So, I've been a big Bob Marley fan ever since high school. But, I wanted to share his song Waiting in Vain as well as some lyrics. They are rather appropriate given the dynamic of Twin Flames.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WQVb_nuKvs

"From the very first time I rest my eyes on you, girl
My heart said follow through but I know now
That I'm way down on your line
But the waiting feeling's fine..."

"It's been three years since I'm knocking on your door
And still I can knock some more..."

"Like I said, the tears in my eyes burn
Tears in my eyes burn
While I'm waiting
While I'm waiting for my turn..."

----------------

Quotes:

Consider that Twin Flames are similar to the concept of the Force in Star Wars. Where Jedi can sense a disturbance. All the reading I've done on Twin Flames suggests that when they come in contact with each other they sense each other, much like the Force. I've experienced this first hand and it's incredible.

So, the most recent Star Wars trailer has two major quotes in it that explains parts of the Twin Flame dynamic:

“Something inside me has always been there. But now it’s awake.” ~ Rey

If you have really experienced the Twin Flame connection then you understand the awakening that Rey is talking about. She is referencing the Force, but the Twin Flame awakening is similar.

“Let the past die. Kill it if you have to. That’s the only way to become what you are meant to be.” ~ Kylo Ren

Kylo Ren's quote is a bit dark, but it is still appropriate. When you really meet your Twin Flame one or both of you will feel as though you are losing yourself. For me, I was the validator of the energy and emotion between us. I spilled my guts which is not my normal (I have Moon trine Saturn). I even told her that she broke me, or I let myself be broken.

My reaction afterward was weird - I suggested she would blackmail me, I was worried other people we both knew would find out, and I apologized profusely.

This reaction was my ego dying. I would argue I still have some ego, but I don't protect my heart and emotions like I once did. I don't get angry over little things, I have no desire to fight, when I drive around I throw peace signs at everyone, and I'm super extra huggy.

This is why Kylo Ren's quote is so important - the Twin Flame experience is about losing the ego that has always protected you so that you can become who you are meant to be.

If you really have the Twin Flame experience your ego will crack. You will feel broken and definitely not yourself, because you will be losing what you've always had to protect you - your ego.

Anyone have any other Twin Flame songs or quotes?

Ooga-chaka!

I think Blue Suede's Hooked on a Feeling could also be considered a Twin Flame song.

I would also like to add that when your ego cracks and you "don't feel like yourself" really what is happening is the ego's last death throes. Because of this, you won't feel like you but when you realize what happened you will be a better you. More importantly the real you.

Another great Twin Flame song, actually came on the radio today and I had to turn it off... can't drive well with tears in my eyes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9CD4_3wChM

"Love I get so lost, sometimes
Days pass and this emptiness fills my heart
When I want to run away
I drive off in my car
But whichever way I go
I come back to the place you are
All my instincts, they return
And the grand facade, so soon will burn
Without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside
In your eyes
The light the heat
In your eyes
I am complete
In your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
In your eyes
The resolution of all the fruitless searches"

...definitely without my pride, reaching out from the inside.

It also touches on the runner aspect of Twin Flames - "When I want to run away
I drive off in my car
But whichever way I go
I come back to the place you are"

Another Twin Flame song, I completely forgot about before it came on the radio...

Mad About You, Belinda Carlisle

I'm mad about you
You're mad about me babe
Couple of fools run wild aren't we
Pushing the day into the nighttime
Somewhere between the two
We start to see

Mad about you (Mad about you)
Lost in your eyes (Reason aside)
Mad about love (Mad about you)
You and I

Something 'bout you
Right here beside me
Touches the touched part of me like I can't believe

Pushing the night into the daytime
Watching the sky's first light
While the city sleeps

Good stuff.

Is the radio picking up my Twin Flame signal? I usually listen to CDs (yes still have them) or Bluetooth phone. Tonight after dinner with a friend had the radio on and this was on.

Flock of Seagulls has sorta turned into a joke, perhaps because of the Pulp Fiction reference. But, their hit song "I Ran" is totally the runner aspect of the Twin Flame.

I Ran, Flock of Seagulls

I walk along the avenue
I never thought I'd meet a girl like you
Meet a girl like you

With auburn hair and tawny eyes
The kind of eyes that hypnotize me through
You hypnotize me through

And I ran
I ran so far away
I just ran
I ran all night and day
I couldn't get away

A cloud appears above your head
A beam of light comes shining down on you
Shining down on you

The cloud is moving nearer still
Aurora Borealis comes in view
Aurora comes in view

And I ran
I ran so far away
I just ran
I ran all night and day
I couldn't get away

Reached out a hand to touch your face
You're slowly disappearing from my view
Disappearing from my view

Reached out a hand to try again
I'm floating in a beam of light with you
A beam of light with you

And I ran
I ran so far away
I just ran
I ran all night and day

And I ran
I ran so far away
I just ran
I ran all night and day

Now, this means more to me than those of you reading it. Here's why...
1. I have tawny eyes
2. I'm the girl (but a guy) in the Twin Flame dynamic
3. She (my Twin Flame) is the runner and boy energy

That Belinda song came into my consciousness too (after not really paying attention to it fo thirty years) two summers ago when things were super challenging with my love. It is interesting that you brought it up. I had never fully listened to the Flock song (though I have heard it a thousand times) so I appreciate you sharing those lyrics. I love lyrics.

Came across this song...
Thought it would fit nicely here

(music) Thank You, Stars (Katie Melua) [3:39] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5jGUDIaqAE

lyrics
Some call it faith, some call it love.
Some call it guidance from above.
You are the reason we found ours,
So thank you stars.

Some people think it's far away,
Some know it's with them everyday.
You are the reason we found ours,
So thank you stars.

There are no winds that can blow it away on the air,
When they try to blow it away 's when you know it will always be there.

To some it's the strength to be apart,
To some it's a feeling in the heart.
And when you're out there on your own, it's the way back home.

There are no winds that can blow it away on the air,
When they try to blow it away is when you know it will always be there.

Some call it faith, some call it love.
Some call it guidance from above.
You are the reason we found ours,
So thank you stars.

Thank you stars,
Thank you stars,
Thank you stars.

(music) The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (Roberta Flack, 1969) [5:21] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Id_UYLPSn6U

lyrics
The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the end of the skies

The first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move in my hand
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command my love

The first time ever I lay with you
And felt your heart so close to mine
And I knew our joy it would fill the earth
And last 'til the end of time my love

The first time ever I saw your face
Your face, your face, your face

oops! Didn't realize that Twin Flames experience a coarse and harsher (inharmonious) relationship?..

I'll try to remember songs that fit that dynamic.

Adding this for Humor!

(music) {Not} Getting Married!! (Sondheim, from "Company"; A Celebration at Carnegie Hall Ensemble, Mark Jacoby, Madeline Kahn, Jeanne Lehmann, 1992) [4:17] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrRDrz53Q1E
