So many of my dreams spend a significant time in a grocery store (but with a few aisles that many grocery stores wouldn't have). I only rarely shop there, I just happen to be there while other stuff is going on. This includes the parking lot and also the "employees only" area, though it's extremely rare that I'm some kind of employee.

So how do you think I should translate this as? If I knew what it represented, I'd have a much easier time figuring out some of my other dreams.

Ty.

I feel your higher self/guide, that kind of intelligence, is prompting/guiding/drawing your focus, to become more discriminating in what you give your attention to/what attracts you/what tends to lead you 'astray'. The grocery store aisles is about a backlog of conditioning that you have to weigh up with what you truly need and what you truly want.

So yeah unconsciously you are sifting through how advertising, media, peer influences, mother, father, significant others, what you've read, etc, has played a part in the formation of your values and what you find is important or maybe just attractive.

Sometimes we think something is attractive because we think others will find us more attractive, smarter, better, whatever, if we acquire it. Really though, you have learnt something over recent years and subconsciously you have been starting to fine tune your intuition and to really begin work on 'what you truly value' - as in what has lasting value/significance; what is worthy to acquire; what feeds your soul.

The 'parking lot' is 10th house kind of stuff. Questions like: what do you call yourself; what do you 'do'; what kind of status do you have, your achievements, your standing with others in the 'parking lot' - do you measure up to fellow adults in your gender; do you measure up to the adult you thought you would be.

The 'employees only' makes you wonder, do I fit perfectly with some kind of vocation that I hadn't thought about or thought possible- you wonder if there is some fantastic clique of fellow employees waiting for you in a perfect daily job for you. Some new arena/group where you can exercise your personality, your ability, brilliance whatever and have others around to interplay with and expand your life by developing work/social relationships with them.

So I would say you may even have transits to your 10th/MC, your 1st/AC, and probably your 2nd(values, mine, productivity) and probably to Venus. Jupiter might also be involved because you are thinking outside your square, so to speak.

Thanks Chryseis.

That's interesting given some of the things to happen in that store. For example, these enigmatic "higher powers" that love to test me all the time in dreams get me there at times.

In one example, I was with my dad who was a cop for some reason. I also had a little brother (he's been in other dreams, and in still others he's actually my son--not that I have any younger siblings or children). There was this barrel of I think plastic rings, and those unseen powers manifested, with my dad and I were both granted 3 wishes to use whenever. I pulled Dad away because I didn't trust it. But one of the first things he did in the parking lot was wish for a new model hot fire engine red Corvette. I ticked him off by jumping in it myself and taking off, but I only drove around the block before coming back and letting him drive. But after awhile it turned back into his usual car, which upset him greatly.

We then found that my "little brother" was dead in the store and he wished him back alive. I used a wish of mine to "make it permanent" so that it wouldn't be like with the car. And it lasted much longer (we even went to Disneyland and had fun), but at some point we were back in the store and he was dead in a buggy. Dad threw his badge at the other cops there and left. He wasn't in my dream anymore after that.

I went outside and wished to understand why the powers had given us these wishes (if it was bad, I was gonna use the last wish to wish they'd never given us the wishes). I DID know, but like the other wishes, it was only temporary and I forgot. There was something of a sense of them wanting to see what we would do with these wishes, but that's all I can recall, and that it was harmless (ie, there was no debt we owed for these wishes, and as it was always temporary no permanent harm could come from it, etc). And as dawn broke, I wished I could fly, floating down gently when the wish ran out of time. And in so doing I flew out of the store into the parking lot and flew around until I gently landed and then I woke up.

Not that these powers are in every store dream. They're actually pretty rare no matter what (and there are usually dragons involved in dreams where they appear, both good & bad, sometimes my riding a dragon or turning into one, for some reason). Most store dreams are pretty mundane, if just odd in how much takes place there.
