year - wood ox month - metal dragon day - fire monkey hour - metal tiger http://chineseastrologyonline.com/CFTCal2.htm Here is where you can find out your animals. Apparently the day represents you, *not* the year you were born. So I'm a fire monkey, not a wood ox. Year-based chinese astrology is pretty much the equivalent of sun-sign-only western astrology. It's the only part that's easy to calculate (the only part they could put on placemats at restaurants, lol). But it doesn't necessarily tell you much. Apparently there's more to it than that. Even the weather at your birth is important. Someone born during a violent thunderstorm (like me) and someone born on a peaceful day will be even more different than would be shown by their animals/elements. I don't know much about it, I just know there's a lot to know ^^ IP: Logged |

I'm a Metal Monkey, Sagittarius. The book New Astrology: A Unique Synthesis of the World's Two Great Astrological Systems: The Chinese and Western Suzanne White was the one that got me into Chinese Astrology and I think she does a great job of integrating the two systems. Very good read. ------------------ "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Ghandi IP: Logged |

I'm a Fire Cat/Rabbit. I feel more like a cat than a rabbit usually. Although.. there are these real rabbits that sit around eating under a willow tree in the backyard and I always try to imagine being one. I seen that show on animal planet you guys were talking about. It was pretty good, I still remember it. What it was saying about the snakes, I have two pisces snakes in my family and they both act like princess's. I'm a Gemini Rabbit and I'm very detached. I don't like it really but I can't help it either. And I would die if I was alone for long... I get really lonely if I go even a few hours without seeing and talking to someone.IP: Logged |
