I had a few things from Nightingale-conant - at least on loan, before sending them back after thirty days (hoping, during that time, that I would find a way to pay for them). I can see how I've wasted a good portion of my life, in ways, and held myself back, by not believing in myself - by letting fear keep me where I am (rather than having confidence in myself, that things would be better for me in time, if I kept going). That I don't disagree with - my attitude sucks, a times (it does right now). I was only agreeing with Lexx, when it comes to certain illness, or things happening to you where other people are concerned (whether they do something that doesn't physically hurt you, but they knew it would hurt you emotionally and damage your relatiomship - that's why they kept it from you - OR, when someone physically hurts you). You're told that your feelings/attempting to manipulate someone with your will, won't get you anywhere, but then some then turn around and say that you brought that into your life. ??? Someone took this book back to the library, so I have to order it in again. At the moment, I'm once again stuck in Why Bother? Land, so I need it. I liked Abraham-Hicks' first book, with the ways to elevate your mood - we have that around here somewhere. I don't like the way they didn't take responsibility for their negative experience with The Secret. They're the shapers of their world, aren't they? I want to hear, from them, how they brought that negative experience to themselves. IP: Logged
DiandraReborn25 unregistered	posted July 19, 2010 09:13 AM the thing is...wether positive or not,it is always ourselves who shape our reality,therephore we bring also illnesses to ourselves. this is an unconscious process.note that we can change all of that,by being aware of how the process is,and then work it to improve our own awareness and change our perspectives. All of these books im suggesting are for those who are already into these kind of "philosohpy".a ceptic wont´see where the author is coming from,nor where it goes. before reading this one,i already was into the secret ( this one is very basic though), conversations with God,Celestine Prophecy etc. so i was already aware of how these things happens,and i also have my own beliefs that helps me accept and see as truth,the things these books say. for Lexx i can understand that she doenst quite accept or believe.she suffered many things in this life,mostly health related and it is comprehensible that Lexx dont see the book as a tool-that is why i said for some the book will not help. each one of us knows what is best for us. nevertheless.i still believe that this book is precious for everyone. it takes just to read it in the "perfect time" in life maybe.. katatonic Knowflake Posts: 6821 From: Registered: Apr 2009	posted July 19, 2010 11:32 AM i DO understand that some people USE this stuff to blame the person they are manipulating. i've seen it over and over again, in fact i have worked for years with someone who does this on a regular basis. she tells herself and others that she LOVES the other person but they are projecting their own issues on her, yet the same issues come up again and again with HER, with different people...most of whom either learn to work around it or leave to find a place where they won't be gypped... however i do NOT think that is the message intended. the spinal map and most of the "causes" hay talks about come from standard chiropractic methods. it's not for everyone, and it is generalized, but she uses herself for an example repeatedly. all i know is my attitude has changed with the help of these and other authors with closely similar messages and my life has changed with it to the point it is barely recognizable. You cannot escape the karma stored in the Causal Body without forgiving others and living a life of genuine compassion. Hicks may have cleared some temporary karma, then allowed the Laws of Abundance to click for 3D realms. Did they think that Mr Bill Gates got 50 billion without having given 50 billions worth in many previous past lifelines? You can only cash out what you have karmically earned through generosity and positive acts, the Laws of Abundance and Attraction work hand in hand with Karmic Laws and very deep spiritual understanding. And many people forget the Soul Contract with Higher Self. If they chose to be poor no matter what as a life experience challenge for this particular incarnation, then no Secret will help in getting rich. And much of the "we choose our path before we were born and cannot change it" comes from times when the religious communities and people in general needed a societal condoned way to allow them to reject or kill or put out on the streets, the deformed, diseased, old, the ill and so forth. So be careful what you buy into.... it could well be terribly wrong no matter how it is packaged..... and the more spiritual the packages appear, the more likely you are being deceived, especially when it lays clear blame upon the already suffering folks of the world. I sense a big long time deception that began long ago, to promote more the idea of perfecting humanity by condemning those who suffer. Yeah eliminate all who suffer and do not fit the perfect idea or are poor. Humanity has and is still being deceived. Why bother by the blamer mentality, to bother to help the poor and ill and suffering? I mean, it is their fault or they agreed to be so...right? SO LET THE POOR STAY POOR, DO NOT TRY TO HELP OR HEAL THE ILL OR DEFORMED OR WHATEVER.... BECAUSE THEY ARE TO BLAME AND OH MY GEE WHIZ... It is up to the one who introspects to decide which philosophy works best for their spiritual growth. I have personally recalled making Contracts prior to this incarnation but my inner regression experience need not be the same for every Soul. Maybe some Souls get randomly bullied and oppressed to serve as a test for others to see how they will help? If this is the case, then such souls are making a sacrifice for the cause of greater good of humanity. It is much better to convince parents of a child in the Cancer Ward to pump the kid with intravenous Vitamin C to save his life than give them talks on karma or scripture. Suffering is thus a test for non-sufferers too. IP: Logged

katatonic Knowflake Posts: 6821 From: Registered: Apr 2009	posted November 01, 2010 05:08 PM diandra you mean robert scheinfeld is GIVING something away??? i can hardly believe my eyes. i loved that book, but his justification for not giving refunds to anyone turned me off him completely. the money game book is as good a rendition of the concept as there is, but had two major faults in my eyes... the author had some major ups and downs but at no time was he ever without a lifeline to a huge amount of money if he was willing to accept it... as above, he fixed his problem with "attracting refund seekers" by eliminating refunds on all his product! that is NOT the same as attracting people who don't ask for refunds...and if he is so resilient what skin off his nose if people don't like his stuff and want their money back? a customer is born every minute, right?
