Ive been laughing since ive read this. I just had to share it with y'all.

A big shot businessman had to spend a coupla days in
hospital. He was a royal pain to the nurses cuz he
kept ordering them around like he did his employees.
The head nurse was the only one who cud stand up to
him. She came into his room and announced "i hafta
take ur temperature." After complaining for several
minutes he finally setteled down, crossed his arms and
opened his mouth. "No sorry," the nurse stated,"but
for this reading i cant use the oral thermometer."
After another round of complaining he rolled over and
bared his rear end. After feeling the nurse insert the
thermometer he heard her announce "i have to get
something. Stay just like that till i get bac."
She leaves the door to his room open on the way out.
He curses under his breath as he hears ppl walking
past his door laughing. After almost an hour the
doctor walks in, "what's going on here?"
Angrily the man answers " What's the matter doc? Never
seen someone have their temp taken?"
After a pause the doc admmits " Actually no, i guess i
haven't. Not with a carnation anyway."

Warning: if you are easily weirded out, do not read this post! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

OK Ananya, I found an explanation for why "queen" is in my username: I'm breaking down the barriers of sexism! I am ridding the world of gender specific names. Calling myself "queen" is a step towards coed- bathrooms!

Coolies! It is a step up from calling both the king and queen as "Your Highness" rather than "Your Highn" and "Your Highness". Feminism is taking over.

And I'm not making any sense here...

Heh...

Well, actually there is scientific and statistical proof that females have certain advantages over males. Consider these:

1. Women have longer average lifespan
2. Women are less susceptible to sickness and disease (except maybe sickess that are associated with a specific gender, like breast cancer)
3. Women are less likely to go bald
4. People feel more at ease when confronted by a woman.
5. Less crimes are committed by a woman (well, this one is shaky proof. Statistics show that crimes are directly proportional to the amount of freedom a group has. Might be only circumstantial)
6. Less women commit suicide (again, the circumstantial freedom thingie)

Okay, my guy friends might be after my neck after this one, so I'm gonna stop right here.

Still, why is the world so obsessed with gender issues? There are work generally suited to females and there are work generally suited to males but if the opposite sex is perfectly capable of it, why not?

Me? I stand perfectly neutral and go for the other factors to determine a person's worth.

And, damn, I forgot what I was about to write next...

Oh yeah, there's one thing I don't understand, though. Why do some feminists rally for "equal rights" but when they are faced with the downside of equality they cry out "chivalry is dead!" or maybe just complain silently. I read something about a girl who wrote that she was complaining about how "ungentleman-ly" those guys in the train were, not giving up their seat to a woman. And this same girl wrote about equal rights (in the same article she related that story, even). What kind of double-talk is that? I mean, sure, if a guy gives up his seat for you, well and good. But if not, why complain? It's like indirectly saying "Hey you, get off the seat. I'm standing here, you know."

Well, actually the reason why she did that was because the woman was pregnant, so I can understand her complaint, but why did she emphasize being a WOMAN instead of being PREGNANT?

I've also encountered some women who, when carrying stuff, grumble about nobody helping her. But when some people try to, they refuse! Geez, what do they really want?

I'm nitpicking here, but I had to get it out.

Finally we're having a serious discussion!! Yesss!!

Ananya- I certainly think girls are great in a lot of ways, but guys are still easier for me to understand. I'd rather not have to make a decision as to which is superior; since it's such an important issue and since I'm a Libran, that would take me forever! Could we say they're 'equal'?
Thanks for all that *love*, btw!

Hmm, X3me, I think I agree... but I'll keep my mouth shut for now... see what Z has to say.

QOS:
Do my eyes deceive me or a Libra just actually AGREED and not debate? Then again, I wasn't actually trying to start one...

I was stating facts, not opinions, both based on what I've read and experiences. I'm not saying anything bad, it's just I don't understand them sometimes.

As for understanding from what I know, I'll put it this way. I'm gonna divide stuff into deep issues and trivial issues. Take note that the division is from my POV, and may not always agree with others. Trivial issues may be deep to others and vice versa.

Most guys don't mind talking about trivial issues but doggedly guard the deep issues. With women it's sorta the opposite. They share the deep issues with their girlfriends and expect the others to know the trivial issues without them telling it.

Well, at least, that's what I understood and learned from my past relationships and my current relationship. That's why I guess basically it's hard for people to understand the opposite sex.

Am currently reading Chicken Soup for the Soul at Work... and it's bringing tears to my eyes. Especially the chapter on service (seriously, most of the stories that brought tears to my eyes came from that chapter). Looks like the Virgo in me actually got hit through that thick Saggy/Gemini exterior.

OK, back to lighter issues. HAS ANYBODY SEEN TIMMY?????????

Hi ananya! I am new to this site and I think its really cool as well. Especially since most of the people I hang out with know nothing about astrology. It is nice to talk to others who share my interest in the subject. About me, erm I live here in the States, California, it's pretty nice here. Especially by the coast. Unfortunately, I live in a small town nowhere near the coast, or anywhere for that matter, so this is about as much socialization that i get now that I am off school for the summer. I am approaching my senior year in high school at the tender age of 16, although I will be 17 Sept. 6. I'll still be one of the youngest people in my class though. Geez, it looks like I've run out of things to say I guess I shut up now talk to ya later!!!

Hi..umm..dorkus?! well, since u leave me nothing else to go by with, i'll stick to that name.
You know something, it's really interesting how astrology appeals so much to some people and to some its just abbacadabra. I mean, for you and i to be here, we had to muster up enough interest to first read Linda Goodman's book(s) and then go check her up on the net. Im probably making no sense here...but it's still a wonder to me.

Neither my parents nor my friends have any great interest in the subject and most think it's just confined to newspaper projections of how "good" or "bad" 1/12th of the world's population's day is gonna go.

I guess im rambling again. Forgivez-moi. But then, that's me when im half asleep .

At other times im slightly worse.

Nope, Nalsar's in hyderabad alright. you know, being the champion of the underdog might just be a very rosy picture of what lawyers actually do, or are capable of achieving.
Anyways, the one in Bangalore is called NLSUI...i might try out for it next year.

Thank god you asked me for only my sunsign and nothing else. Im a true to the core cancerian. I love, i cry and i switch moods in the extremes. Horrible creatures we are, but hey, we're loyal! The crabbiness is just part of the package. I once calculated my moon sign and ascendent....if i remember correctly i have an aquarian asc. but i cudnt b 2 sure.
for once less questions and more replies!
