I think this means an easy flow of energy between the three planets, emotion, intuition, sympathy etc will all come easily to him, but because the flow of energy is easy i think he needs to watch out for laziness or complatency in this area of life. Mostly though, i think this is a wonderful blend of raw and emotional energies which will make him very very intune with human nature and he will have a deeper than usual understanding of human flaws, motives and behaviours.
He will probably have a deep creative potential, he is probably emotionally VERY intense, maybe too much for even himself to handle; maybe he tries to deny/ stifle this side of himself which results in his creative capabilities being thwarted.
I have read that having planets squaring or opposing the grand trine help to motivate the eneries of the trine so this would be helpful to make use of the trine energy to the fullest. Transits to the trine are also meant to be beneficial for motivating and using its energy also.
