You are representing your family by standing tall and if they do not accept your offer, you are still representing them by holding your head up and walking away. My father loved to dicker in pricing. He would walk into a grocery store or national chain and ask the clerk... if I bought two cases could you bring the price down? One thing he always said was if they turn you down, just walk away head held high... nothing started ... nothing gained... and he passed with that thought. Apparently, it got him pretty far in life. 243 people turned up for his funeral. In the tiny town I grew up.. that was a lot. (he was a virgo). I know it is important to have a job... I do... but it is important to have self-respect of the people you love most. You need to tell them the problem and they will stand behind you.

So this tells me that insight into you helping him I feel (intuitvely) is up to him. The wands here speak to me about self-confidence, his ability to move forward with what he has learned and built upon from past situations (in my deck, a man is standing on a dragon, looking back over land as the sun sets) So whatever happened to effect him, he has to have the mental energy to accomplish and direct his energy towards. The 10 of swords came up the last time as well--only in the first position, so this tells me that this is something--as you said--he has to do on his own. The clarification card shows that he needs to become the knight of swords and move forward with bravery to attack whatever issues he has.
