Astro:

So I pulled a lot of cards that speak directly to transformation, anguish, victory, success, and triumph. I'm sure that in here is also your current state of mind, and if anything, you'll end up getting the grades that you want despite how hard this struggle has been. But I think these cards point nicely to the topic you're discussing.

6 WANDS - DEATH - CHARIOT - 9 SWORDS (clarifier)

What stands out to me here is that, because your thesis is on social movements for justice, the juxtaposition of the cruelties and injustices that have had to happen (death) is flanked by this sort of upward mobility of the six of wands (past) and the strong will of the chariot (future). I almost feel like what you need to communicate is that as certain groups or movements started to really gain traction, because they were "radical" or different from from the existing social norms, society/people/whoever got scared by this and started to take measures, whether legal, illegal or questionable, we eventually came to a point laws had to be made around these practices to stop the atrocities that were happening. The death card (present) is actually a skeleton, symbolizing what remains after death, and in the sense of what you're researching, I think you might need to focus on how trying to keep down certain groups/individuals prior to now has led to the sort of devastation and "remains" that exist now--things that are not literally plump or alive with meaning because they'e been exterminated/extinguished because they made us scared. BUT because there IS something that does remain from the past (the skeletons, the reminders), it forces us to confront the fact that there are some things that are not eradicable, things that cannot be destroyed (memories, overall social climates of eras past/present) and is asking us to rise up above the pain and re-invent what is left from the destruction on a larger scale. The chariot (future) literally has visuals on it depicting the spiritual transformation of man. It represents overcoming opposition, conquest, and victory. I actually really love this description of it from Biddy and think you should read through it (https://www.biddytarot.com/tarot-card-meanings/major-arcana/chariot/). The conclusion you need to come to is basically what this card signifies--that you must fight to attain the goals you're laying out in your paper, that you cannot give up, it will take hard work, and it will take society as a whole to accomplish it, but that it will be well worth it and should be something EVERYONE is interested in for the betterment of civilization.

The clarifier being the nine of swords reminds you to pull the theme of anguish throughout the paper, the shadows of society that have been allowed to run rampant because of fear or anxiety or worry, simply things that are unknown and scare us which is why we have come to the point we are now at. We're battling ourselves (literal civil unrest, versus a personal battle if this is about a bigger scale subject matter), and we need to reach out (I guess reaching out to the government/local groups/organizations/etc who can have a literal impact on the way society operates for help) and find joy/peace.

Does that make sense?

Much of what you said resonates. Very good to hear I'll be successful. The meaning of chariot as a 'sign of strength of will' can apply to me, i.e., how I need to broach the task or to the strength needed by society. There is a great deal of anguish being caused all around the globe by our pursuit of economic growth regardless of damage being caused, for example. I don't think the 'baddies' got scared or worsened because of the growth of social movements, but certainly, attempts are being made to curtail their power. I like the message of continued striving and not giving up to make change happen.

Thank you. Lots there to think about.

editing because I don't want to seem overly pushy about what the cards say (without my knowing the proper context) for your personal project!

Yes, much of the interpretation depends on the context. But the overall meaning of the cards is helpful . Death, usually as the first card, and chariot have come up often when I tried pulling for myself.
Will be back with your reading.

What will the transformation be about?
clouds, man, lily, birds, heart
The first card clouds casts a shadow over the spread and speaks of a troubled relationship in some ways. Perhaps this was because of a lack of stability in the man - clouds/man. You will talk frankly about your relationship. Heart at the end mirroring clouds can denote a sense of loss or be something positive. The answer is not given. So the transformation will be about your emotional connection and what you mean to each other.

Calliope, I think I did wrong to ask the last question. The first spread could have given me the answer and when it didn't I asked again. So, I think the spread was 'playing' to my demands. The first spread basically speaks of an interchange that is about your connection. Heart at the end leaves the outcomes open. It is a positive card, overall.

I will delete the 2nd spread,
