Hi

I have read about three of these books. If I rememger I think the tenth insight was something about meeting your soul group and making peace with them. I have not read Shambala but will soon, I think it is about the power of prayer etc, They are all great books.

There is a celistine web site but I don't have the link

Celestine Prophesy was one of my first too. I can't remember if Love Signs found me first, or Celestine... it was almost 15 years ago but it doesn't seem that long... My "first" (if you don't count all those that came before) was A Return To Love by Marianne Williamson. She gave me back my faith. Love Signs and Celestine were around the same time, that same summer, and they came after I began to pray (thanks to A Return to Love). The books and the people kept pouring in after that, and the hole within me began to fill with the wisdom.

Read it from front to back today.
It now sits closely next to star signs on my shelf.

"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll

Celestine prophecy and the following tenth insight had far-fetched story lines, and no substance apart from the actual 'prophecies'

When I watched the 'secret' it reminded me of this book Celestine prophecy, they say similar things.

I do see a movement in the 'mass conciousness' however, and see more and more people thinking different thoughts than they used to, there is more tolerance and less ridicule in my circles anyway.

The movie just came out on DVD.
Did you guys see it?
Since I don't remember the book too well (read it about 10 years ago,) the movie was a nice reminder of those ideas .
Here is something I found on the web:
quote:
First Insight. Synchronicities (meaningful coincidences or connected events that can not be explained by ordinary science) are real, frequent, meaningful, purposeful, and enlivening;

Second Insight. Through psycho-spiritual historical reflection we can live in a "longer now" and see through our historical, cultural, and consciousness fixations;

Third Insight. The world consists of energy that human beings can directly interact with in ways that transcend current scientific understanding;

Fourth Insight. Humans compete with each other for energy, and by recognizing this habit, we can transcend it;

Fifth Insight. Through a mystical awareness and focus on "beauty" we can supply ourselves with nearly unlimited energy;
Sixth Insight. Our control dramas from our childhood hold us back and must be "cleared" or transcended

Seventh Insight. By paying attention to our thoughts and experiences, and by focusing on positive outcomes, we fully engage in our own personal evolution;

Eighth Insight. A new "interpersonal ethic" is arising which teaches us to promote ourselves by energetically promoting others;

Ninth Insight. A grand and glorious future awaits humanity as we become aware of and begin to practice the wisdom of the previous Insights; and

Tenth Insight. We can maintain our optimism and stay awake, and integrate the previous Insights, by seeing our lives from the higher perspective of the "Afterlife."

Just watched the movie tonight---

The book is MUCH better, but maybe with a movie version the "message" will reach more people...

I, too read it first MANY years ago and very much enjoyed the re-minder~~~

Not to mention the scenery in the movie is absolutely magical!!!

Well, I certainly would not place it next to Star Signs...what an insult to Linda Goodman. ...

what about Creation..God MOther and Father
As Above so Below...?

this book, and his others, are a distraction
from the Truth...

my two cents
