I go for acceptation. If we assume the ego is responsible for human desires and you want to get rid of it...that's your ego playing around with you, dumb***  You want- you desire. In my opinion we have the ego for some reason and it's not necessarily trying to destroy it. I guess life would be much easier if all I needed was smelling flowers and watching butterflies but damn, that would be so boring. I think we come here to achieve something and to make it happen we need a drive, not a lobotomy. I suspect most of the people who want to kill their ego simply have a problem with dealing with negative emotions and they see a remedy in it. Why kill it? Just try to befriend it and when it starts talking bull... punch it in the face. Even if it's your face too  ------------------

Straight of the bat D, something died. Something within myself. It feels like a good thing yet may be viwed as a negative by those who don't understand the sudden change.Whenever you told me to remove my emotion from a sitaution, I felt that you were telling me to be a zombie I.e not feel anything. At the time it was not easy to comprehend. It's easier to understand now because it happens without a conscious effort. Yes, there are times I still do react but not as intensely as before. Those intense emotions were making me sick. Literally. This realization was verified after the last time we talked (not last time but when I got  at you) because you were teaching me something beyond my level of of awareness. Anyhow, letting go of that part of the Ego makes forgiveness (particularly the really bad stuff) easier. You can see each individual as a person who has their own struggles in life and treat them more compassion and tolerance. You know what I mean.  Anyhow, enough ramblings. Till later.

It's true. You allow them to be them, and you no longer react. True unconditional love..... That doesn't mean you don't feel, you will always feel a range of emotions depending on how the person you are dealing with affects you Energetically but how you choose to react to it...to interpret it even is all your choice and hence your reality. This is true...and this I feel was one of the errors of Buddhism and Hinduism religions as a whole. We must accept our shadow self...how can you recognize light if you never know darkness? @SDragon:
I feel like we will discover some palpable truths in our lifetime. And these truths will change our ability to answer these questions.
