DREAM ONE: The night before last I dreamt that the Scorpio and I got caught in a rainstorm. We both went to a teashop on the second floor of a hotel. He sat facing me. We were wet and just looking at each other. He touched my arm, and then he touched my back. He said, "Butterflies. Do you feel that?" meaning he got butterflies in his stomach when he touched me.

DREAM TWO: I was in the library with the Scorpio and some of our friends, picking out books, and then somehow the library turned into a hiking trip on a beautiful day outside. I was up on a cliffside, mid-hiking, and I lay my head in the Scorpio's lap and went to "sleep", but I wasn't really asleep. He tentatively started to stroke my hair, and then I thought, "I finally have proof that he likes me!" and I put my arms around his leg and then drifted into the most blissful real sleep. A friend of ours came up and lightly made fun of him for stroking my hair, and the Scorpio said, "What? You're acting like I made a comment about her boobs or something." After the friend left, the Scorpio joked that my hair smelled like salt, and I started to pull awway, and he pulled me back and he said, "Lucia. I'm kidding. I'm kidding! Did you think you could scare me away that easily?" Later I was looking up at where we'd been and my backpack and his were there and I saw that we'd been way up high, on a cliff-face, and I was surprised because I'm afraid of heights. (In real life too.)
**************************

Ra or others--interpretation help? In real life, over those two days, I was coming to understand that the Scorpio doesn't want me back at all. That he is the first man I've wanted who has been entirely unattracted to me...I've just been crying and crying...he doesn't even want to just tell me he's not interested, so I can finally believe it and move on, and he wants to be friends, I think, but not really, because he won't call me or email me or arrange to hang out with me...so I've just been crying and crying and trying to walk away. I have been torn between trying to just talk to him to get clarity and closure, and trying to "move on" on my own. He's so good at sending out signals NOT to bring it up with him--this weird ice wall.

I am hoping that understanding the dreams will give insight on what to do.

Especially, what would hair smelling like salt mean? And what would a tea shop mean?

Thanks, artlovesdawn.

I think it's a wish dream too. The problem is that I have these wish dreams about this guy almost every night. They are breaking my heart, because they just make me feel more in love with him at a time when I need to figure out a way to move on! I mean, what's the point of that? It's like I'm subconsciously trying to torture myself!

I'm wondering if anyone can find a secret or hint in the dreams that will help me get it together and have an okay life instead of crying about this guy all the time.

I'm always glad to hear of people meeting and finding love later in life!

Any ideas on what the whole "hair smelling like salt" part of the second dream might mean?

By the way, it's interesting--"Brief Encounter" is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Hello Lucia

I am sorry, I see that I completely missed your dream somehow. I'll have a look just as soon as I can.

Artlovesdawn, thanks for jumping in there! I welcome your thoughts in any string with open arms.

Hello Lucia

I think artlovesdawn did a very good job with the various symbols in the dreams, and my own thoughts are not much different.

The rainstorm reflects the emotions, the tears you have shed concerning the Scorpio, which are currently elevated (second floor) within your psyche. The hotel suggests that this situation/relationship may be a temporary thing, moving in the direction of "less formal but polite society" (teashop), as artlovesdawn suggested.

The second dream suggests that the situation with the Scorpio is creating chaotic, out-of-order feelings that you very much desire to be put back into order and sorted out (library). The dream suggests that this journey that you are on (hike) may be more of a projection of your thoughts/desires (hair), and that the emotional energies that exist on the Scorpio's end are "dried-up". I say "dried-up" because what is left when tears dry? Salt.

So, as you guys surmised, I agree that much of the dreams are wish-fulfillment in nature. I wish I could see something more for you, something to make it easier.

What do you think? How are you doing?

I keep dreaming about the Scorpio every night. I dreamt about him last night.

I really don't understand the point of wish fulfillment dreams. I mean, sure, generally, but having dreams where I'm happily with the Scorpio every night for a year makes no sense. It's like subconsciously torturing myself! Especially when I'm someone who has spent much of my life doing active dreamwork, and I go to bed with the conscious intention to have dreams that will help guide and advise me in what to do in my life, to have the fullest and happiest life possible.

This whole situation mystifies me, because until this point I've had a strong intuition about love and if I've felt a connection with someone, it's been mutual. The dreams strengthen my attraction to the Scorpio...what's the point of that? Why would I subconsciously sabotage myself and try to cause myself pain by exploring a one-sided attraction in my sleep every night?

I really wish I could find some kind of clarity on this situation. I don't understand why I would have wish-fulfillment dreams about it with such frequency, that contain no guidance.
