I dreamt I was on a really high mountain with my cat and with some people I consider close to me.My cat started to chase a butterfly and she eventually ran off the edge of the mountain. I then put her in box looking for help. Anyone have any thoughts? ---------------------------------------

This absolutely seems like it could be a symbolic dream...
My interpretation;
A close friends/the cat of yours has a large fear/moutains that is causing
him to wander away towards better impression/creativity/resolution/the butterfly. He fails to resolute this
fear/falls, losing status/failure to achieve goals. You notice this, and
help him by protecting him or keeping him safe in some way. Falling - failure to achieve goals/loss of status in the eyes of another,overcoming adversities,etc..
Mountains can represent many ideas.
1. It could be problems that must be surmounted. 2.Hope for the future. 3. Female sexuality. 4. A fear of something that is large, such as elephants.
Cats represent 1. someone or something clever, quick or alert. 2. A companion/friend.
Butterflys represents 1. desire to enhance one's image or impression
(not exclusively by a female), 2. reluctance to commit, settle down. 3. Creativity 4. Frivolity.
5. Transformation. 6. Metamorphosis,etc.. Box could represent containing emotions or aspects of personality, death,womb .. protection.
