aaree... trying to make the statement clear to you freebird, but that is'nt true that indians are'nt good players!!!i totally disaree with that!!! its not the government to be blamed either!!its we who make to govt.remember india is the largest democracy!!
but yes the politicians do interfere in lots of stuff. the main reason ,for indians not into so many sports is because of the type of system we have.frankly speaking there are'nt much opportunity left after a person has chosen the sports stream. the education provided here is only bookish.i should not be saying that its completely bookish but to some extent it is.when a person can only earn better with the knowledge he gains from his or her various graduation courses. well after saying that much i must say i am an indian too!! where r u in india freebird? I love wrestling. I know the WWE is fake but I dont care. Stone cold, and the rock are my favorites. My brother watches it every single time its on, I always make fun of him for it too. Because its a bunch of sweaty guys all over each other. But there are girls too, like whats her name... Stacie? :P OH and wrestling IS a sport. Theres wrestling besides the WWE. :P Maybe its the violence everyone loves. :\IP: Logged |

Stone Cold makes his return on Raw Monday (now on the USA Network)in a three-hour Homecoming show.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

Well Aqua I didn't meant that Indians aren't good players because our poulation is high and if somebody is perticularly trained for it then talented lot would be recognized. quote:

Tell me how many times did you vote ? How many percentage of total population actually vote ? Why India isn't properly organized ( not comparing it to too far away, just neighboring country China)? I know we are responsible but does India has any system where normal people can help. Everybody says nothing better would happen of India but I am still thinking where one would start from.

But that's what in other countries they chose to be a sportsman and then excel it or take it as a permanent profession. They have job for training other students by being P.E. teachers or coach for that sports.Sports is given highest priority in some country and in India it's just an EXTRA CURICCULUM ACTIVITY. I am from Mumbai.Scorp here.Where from Aqua?I would say A/S/L and astro. IP: Logged |

Hey what has ganguly done for the team??The last one day win came around 4 years ago,the natwest trophy, after that its been all wins against zimbabwe and bangladesh... The test matches we won were because of the other players. He is more of a liability to the team,he coudnt put bat on ball in the pakistan series. If he had been an aussie,he would have been chucked out four years ago, look at steve waugh, and no damien martyn, steve waugh failed to take his team to a finals and he was chucked off, damien martyn had just one bad tour after 3 big ones and now he's out off the team, and he's a fantastic player. And I dont think ganguly's captaincy was great, there are many times when he just ****** you off and makes you feel like throwing the remote at your tv,and his favoritism is simply disgusting,he has killed off many good players(hemang badani, etc),even though he has produced good ones(sehwag).... CG: I agree we didn't do anything for India. Aren't we selfish ? Yes we are.We are really lost in daily lives and too busy in our own world. If Indians are in their own dreamy world then it's not good and it's also because people like me really don't know where to start from.I am not a person who is just cursing darkness but just trying to figure out solutions and maybe open eyes of some.I really want to know what you all think. It's easy to blame on system...yes because you have either not seen system and organizing some of the other countries have it. Strong system is one of the sole important thing for a country to be strong. The only thing is that it's such a mess that one wouldn't know where to start from.Any ideas ? Trust me. I would like to listen your take on this.I have ambition and hope to do something better but would love to know where to start from and what people like me can do. I have some suggestions, they might sound little insane. 1) Shoot any politician who is corrupt. In some countries it happens. No kidding. 2)Keep special tests and courses to be a politician ( including ettiquette to behave, give speech, language ability, dressing sense, etc.) and their test to be televised and let viewer choose them just like ( Ms. India). When one can vote for Ms. India why not their Mr.PM or other officers? 3)No Politician with police record can be Politician. Why very far Mr. Arun Gawli is enough.Instead of ration card give everyone multi user ID Cards. Let no immigrants work illegally in India. If you don't have ID Cards you don't get jobs, can't open bank accounts, etc. 4) For every government officers there should be a special tests and should be chosen from not only hundreds but thousands. Not because you have some relations OR because they paid lot of Administration fee but purely on merits . Every government, municipal officer,IT Dept. service is evaluated not by their bosses but by the public with they work with that would help them to be more friendly and respectful. The public should vote on them.I know IT officers who would want money to just find your file. 4) Every record to be computerized from Birth, School Admission, College Admission, Driver License,Marriage,Death Certificate and should be stored in same.It wouldn't be that difficult country which does such work for other countries. This is what I meant about making system stronger. Getting organized and not those pan chabaoos officer who just get lazy.I agree maybe some don't have power but the ones have aren't using it in a right direction. OR Are they so busy with their own politics that they don't have time to use their brains. I would just like to add that there is progress from before and it's progressing but still it's not as fast as it should be and what we could have acheived in few years is going to be decade. For example Sania she is playing good tennis but still some religion organizations have problems with it. I don't mean to say you should modernize and forget your values and so on but it's more of that get organized.Let the real talent get more chances then people who are criminals. IP: Logged |

Personally speaking I don't have anything against Ganguly and I also kind of liek the integrity once he created but now it's all different. SO it shouldn't be HIT or MISS. In fluke it happened it happened.Oh The public is happy then they get so flattered. They don't do anything. To keep someone on toes is improtant and if they can't do it then fire them get new ones. Why same team for 4 years when they don't get a trophy or their performance is below the average. Why this sportsman don't feel the responsibility and step out themselves if they have turned old or don't have same form.Open a coaching or training schools and what you have learnt share it with someone else rather than spoiling Indian Team name in the world sports.I liked what Leander did.If the coach feels they are not prepared mentally then it's coach duty to prepare them.I read it all time they aren't mentally prepare.Complete cr*p. I might sound little too arrogant and blunt but that's because I feel strongly about India and seeing overall India progress. IP: Logged |

first thing first , when i posted the first ( in whose response , u have posted this one) i had a feeling , i had crossed the line . mere ko laga , maine kuch jyada bol diya hai ' thank god ! u didn't take it otherwise . else , a new controversy would have started ( i have afeeling , i should be renamed the controversy man )ok, about your suggestions: quote: Shoot any politician who is corrupt. In some countries it happens. No kidding
'baap re baap, tum to bahut khatarnak ladki ho' but well seriously, this isn't a feasible option , not in a democracy , i feel . i dont think bullet is an answer to anything , though i am myself an aggressive person by nature . if u shoot the corrupts , i'll be on the list too . i have been corrupt in professional realtions , not even planning to change simply b'cos i exploit those who exploit me . business is business . nothing personal . quote: Keep special tests and courses to be a politician
U can't put these tests . with your logic , u'll have to put tests for individual enterprenuers too . because , politicians get voted by the public . its the majority vote , public gets what they vote for . the day public decides , he is out , no certificate of tests would work . my point , the public mindset has to change . when they vote for deve gowda or lalu or mulayam , who do they expect to come and change thier country - kennedy ,huh... quote: No Politician with police record can be
YES . this can work , but will never be applied bcos it has a lot of chances of being misused . even 'JP' had police cases against him . its a different case that they were b'cos indira's peer pressure . not based on reality. quote: For every government officers there should be a special tests and should be chosen from not only hundreds but thousands
Real applicable . good idea.
quote: Sania she is playing good tennis but still some religion organizations have problems with it.
Thats a trivial issue , i feel . and thats not a system problem but a society one . simple way out , dont give these mullahs and pandits such credence that they start controlling your life. just , support sania , she needs our support ! lastly , u dont have to think anything big , start with small things . and believe me, they will make a diffs . i went for a march against babri mosque demolition . though we were not allowed to reach our last point 'india gate ' near president house . it was just a few people , some fifty of us , but i feel we had made our point . i would have liked to continue but i lost contact . its in my mind .
last night i went to see 'iqbal'( the best movie this year , see it , if u haven't ) its tax free , but we paid whole the charge , i am still feeling guilty , why i didn't speak up . my point , start with small things , they make a difference . good luck !!!!! IP: Logged |

as for ganguly 's contribution , he gave india , what india had always lacked - aggressiveness . dont forget , he has been the best captian ever . ever seen a team with such camerderie , remember the tiffs among players during azhar's ( i personally liked him despite the controversy) or even during kapil's . a captain is not about victories only , its also about the way he shapes the team , he personally shaped the team . ok, he did ruin badani's career (in your view) but u got to understand there are only eleven players . whom do u think , he should have shifted out to adjust him or others that u think were ruined by him .i dont think , there was a single player in his team who could have been replaced . as for his performance , he is weak at this point , but then give me a single person who hasn't been through a lean phase . are u sure , dravid would be performing in each match with the captaincy responsbility on him , what if he doesn't . will u ask him to be relaced too . then a new captain would come , take time to understand the team , build repo and emotional bonds . thats not as easy as that sounds , boss . i dont ganguly hasn't been wrong . he should have left the captaincy himself rather than when he was asked to .thats his only mistake . i hope , i dont seem defending the fellow cancer IP: Logged |
