(God it feels like yesterday) Things haven't been easy for me and I really want to believe in the good things I've been told but I'm scared that if I do and then it doesn't happen.... So I guess my question is, what changes should I expect?

Hi Littlecloud:

I want to read for you today, and before I do, I'll basically do a reading that shows the energy in each area of your life: family, romantic love, career, and inspiration, plus an overall theme.

This reading will cover two 6-month cycles, so you have a sense what to expect for a year. These types of readings are very in-depth and can be useful to show us wherein our lives we have personal growth to make and get a jump start. Since you are both anticipating positive changes; but remain anxious about letting yourself be open to them due to past disappointments - this strikes me as the most suitable reading for you.

I'll have some time on my computer today - and do let me know after you've read it how it resonates.

Warmly,
Wild Places

Littlecloud:

Here are the cards for the next 6 months, June-November 2012:

Family:
The Star:

Throughout this time, you will be a source of guidance and hope - a kind of anchor to your family - the way that sailors navigate the sea by the constellations. This card doesn't indicate anything negative happening within your family - rather that whatever troubles your relatives may be experiencing - they will find comfort, support, and guidance in your gentle listening and encouragement. There is something you have learned about yourself (something which wasn't an easy lesson) which will finally make sense in its relevance of how the wisdom and strength you gained from the experience are to be shared with others to benefit. This time will not weigh you down - although your loved-ones may be experiencing minor setbacks which will recall your past - you will be freed of the past by this process.

Romantic Love:
Ace of Cups:

Focused intent, new beginning in this area. Keep your heart open, love is on its way - and may indeed look like someone entirely different than you imagined.

Career:
4 of Wands:

A heady, somewhat championed feeling here at work these days - like all of your creative ideas or solutions to problems are just working with the flow very eloquently. This is a good time - be wise to learn from it and not rest on the laurels. When I use the word "heady" I'm trying to express that feeling I get (which I hope you can relate to for the purpose of this reading) when I've had a bit too much red wine It's always a great, confident feeling; and most often, I don't do anything regretful - occasionally though, I might blurt something out or get a bit clumsy ...Apply that to the workplace - just a tad bit less of the headiness, "drink more water" comes to mind.

Inspiration:
Page of Disks:

This 6 month cycle is infused with the inspiration of someone or something innocent, a student or learning, pure, yet with great energy to initiate change to your physical environment. If you have children - this cycle they will be more inspiring to you then ever. If not, you are inspired by your own inner child and to nurture her.

Overall Theme:
Strength:

This cycle will bring you through some challenges (mostly ego-based at work, and perception-based in how you relate to your family) - but will overall remind you of your fortitude, grace, and spiritual wisdom.

littlecloud continued...

December 2012 - May 2013:
Family:
6 of Swords:

Two swords now connect your Family and Romantic Love life during this cycle - so these two aspects of your life, which only 6 months ago may have seem detached - now are quite unified. You are unified in your approach to them: The 6 here show's the Archangel Raphael (The Healer of God). Keywords: Divine protection, guidance, and healing. Building bridges, connections. Carefully plan and coordinate multiple challenges. My sense is that you have a family unit already - and will be bringing someone in - perhaps adding step-family?

Romantic Love:
4 of Swords:

Keywords: Thoughts take root, words have wings. Sex, impregnation, consummation of a union. Plant a seed. Growth in solitude. Safe retreat. Body of knowledge collides with physical preparation/need. The new love which came to you during the 6-month cycle preceding that is now in a period of culmination on the realm of thoughts becoming things. You two will have been dreaming big dreams together - and this is the time you two are ready to start making these dreams manifest.

Career:
9 of Cups:

This card speaks to contentment and awe. You must find your work so fulfilling! Perhaps it isn't the work that is inspiring to you - but you will find yourself feeling a greater connection to the people with whom you work during this time - which makes any job worthwhile.

Inspiration:
Death:

The 6-month cycle preceding this was about a youthful, pure energy - be it your own child or honoring and nurturing your inner child. This cycle is about transformation and rebirth. Honoring the parts of you and your life that have passed and creating space/welcoming energy for what will be next.

Overall Theme:
Knight of Disks:

A time of trusting yourself - a time of balance between inside and out. A time of contemplation on the cycles of life, the ego, the spirit. A time for realization that your life contains all you need for happiness. Look no further than yourself.

Please keep me posted - and let me know how this reading resonates.

Warmly,
Wild Places

I definitely feel like the Star in regards to my family. I feel like I see and connect things that they don't. I had lived close to some extended relatives for some time which forced my immediate and extended family to reconnect.

What I felt with some of the stuff you said, the images of the cards and some of my own information (intuition, dreams, tarot readings), I strongly feel like I will get pregnant and this will force my family to be close and perhaps that is another layer to the Ace of Cups; the love one has for their child. That would definitely be something entirely different than I imagined. Oddly enough for the past couple of weeks or so I kept thinking that I needed to be healthier to provide a good home for my baby. Very odd thought/feeling since I have no one to make a baby with!

Work/career, right now for me it's very 6H and 10H. Meaning that where I work is not my career. I'm a student studying to get into the field of my career. It is something I am very passionate about and a lot of time I can get a'head' of myself so I guess that why I need to drink more water. Firstly it's healthier, and secondly I need to grow strong roots in order to grow into that big, beautiful and powerful tree in the image. Very awe-inspiring, which is what I would love to do for others in my field.

I'm expecting something to happen around Decemberish in regards to family (my intuition/a reading I did for myself) where I will have to guide them somehow.

I cannot tell you how much the cycle of death, rebirth and transformation are a part of my life. Pluto in my natal and transits really influence my chart/life. I constantly feel like I'm dying and being reborn with very little rest period in between.

Going back to the Star. What you wrote and the image....it just really hit home to me. It's what I feel I've become, a guide. I have a certain detachment due to my understanding of things yet the past and current circumstances still hold me to a certain extent. All I can really say is Wow and nod my head lol. It just clicks. The card I mean. Sorry if this sounds all mumbo jumbo and jumbled...my head usually goes in circles and I'm writing as I'm thinking.

Most of these cards seem to reflect my dreams as well. A tsunami and an approaching storm involving the love of my life. Earthquake and fire involving family. Water and emotions, earthquakes/fire- literally uprooting the foundations and allowing for new ones (fire).

The death card made me think of the death of one family member dying and the birth of a new one.

This entire reading is very interesting. The connections everywhere.... Will you keep this thread open so that I may come back and let you know how things have unfolded?

Dear Littlecloud,

I am keeping the thread open, in that I am not taking it down at all - I'd like for all of us who have interacted on this thread to be able to reflect on these readings again. I "closed" it meaning I was not offering further readings for this thread, since some were asking - and I am shifting my focus to some spiritual healing work I do.

I am glad this reading hits home for you - and even though I believe in the Law of Attraction - I'm always taken aback when I read for someone where the cards are such a marty to my own energy I begin to doubt myself just a bit I too, connect deeply to The Star, particularly in this deck; but it is my astrological card, and Strength is my numerological card. While I was reading for you, your energy - so many similarities in life for us.

Do keep me posted - and feel free to contact me via email through my website if that's easier than finding this thread 6 months from now I definitely want to know how you are doing!

Warmly,
Wild Places

PS - stay positive - a lot of cards in the 2nd phase indicate a need to remain connected to the Universe and trusting in your own Higher Self to manifest what you want/need here. Big hug.

What similarities, if you don't mind me asking?

And yes in regards to the 2nd phase, I felt that too. It also seems to be a similar theme in my life as well as transformation. If I do get pregnant and someone does die, then it won't be an easy time and it would be a time where connecting to a higher power is needed and wanted.

How do I figure out my astrological card and numerological card?

Similarities in the energy that we are manifesting/experiencing is what I sense. Like, with the family: for me, I could read The Star card for myself right now as my father and younger sister are struggling in their relationship - and I am able to help them both understand themselves and eachother by sharing my experience of relating to my father with my sister - and just listening to my father (he gets criticized a lot, rightly so, but he needs more than anything now to be heard).

Romantically, I am actually a 180 for the first time in about 10-12 years - really feeling optimistic about intimacy - true intimacy and monogamy - and creating space in my heart and life for it to show up. I'm getting ready - so the Ace of Cups resonates too...

Career wise, I'm just wide open to anything - and yet, while rooted with my responsibilities, ready to pursue my passions (like intuitive healing/readings)...that image/card felt right.

Inspiration: I totally want to build a home, plant a garden, and start a family with the man who cherishes me and who I cherish.

Overall - Strength: That's my card - from the Rider-Waite (number 8) - though it's 11 in this deck, it still has the same meaning.

You can determine your number card by a simple calculation of your birthdate for numerology. What's your Sun Sign? I can tell you which card(s) rep you Astrologically.

Warmly,
Wild Places

Pretty interesting about that Law of Attraction and the similarities, huh?

Hi,

an you tell me how to do: You must go back to the Wheel of Fortune, the lessons there of how we are all connected, all the same - in order to right yourself.

I am trying very hard to get on the right path!!

Originally posted by Wild Places:
Dear Cherful24,

I feel a bitter kind of irony in your moniker, which, since you put your birthdate out there as well - is compelling me to feel that your Chiron placement has something to do with this. You are Virgo - you lovely, nurturing soul - and your best intentions in all areas of life to help others seem to undo you in ways you never expect. I will be checking some progressions from my Ephemeris as well - since you put your birthdate out there - I realize that's no mistake.

Focusing on your energy - and the nature of this question as to when you will find a job with stability in which you earn a good living - I pull The Strength card, Rx, which is, in this deck - XI.

This card (in it's course of natural progression and rightside up) is about a mastery of the material world, and the first part of mastering the self/ego and aligning that with one's destiny. To see this reversed here I first feel you are far from your true path. You must go back to the Wheel of Fortune, the lessons there of how we are all connected, all the same - in order to right yourself.

Keywords associated with this card:
Lack of strength, courage, or fortitude.

From here - I asked "What is the first step to building fortitude"
9 of Wands:
This card is all about owning who you are - every single cell of you. Every success, every failure. It's about owning it and loving it - and RUNNING with it. Like a wildfire. The 9 of Wands in the Rider-Waite deck never really made much sense to me...you know, that guy, all battered and bruised on a ledge - with a lot of sticks coming at him - yet holding his own. This image is fierce. And lucky us - I found a copy online:

To regain your fortitude, your strength - to essentially and ultimately find stability and contentedness in what you do at work - you must accept and LOVE your yin and yang.

Keywords:
Harnessing the power of your genius, your strengths, and your shortcomings. Be bold and brilliant. Do not be tamed!

Lastly, I feel (as I did peek at the Ephemeris) that around the age of 20 you lost touch with what you really wanted to do. Your Mercury progressed into your Natal Moon sign, and your Natal Moon progressed into your Natal Mercury. A total flip-flop: Libra Moon becomes Leo Moon in the same time that Leo Mercury becomes Libra Mercury. And, generationally speaking - Pluto hasn't been doing you any favors (I know, cause I'm a 79er) what with Saturn all up in it's business for 2 years. Ugh.

So, let's pull a card to get you on track with your heart's calling for work - what it is that makes you tick mentally and emotionally - and pays the bills!

3 of Disks:
Do you like to nurture people and cook for them? Or is it just that you are an amazing artist? This card is all about creating with your own hands. And the image (ha! I found this one too - is truly nurturing). Cooking healthy, soulful food kept coming to mind while I was shuffling....

And as a timeplace holder - disks are a represented by Springtime. Additionally - while I was looking at the Ephemeris - Your Progressed Sun is in Libra along with Mercury - which in the course of the next year or less, will be trining your Progressed Moon in Aquarius. I think best to act on getting good with yourself sooner than later - because you've got helpful sextiles to the Sun/Merc of the progressed Venus/Mars - both good for getting what you want how you want it.

I really hope this reading resonates for you - I feel confident in these cards. All three are so passionate, red, and loving. You've got a lot of fire in you!

Hi Cherful:

This is a very valid and insightful question. Your asking it to me is an indication of your determination.

I'm going to try my best to explain the general, esoteric meaning of the Wheel of Fortune card, so that you can use what associations your own intuition make of it as a launchpad for healing.

Here are Keywords for The Wheel of Fortune:
Change, chaos, unpredictability, change of fortunes, good luck.

A practical exercise here for you is to look at the card, focus on the image and the keywords, and jot down thoughts, phrases, keywords of your own now. Visual language is the language of the subconscious - so you don't have to be a Tarot expert to make your own interpretation.

Take a look at your list, and google a few of those keywords, phrases, whatever that compel you the most. Pick the top three. One of those will lead you to some healing - I promise. Healing and change doesn't happen by accident - and I sense how much you want it. This exercise seems totally out of how you would normally do things - so try it - because you need to go with something new and see if that works.

Let me know how this goes for you - and feel free to contact me via my email on my site if you prefer.

I don't really read them together...more like they are two components of you that make up the whole, right? Like, numerology and astrology are both valid for assessing personalities, life cycles, etcetera - but they are different. You embody the nature of both Strength and the Empress. That is my assessment of it.

The Empress I do not see as simply the ultimate mother. In fact, I see the Queen of Pentacles that way. The Empress is to me, while definitely prosperous, generous, fertile, and has abundance, somewhat isolated from others in how much she is capable of providing. Think of an actual monarch and how isolated they would have felt - despite being literally worshipped (in some cultures) by their Kingdom. It can be lonely to be such a provider/nurturer...

Good thing you have the balance of Strength (not to say The Empress isn't strong, or wonderful - she is one of my favorite cards)...

That's funny, I actually see the Queen of Pentacles as a bit materialistic.

But I can see what you mean with the Empress and that really does relate to me although, I'm not worshiped lol
I like strength, perseverance, inner wisdom and all that

Hi Littlecloud!

I really like exchanging thoughts on Tarot - so I'm responding to your take on the Queen of Pentacles/Disks.

I agree, she does have to do with the material world, as that is what disks have to do with as a Suit. But she is like the ultimate mother who creates a home for her children that is lovely (even though perhaps not fancy) because it nurtures them, nourishes them, and keeps a space for them to always return to. The Queen of Cups is ALSO the ultimate mother because she holds an emotional/intuitive space. Both are the receptive suits or feminine suits of Tarot - and do represent types of motherly qualities. Queen of Pentacles feels a bit more capable of giving tough love if needed - Queen of Cups feels a bit more capable of gently knowing what her children need without having to ask.

I'd love to hear your thoughts

The easiest way to explain is that I look at Queen of Pentacles as the showy mother, kinda like Libra. Or event the woman that became a mother just because she married a rich man and wanted money. You take a more Taurus view on her which is nicer, but I attach a darker view to materialism because for me it spells frivolousness. Spending on and caring about things that are not needed.

Queen of Cups is the one that is emotionally supportive. Although at times I can see her as a bit cold, with holding emotion. It largely depends on what I feel with the cards around as well, or just what my gut tells me at the moment.

I can also look at the Empress as mother earth, nature, the ultimate giver that never asks for anything in return because her joy lies in what she offers.

Thanks for your input Littlecloud. Yes, we all certainly have our own backgrounds that influence how we feel the cards - as well as the uniqueness of our wonderful selves as readers.

Your take on The Empress is beautiful. It's how I first related to the card, perhaps I have let my own personal experience taint it a bit

Thank you for sharing with me.

No problem. I'm glad I was able to offer you something. I'm still fairly new at tarot, hasn't even been an entire year that I started reading. I find that the image often changes the meaning of the card for me, perhaps not entirely but gives it a difference. Often times our experiences with age change how we see things too, which may be what happened to you. But for me it's the images as well..

So small update.
I'm startin to see/take the role of the Star in regards to family. Just yesterday I got into a bit of an argument trying to get one member to see the bigger picture and to stop pointing fingers at a specific person. It's very subtle though..
(edit)

this morning out of curiosity I asked how he felt about me after we spoke for so long and got
the World
Lovers
4 of cups
I had to laugh at the irony a little bit because what I immediately thought/felt was "The universe is handing him "Lovers" and he's too busy lamenting over his losses to see what he could gain" (the 4 of cups in my deck shows a guy bent over looking at one cup that has turned over, it's content spilled, while 3 cups are being filled by a waterfall)

Then I asked what should I know/do so that I can build a healthy romantic relationship with him and got
2 of swords
Knight of Wands
Star
Any thoughts?

Hi Littlecloud!

Thank you for letting me know how you are doing!

Yes - you will be strong through all of this - the good and bad

Your take on the reading you did about his feelings seems to have jumped out at you with immediate clarity and insight! Brava!

Regarding why you're not having such clarity regarding your own reading, all three cards are interesting to me! Here's my distilled, nutshell take on the cards:

2 of Swords: you are exerting mental energy over a decision or situation, and not trusting the intuition embodied by The High Priestess. In a way, all Minor
Arcana cards reflect the energy of the Major Arcana card of the same number - twos are about intuition, insight, clarity.

Knight of Wands: since I know you're a Leo, I'm going against conventional wisdom that pertains to this card being about him. Your question was what do YOU need to know in order to have a healthy relationship with him? This card tells me in some manner there is joy in you and a former impulsiveness that is hidden under all the 'what ifs' trying to protect yourself. This card speaks of someone with youthful, vital energy, prone to impulsiveness - and all despite fear. So for you - try to quiet the mind chatter by remembering that you are in the present, not the past or the future. There is only this moment - make it what you want! "it takes only 20 seconds of insane courage to make something amazing happen!"

The Star:
This as we know, is an aspect of you. It is your card! Remember to love yourself first and love will always come to you in the most amazing form. Connect with your Highest Self and do whatever it takes to nurture that bond (meditate, journal, see a life coach, etc.). Romantic relationships are the most amazing relationships - they give us butterflies and an opportunity for partnership and a sense of union of life alignment with a lover like no other relationship can. Families are made from them, businesses, lifetimes of Experiences and memories. That said, they are scary!! One can feel incredibly exposed and vulnerable at times when truly creating that union one so craves. And yet, that vulnerability is required, without fear of the outcome. It is necessary to realize that each moment is a gift, love is the biggest gift, so we can give it freely without fear or expectation of reciprocity. That is true love. And it is (in my experience) only achievable once we love ourselves. I still get scared. I still get the what if mind chatter. But I've learned to let my love voice speak louder and with integrity and authority. It wins out everytime.

Love,
Wild Places

PS - you are so much more than "at least consistent". You love him and are a strong, intelligent, optimistic, creative, playful, nurturing woman who loves herself too! Isn't he the lucky one!!

Sometimes, it isn't in our Highest Interest to have the direct conduit to our Intuition - this might explain your inability to access dreams that offer premonition. Or, the anxiety could be sucking your energy from that dream state.

Glad to hear you're living on the wild side a little bit and trusting that the Universe has a plan for you - all will work out as it's meant to. Worrying doesn't make the outcome different - except in the way you don't want it to.

Enjoy!!
