I don't think living forever would lead to eternal bliss, though it might give you time to learn some extra lessons. I still want to experiment with immortality when I'm old enough to show the effects. Mainly, I'm just waiting for it to be proved to me (sorry, but I don't want to take this on faith on the net).

Hello everybody! I used to be QueenofSheeba and then I was Apollo and now I am QueenofSheeba again (and I'm a guy in case you didn't know)!

I don't want to be immortal. I actually want to die young. I don't want to get old and wrinkly and I don't want people to take care of me. SO, I plan on dying young. I wouldn't want to live forever either, even if I could stay physically young. I really hate it here, and I always feel like I don't belong. So I can't wait to die and see whats on the other side.

Well, coincidentally, my grandmother's told me my entire life "If you don't want to get old, die young." But it's a quote she uses in jest.

What your grandmother said is exactly how I feel. I just don't want to get so old that I can't take care of myself... I couldn't stand it if someone had to treat me like a baby.. thats all. I used to think immortality would be great.. I don't know what happened to that.

But it's meant to be a joke. Not all old can't take care of themselves, you know. My grandmother's best friend is 91, is still working, driving, and lives happily by herself.

Oh I know that not all old people need taken care of. I just think I would be one of the ones who do. My grandpa(the capricorn) is 87 and he's doing great. I mean, he's losing his mind, but he's still walking around...

I think, that the most important thing in universe is LIFE ITSELF.That`s why all the creatures will keep on being reborn , till they decide to become immortal. I know that death means always a new beginning, but why should I begin something new? Because of unhappiness in this life or this terrible world? That is karma and we are making our own world. I want to be and I will be immortal and pay all my karmic depts. In my opinion immortality is the way how to return to heaven, where we all belong.

MIRACLES and LOVE ARE ALL AROUND US...

Lady331,
How wise you are, your words are beautiful to me, and resonate with truth.

I would like to be freeze now and wake up later. I am just 23 so when I wake up I am sure world would change and technology would be much develpoed.I would be glad to go on a moon or mars.well that's my dream. I am sure it would be cheap to go after few decades.

I agree to Mercurybird in a way. I think I would be able to take care of myself but I don't want to get all wrinkly and my brain would work slower than now would drive me nuts.

At the same time I don't want to die young because I won't be able to learn lessons what life teaches you as you get old. Some say life starts by 40 and things like that. I am sure I would change a lot and so on.I am sure I would come out of lots of fear I have now.

I WANT TO BE IMMORTAL BUT DON'T WANT TO BE OLD BY HEART OR UGLY.

I told my younger brother I was immortal last night.
He said "how so?"
So I explained all that I knew.
Now he is convinced too!

We're going to be ageless together! It's great having an immortal buddy. I can't believe he didn't call me crazy or wierd, or make fun of me! I'm so lucky to have a brother like him.
So open minded.

Does anyone here have others they can openly share their immortality with?

i would want to be imortal but i dont know for how long. After living for a few centuries life can get sad and depressing, and i dont know if i could deal with seeing people live and die and watch others destroy the earth. People do some pretty harmful things unintentionally ya know.

What about the wisdom learned and all the beauty one would see?

As a mortal, you will still see a lot of death in your lifetime.

Immortal?? No way!!! I wanna die. (well not right now, but-). What's the fun in life if you're going to live forever? Just like life, death is a blessing.

I'm going to go with immortality, since I believe in reincarnation. If I die, I'm just going to be born again and have to re-learn everything. I'd rather have instant karma as an immortal, because I'd rather just pay my dues right away and get it over with than have to deal with it in a next life where I won't have any idea why I have such bad luck. Wow, run-on sentence... Don't you just hate those?
I shared my wish to be immortal with my younger brother and sister. My brother thinks that it's possible to live for a long time, but not be immortal, and my sister... well, she might come around.
But she still makes fun of me from time to time.
I'm still working on getting rid of my fears and my belief in time. At first it was really hard... but it's getting easier. Now each time I see an old person talking about how they're getting weaker and having all these problems, I just really want to tell them about immortality, but I'm still afraid of ridicule.. Yes, I'm working on that, too. Hehe.
I'm glad I can share my views here. I know you guys understand.

Why would I want to live forever when everything around me would eventually die or crumble and do so over and over again?..We're only supposed to be here for a little while. I assume, eventually, even life would become boring when you've had time to do everything you've ever wanted. I'm sure there will be different variations of the same thing but unless you feel perpetual awe for something the way a 4 year old does I wouldn't see a point.
