I'm very in touch with my dreams and hallucinations. I lucid dream a great deal and actually find exploring the subconscious to be a highly fascinating, enlightening and necessary part of existence.

Last night I had a few dreams and visions, the one that stuck with me was related to a white cat. I was lucid dreaming and lying in my bed and it was daylight/dawn. The streets outside of my home were being paved in the dream, there was a man outside of my window about 40 feet away sweeping the street in a white shirt. And on my lawn right outside of my window was a white cat covered in fluffy fur shaking it's fur as a light breeze blew by and the sun shinned on it making it's fur shimmer lightly. The cat then proceeded to climb up the side of my house till it reached the balcony. It was odd because it did so very easily and the balcony's pretty high. I was surprised it managed that. Well I got out of bed and moved toward the balcony part of the window looking up at the white cat and it disappeared. A few moments later the white cat appeared completely shaved. All it's fur was gone, it was still white though, just with minimal fur. The cat had disappeared and transformed. It was suddenly naked or released from the fur that had warmed it from the blowing breezes.

I noticed that the cat seemed content, not scared or startled by it's new look. It was very weird. Then I willed myself awake from the dream.

Any thoughts on white cats in dreams? Specifically this dream? Some say white cats represent purity and peace and good luck, others say they represent difficult times to come and a need to release tightly stored or repressed emotions. And some others say it might be a representation of a spiritual awakening. Any insight would be helpful.

"Jungians see the cat as representing a deep psychological secret, a hidden side of ones nature, the shadowy less obvious or outwardly displayed side of your nature.."

...Dream symbolism....
To dream of the color white is symbolic of exclusivity, the new world, appeal, protest, reform, miscarriage succession, virginity, purity, simplicity, justice, and innocence. The cat may have novel significance depending on whether you are a cat lover or not.

The cat is a symbol of sexuality, femininity, prosperity and power. A cat is an independent animal, and in your dream you may be associating yourself or someone else with these characteristics. Usually the dream is telling you about yourself and not others.

A white cat signifies that you are currently experiencing difficult times. To dream of a clean white cat, denotes entanglements which will prove a source of sorrow and loss of wealth.
