Advanced Placement exams were last week and this week. For those of you that took any of them- how'd you do? Easier than what you expected, harder?

I took the AP European History test on Friday afternoon. That was torture. The entire day was crazy- I spent first block in a half-awake comatose state making up a final, and the rest of the day running around the school with study groups cramming in everything that I could about anything that happened past the Industrial Revolution. It was our teacher's first year of teaching this subject, and she was absolutely awful- no idea what she was doing. Anyway, the Document-based Question was on European unity from 1945-1989, and you could hear everyone in the test room freaking out, because we'd all been so busy studying WWI and II that we had no idea about the happening of Europe post WWII. It turned out to be pretty easy though, and I did eh on the rest of the exam. I'm probably looking at a two, hopefully a three. AP tests are graded on a scale of one through five. God, that test was four hours long. I had a blister on the inside of my thumb by the time it was over from writing.

And so, I took the AP Psychology exam this afternoon. I wasn't very worried about this exam, since it's notoriously the easiest one out of all AP exams as long as you've studied all of the vocabulary. Although, since I only got two hours of sleep the night before, I drank sixteen ounces of coffee in the morning, which is a lot for someone that's only exposure to caffeine has ever been occasional chocolate and tea. It made me so incredibly jittery and I was spazzing out a bit for the entire day. I found a good way to study though- I analyzed everything that I did in psychological terms. IE, "By eating these animal crackers, I'm using the defence mechanism of regression to deal with all of my stress, since the little animals give me child-like comfort."

The test turned out to be incredibly easy- I'm very, very confident about my performance. I'm guarranted a four, and I'll honestly be a bit surprised if I don't get a five. I wasn't nearly as confident about our class final (this was the final that I made up in a semi-comatose-state), and I got a four on that- the final was the 2002 AP Psych exam.

This was a longer post than I intended- sorry if I bored anyone with my ramblings.
