I agree.

Such fundamentalism is indeed unnecessary. I've purchased numerous books myself on horary astrology. I believe William Lilly's books claim that the house systems to be used in Horary should be regiomantanus. While other authors do have different approaches that yield great insights. One needs to appreciate the difference between what works best for them and what are the basic fundamentals.

On that happy note, I wish people would be more respectful towards each other.

Tofu, you seem to have a good handle on horary astrology which I greatly appreciate, rest assured, would you mind if I pick your brain?

Wow, Tofu. You really didn't comprehend anything that I wrote, did you. You probably didn't read it all. I didn't impose anything on anyone. I shared what I know, just as you did. Only, I didn't use phrases like: "Not true..." and "Get a life..." because you said something that was DIFFERENT from what I said.

That's where I took offense. I take offense at your communication style, not your knowledge of astrology. If you can't grasp how language communicates, how a simple word is a collection of symbols that convey information, how can you possibly truly understand the symbols of astrology? Perhaps you may want to try a little FUNDAMENTALISM with your astrology. (Fundamentalism-give me a break!)

When you say, "Not true...", it's not a personal attack because you don't know me personally and I don't know you, but what you did is dismiss centuries worth of solid information that works.

You didn't notice that I didn't dismiss your knowledge, I actually told you that it's just fine and I know astrologers who use outer planets and different house systems. So I'll just leave it at this. Your communication style was very off putting and dismissive and for a forum and website that strives to integrate everyone's knowledge as valuable, your choice of words were designed to devalue my opinion. I called you an idiot to show you how that feels because, in essence, that's what you did to me.

Feel free to continue to discuss your horary information, knowledge, etc. I just hope no one comes along and says to you, "You're wrong, it's not true horary if you're using the outer planets and other house systems. It's astrology lite, wish fulfillment astrology. This generation of astrologers just want the lazy way out, they don't want to take the time to push a few buttons to make a tight chart that's so tightly strung the truth of the answer will not your socks off like a nuclear bomb!"

Yes, I hope no one comes along and just dismisses your knowledge.

I won't apologize and I don't expect one from you. As for adults, we're worse than kids. IT'S TRUE!!!
