I thought it was a very interesting movie - i'm suprised i haven't heard much discussion about it anywhere it was great to think that before we are even born - we have a chosen path and that we are not alone. it was interesting the teamwork (team) needed to protect the creature - everyone in the group was so different. i thought it was interesting how the people had to figure out who was part of the team and who was responsible for what. It really was a good movie. IP: Logged |

Want to see it.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. Is it scarey? do tell. So it has metaphysical/spiritual influence? = destined path before we were born ??I didn't care for the Village so I was thinking his movies are going downhill, no? I own Signs, and Sixth Sense, love both. IP: Logged |

Nephthys - I agree with you, loved Signs and The Sixth Sense but found The Village to be disappointing Not sure about this one, the trailers look good, but then the trailers looked good for The Village IP: Logged |

I saw this movie in theatres. It's not at all what I expected but I did enjoy it very much. It is not a typical hollywood movie at all.. very odd.. almost broken. I say rent it and take what you can from it's message. It is very spiritual and I recommend it for the spiritually inclined. It will not be your favourite movie, I can almost guarantee, but the feelings about it are what make it worthwhile.. Let me know if you guys watch it! IP: Logged |

Ditto on Signs and The Sixth Sense (and disappointment with The Village).------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Looking forward to this one, though (still haven't seen it yet).------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Ok, I just rented Lady in the Water. What I got from it; Each person has a purpose in the world, even though he/she may think he doesn't. What each of us does, affects others. We are all connected. Interesting that it is about a "Bedtime Story"......the main character's name is "Story".......she is "Snow White"...(pale white)......there are "7 Dwarfs".....there is a "Big Bad Wolf".....still trying to find other clues to bedtime stories. Anyone else find any? I must say I *hate* it when the characters whisper in movies in dialogue. I simply *cannot hear* and I have to turn the volume way up to like 40 or 50.....then the music is way to loud! UGH! Why do they always whisper so softly in movies!? I also have a lot of distractions at home when I rent movies........I simply *cannot* watch a movie through in it's entirety without interuptions, etc. So I may have enjoyed it more if I saw it in the theater. It is suspensful. I was surprised that all the tenants who lived there were so fast in believeing the issue that Story was facing. I think in real life there would have been more non-believers. I also don't get how she got into the pool and the underground water area in the first place? Why did they title it "Lady" when she is a young girl? IP: Logged |

Randall,To be honest, I don't feel that you will be missing anything special if you don't see it. I also rented All the Kings Men and I really couldn't tell you much about the story 'cos I had so many distractions at home during the movie. IP: Logged |
