Love!
So, do we have any romantic love stories? That we would be willing to share, that is?

There's a Shakepseare quote about this...
"Spring, when a young man's fancy turns to love..." or something vaguely along those lines...

Hmm. Certainly has for me...

Ika... have more confidence in yourself, there's always someone that you wouldn't expect that's dreaming of you - I'm sure of it. I'd crack up if my parents wouldn't let me out.

I can't think of any stories right now except for one, when I was 9 I think , I was playing kiss chasing with friends & one boy was chasing me. We were running around of course I was too fast for him but he was running, he tripped & needed to get stitches after that. It didn't stop him playing the next day of course.

ikachigo, I sort of live on a farm. I have many four leggeds of my own and take in many rescues; mostly cats and wild critters. I have 4 dogs, 5 cats, 12 llamas, too many feathered friends to count , and a menagerie of critters looking for homes.

Zerep it would be rude of a llama not to spit. They spit ONLY as a warning that they are feeling threatened.Spit first, kick second. Sadly, most people see llamas in very stressful situtations like zoos and the llamas can only take so many people poking, hollering and staring at them. They do spit at each other for the very same reason, warning! I have never been spit on and I`ve done some undignified things to them ie: inocculations, enemas, splinting injuries ect.

It helps to understand animals if we remember there are two kinds, preditors and prey. The adage is "eyes in front, they hunt" "eyes to the side they hide" (prey). Llamas are prey. So, we as humans have eyes in the front hence we hunt, or the llamas see us that way. We`re not natural friends so if not treated correctly from birth, they naturally fear us. To them spitting is the same as your mom saying "thats enough, go to your room"

Guess I got a little long-winded ey

To spit or not to spit, that is the question.

Thanks Randall, our four legged friends are my passion. I believe if the population is educated in mammal behaviors (including our own), the occurance of abandonment and abuse would be greatly reduced.

Queen, yes it`s awesome having cats own us. And it`s xtra cool that they`re smart enough to let US think we`re in charge!!

I wish I was a cat. To sleep... and sleep... and sleep. And occasionally wake up to run around and frolic.
