Spiritual in nature--or just anything?------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

you might like this...one of my favorites. Plant Spirit Medicine: The Healing Power of Plants by Eliot Cowan Ancient shamanic practice compelled the magician-healer first to make contact with the spirit of the plant to ask for its help before administering the herbal cure. This practice is alive today in Mexico among the traditional Indian shaman healers-principally the elder Huichol Indian shaman and plant spirit healer Don Guadalupe Gonzales Rios. Elliot Cowan reveals these ancient practices and guides the reader in the effective use of the wild herb plants in the area in which he or she lives. the result is a wonderful psychic and spiritual approach to holistic healing. http://www.amazon.com/Plant-Spirit-Medicine-Healing-Plants/dp/0926524097/sr=8-2/qid=1170612549/ref=sr_1_2/002-1782913-1412032?ie=UTF8&s=books

you're welcome ArtLoves i suppose i should have utilized the quote code rather than italics in referencing the book description from the amazon page. i love how eliot cowan communicates with plants in his dreams in his healing practice. he learned these ancient practices from native shamans. perhaps somewhat light reading, but fascinating nonetheless, are Tony Hillerman novels. great mystery fiction, replete with excellent insights on native american life.

You're welcome! ------------------ Scorpio/Leo/Leo "When you realize how perfect everything is you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky" Buddha After all, when someone at a party asks you what sign you are, and you look at them (penetratingly) and reply, "Scorpio", and they give a little gasp and back away, or instantly inquire what you're doing later, well, it can get a little...tiresome. -Liz Greene IP: Logged |
