Everyone who feels Snape is evil should read[or re-read] chapter 26[SEEN AND UNFORSEEN] AND CHAPTER 28[SNAPE'S WORST MEMORY] in "the order of the phoenix" where Harry learns Occlumency from Snape.I quote from page 521[chap 26].."Snape staggered-his wand flew upwards,away from Harry-and suddenly Harry's mind was teeming with memories that were not his: a hook-nosed man was shouting at a cowering woman,while a small dark-haired boy[Snape] cried in a corner....a greasy-haired teenager sat alone in a dark bedroom,pointing his wand at the ceiling,shooting down flies.....a girl was laughing as a scrawny boy tried to mount a bucking broomstick-"....paints quite a poignant picture of his childhood,doesn't it?

I dont think he's evil, I just think he should have looked a little more evil, specially in the start of the stories.

I don't think Snape's evil... that thought is pretty well disproven in book 5. I just think he's an A-hole

Gooober, Excellent assessment! I wonder if she was thinking of Numerology as well as the Astro stuff?

I think with some of the names she's chosen, it's pretty clear she was looking to the stars.

I'm sorry, but I don't think Rowling paid nearly enough attention to the astrologocial aspect. I think Harry could be perfectly described as a Cancer with a moon in Leo. I mean, he really is introverted, quiet, confused, with occassional outbursts. The Leo aspect is strong, though- he's has lots of Leo moments. He's quite sulky and self-centered at times. Putting his birthday in July- wait, does that make him a Cancer? My my, I am frazzled. Harry's birthday is in July, isn't it? So he would be a Cancer. Haha, I guess the astrology is fine. But didn't someone earlier state that Harry was a Leo? Geez I don't know.

I cant recall the excact date, or if JK even stated one, but Harry was definatly born at the end of July. So he probably is a Leo, hmmm, maybe with a Cancer moon or asc!?

hello. i am new here. I am 18 and have been exposed to this by certain members of my family. I am sad now...no more harry potter killings. i feel i must protest this...as i too like the potter books. I just hope it isn't ron...i would hate that.

oh yea to answer someones earlier question...they say harry was born at the end of july...so he would be a leo (like me)
however i could easily believe he had cancer rising and maybe (maybe) pisces moon. He has that bit of circular logic that defines water signs, yet still harbors leo tendencies. interesting if someone did his chart...hmmm

I think I read somewhere that Rowling gave Harry the same birthday as her, which is July 30th. And I know I've read somewhere that Harry was born the end of July, so he's a Leo for sure. I think Leo fits him, he has outbursts, but he has a huge heart, a lot of pride, and he looks out for the underdog. I think Ron and Hermoine's relationship is very Virgo-Pisces (she being the Virgo). She's such a Virgo. Moon in gemini, aires rising maybe? And Aires moon, Sag rising for Ron? He's so clumsy, he has to have some sag, and definitely gets the occasional case of Jupiter-foot-in-mouth syndrome.

Who else. Dumbledore? Capricorn, scorpio moon and pisces rising. Snape? Cancer. Rough childhood memories have a lasting effect, and he's so vindictive.

I'm re-reading book 5, and it's even better the second time. OHHH I want to go to Hogwarts.

Just checked out JK's 'official' site and found a definate Hermione birthday and the twins.
'Hermione's birthday is September the 19th'
Making her a Virgo!! Guesses correct!! And Eightdegrees I definatly agree with the Virgo (Herm) -Pisces (Ron) relationship!! Lol, definatley 'foot-in-mouth' Sag rising too!!
And also spotted: 'Fred and George Weasley were born - when else? - on April Fools Day!'
Aries twins!! I was hoping for Gemini... oh well! I guess they do have Arien traits!
