun, im sure are much more appealing. I have next to no fire in my chart. So fire people tend to puzzle me. For some reason I come into a lot of contact with Gemini's, Cancers, and Scorpios. Gem rules my 8H, Cancer is my vertex, and scorp is my moon, pluto, asc. I probably would avoid gemini's and Cancer's from now on as well! They're both pretty unstable just in different ways. Well, the ones I've come in contact with. I guess that leaves libra, scorpio, aquas, and pisces. But thats only if I ever have to swim back into the market

It's funny I used to list Virgos as my number 1 that I'd never date or was attracted to..and then I find myself sort of kind of talking to one. Then I swore off ALL Scorpios after finally breaking up with my ex after almost 7 yrs..and then I'm sort of kind of in a relationship with one. But if I were to have a concrete "list" it for sure have the following: Aries--if only for a hot fling, nothing long term Geminis--Here today gone..forever Leos--my Leo rising would probably cause problems in fighting for who should be the "center" Pisces--to watery for me That's all I can think of right now.

The last three men who have been interested in me have been earth signs, 1st was a Taurus who literally would not take no for an answer.2nd a Capricorn sweet but living with his girlfriend!!! 3rd the man is a Virgo who I am currently involved with. An enigma but I am crazy about him. Never dated an Aries, I have never attracted one. Taurus I had a brief fling with, needed a lot of reassurance. Gemini we just did not click. Leo selfish and wanted everything his own way Virgo...watch this space Libra never dated Scorpio lived with, a liar and a cheat. Manipulative to the extreme and his lies were so bad if he said it was raining outside I would go and check. Left me once he had totally screwed with my mind! Sagittarius told me he loved me on a first date! Passionate and very full on but no substance. Capricorn only dated briefly, very career orientated. Aquarius went out with for six years. A loving, friendly relationship but it stalled when it came to taking the relationship into the realms of marriage/family. We are still best friends. Pisces never dated my own sun sign but my Dad and both grandfathers are Pisces and they are absolutely lovely IP: Logged |

Sag : although a Sag myself, I wouldn't date one. They make cool friends.Cancer: too moody/clingy. Would drive me insane Gem: too many bad exeperiences with them. Leo: good friends but not relationship material. They can be too over the top for me. These dudes would be the main ones I'd avoid when it comes to romantic relationships. There's no sign I avoid in general. ------------------ "DON'T EVER try and destroy someone's life with a LIE.....when yours can be destroyed with the TRUTH...." SY Jacobs IP: Logged | |
