The currently planetary alignment is hitting very personal spots in my natal, and I'm feeling very in tune and like I should harness some of this energy and give back (lots of Pisces/Virgo happening, haha)...so would love to test/work on reading skills.

KING OF WANDS - THE SUN - HIGH PRIESTESS (Rx)

Ok, so I see there has been a lot of anticipation surrounding this trip! Whatever it is, it's definitely some sort of scene that will make a splash, but (without jumping too far ahead) you may have skimmed over some of the details in all your excitement and it may not be the splash you expected. Whether or not some setbacks manifest because of this, it wasn't for a lack of desire and activity. Actually, no I need to jump ahead here to the High Priestess in future. Is there an inner nagging intuition you've had about this trip and what might happen on it that you are disregarding? Or do you have a friend/confidante who has given you advice on the situation that wasn't what you wanted to hear? Basically, do you know/have you been told what might happen, but you're running from it? Either way, you're going to ignore both intuition and external advice, even though you should be open to listening to and accepting this feeling/assessment. I think perhaps you're just very excited about whatever prospects there might be, and it feels better to be happy and hopeful for once instead of realistic. Which is fine! You have the Sun there in the present, so you're totally confident in yourself, without being arrogant, so you know you will have a fun weekend and have high hopes for it, and you'll feel more free and like yourself than in some time. I think overall this weekend will definitely be positive for you and fun, but just keep in mind that it probably will not pan out in exactly the way you expect--or it might pan out how you already know it will, but refuse to acknowledge. The sun indicates breakthroughs, so maybe the breakthrough is listening to yourself more, or else it's something that will happen this weekend that leads to an unexpected/unwanted result. Yes!! So glad you are open to this message. It's not always fun to hear, "Keep chugging along, you're doing great girl, gotta focus on yourself still," when you wanna hear about who will enter your life next, but I think it's an important reminder since the work you're doing for yourself is so important and consuming....and setting you up for that next relationship

Okay, this is outside of the tarot reading, but want to write it down before I pull to see if the cards reflect it/if you connect to it: who is the Scorpio between you three? Or who has the Scorpio placements/Pluto influence? There is something a little sinister about this one.

Okay, onto the reading:

10 OF PENTACLES fell out twice as I was shuffling, so I think to answer the question overall, yes a steamy relationship is in the future for you. It's somewhat conventional at its root, and about investing in the long term...so is one of these men you're interested in more conventional over the other? Or which one do you feel a sense of "belonging" with more? It also related to Virgo.

THREE SWORDS - QUEEN OF SWORDS (Rx) - 7 WANDS

I don't think anyone likes to see the 3 of Swords in a reading, but at least it is in the past position here. It speaks to heartbreak and imprisonment, a very "no gain without pain" placement. Hurtful words and a stormy atmosphere were probably a part of something in your past, and the Rx Queen of Swords is also points to the memory of a relationship that wasn't what it seemed. You need to be authentic in order to receive authenticity back. It also calls for the inner strength to understand that a strong mind can sometimes lead to an aggressive desire to demand out of people what you want from them, which in concert with a past that you still feel somewhat confined by and wanting to never repeat again making you a bit staunch. It can also indicate that you're so opposed to repeating this past, that you're pushing so hard for something different that it will antithetically eventually end up the same because you've landed on the other end of the spectrum where you're no longer the victim, but becoming the victimizer. Especially with the seven of wands--struggling to maintain your position of power. I think you may need to realize that you can't always win someone over by pure force of will or being overly critical, that everyone will move through life and experience and react to it in the way they want and need to--plus, why would you want to be in a relationship with a total pushover, right? You do need to stand your ground for yourself and your emotional well-being, but don't do it at the expense of the other person and a potential relationship. Meaning, don't exalt what YOU want and need, and try to make that person become your ideal (which would be inauthentic, if they have to "become" what you desire). Instead, approach others with integrity and confidence and be true to yourself, but also be true to knowing what will help you achieve the relationship you want. It's not about pushing and forming and molding and demanding someone be this way or that--it's about believing in yourself and your worth, but also being humble and not authoritative and myopic about what "you deserve." Because you deserve happiness, and trying to create it from sources that may not inherently be able to build what you desire isn't going to end up being "happy."

I pulled one last card, which also firms up this idea of someone being petty and controlling--queen of wands Rx. She can be very intimidating and push herself into a place of isolation or abandonment by others.

Okay, I'm back. This is interesting...so I pulled cards for you the first time around and they just weren't making sense to me, which is when I decided to take a break. Originally all the cards were reversed, and in this reading they're again reversed. The original cards were a lot of 4's, so I was inclined to say that what brought you both together was a feeling of excess in your lives, whether that be excess stress, material things, love to give or what have you, but in any case there was an abundance of something for each of you, and the desire to share it to bear the load more easily...or perhaps that searching for something that you did not have an abundance of (a relationship of the type you two have, for example) is what brought you together. So either a desire to fill a lack, or the desire to unload some of what you had too much of.

Now, in this set of cards what I'm seeing is that you both were actively pursuing things that weren't really satisfying you, but you weren't sitting back and thinking about what it would be that would make you fulfilled. The Queen of Cups also showed up in both readings, signifying to me, again, this extreme feeling of being out of touch with any sort of emotional fulfillment and putting pressure on finding a relationship/a way to channel that emotional turmoil through something. It could also mean you both were coping with heavy/emotional things by escaping from it with substances or some other form of "running away" (like fantasizing/wishing for things instead of physically going after them/fixing what was blocking you) that made you see a kindred soul in one another. Strength reversed also signifies a loss of control or else trying to control life too much.

So, overall.....this reading might make no sense at all, but what I'm getting is just like....an abundance of something not necessarily fulfilling, trying to escape from it in ways that were unproductive, loss of control over things or else feeling out of control and trying to micromanage things too much, and something in common between all those is what brought you two together.

My sense is that you were both totally frazzled and so stressed by everything going on around you, that the universe delivered you both to one another as a gift to help cope.

You have invested a lot of optimism into this relationship and have starry dreams of where it might lead. The emperor represents this man in your life. Is this someone who influences you in the sense that you tend to follow his advice and lifestyle habits? Maybe you find him inspiring in some way. QoP is indicating that you will feel confident in yourself - perhaps in contrast to how you felt previously - confident enough to make decisions. The justice card usually indicates that some kind of decision about your relationship is upcoming. There is a big change ahead. Incidentally, when I was shuffling, Tower popped out - which now seems to be related to this.
