WEll, the dream I had last night, felt like I was falling into the rabbithole. Though it was so amazingly clear and REAL because of the physical sensations.

The thing is even though the dream was so clear, the man who played the main part evades my recognition. though I know I know him. And I knew who he was in the dream, and then when waking up the knowledge started to slip away, though I can feel it is just beyond the surface of my consciousness.

the dream started at night in my current home. I suddenly had the feeling I HAD to leave it and go somewhere, IMMEDIATELY.
When I got out of the door the parking place was covered all in white. It had been snowing (at the end of june!). It looked like nice snow though, very beautiful, smooth and immaculate.
I knew though it would be slippery, as the street is a tad downhill, and I was having only slippers on. But instead of turning back to get outdoor shoes, I tried carefully walking down to the street. Of course I started to slide, and in a real quick pace; what surprised me though was that first of all I did not lose balance and fell, but instead it was even fun sliding down to the street. And then when I had arrived there I was suddenly somewhere else.

In a tavern.
It was very very crowded. Must have been some kind of festival there or even outside. I slipped out of the tavern, and found myself on a huge lawn, in broad daylight.
There were even MORE people out there, and I think most of them wanted to get to the gate to enter the official festival-location (it was a glassy door in the middle of the lawn in some distance).
it must have been an important festival (for some reason just now Glastonbury was flashing through my mind.), there was also a lot of celebrities visiting there. I remember to have spotted Robert Downey Jr in a distance (yeah HIM I remember! ). As I was making my way through the crowd, someone suddenly tapped my shoulder, and the man whose name I currently do not remember asked me if I could show him how he could get to the entry gate. For some reason I knew my ways around there better than he did apparently. Well, I said I would and started moving again. I did not really pay that much attention to him, just turning around now and then to see if he could follow me. Most of the time he was a little behind me (I was almost rude, wasn`t I? not even wanting to make small-talk. lol).
Anyway when I had arrived shortly in front of the gate (with just a few people in front of us), I noticed that the gates had JUST closed for a short break and would open in a short while again. It would have ben easy to climb over the fence on the side though. Not that I planned to. But I thought that if he asked he certainly would be allowed to enter there. Being VIP and all. I turned around to see how far he had fallen back; but as a matter of fact he had already caught up with me (almost sneaked up on me) and when I turned around, he was standing directly in front of me. I told him that we were almost there and he could most certainly get an extra-allowance to enter. But he refused to and said he would instead be waiting with me for it to open again. And then he kissed me. Just a quick kiss. I was taken by surprise, of course. This definitely came unexpected, especially in such a public place. But I thought he had just been acting on impulse and it didn`t mean anything. So I turned around again and wanted to move on. But he grasped the wrist of my right hand and not letting go of it (and his hands were really big), and when I turned to him once more, totally surprised and startled and wanting to ask him why he had clasped my wrist, he kissed me again. And to be honest I STILL remember the feeling of his stubbles on my skin. And I obviously kissed him back.
And the most embarassing thing about it was tha the crowd around us started clapping and cheering. Okay, I am NOT one for public display of affection like this. lol

Anyway even before the gates opened, I suddenly was back on my street (just without the snow) at night again. Must have been almost midnight. (I felt a bit like Alice falling into the rabbithole. lol).
Someone was beside me having his arm wrapped arond me, and I can`t even tell you if it was the SAME man!

A dog crossed our path, a really HUGE dog, almost like a wolf. As a matter of fact I have dreamed of the dog before (and the tavern). Well, the dog bit my wrist, or actually it didn`t really bite it (it did not hurt), it clasped it with his teeth and would`nt let go of it, until I carefully but determined freed my arm myself. It wsa actually easy to do it, all it needed was stroking the dog a little. lol
Well, and then I was seeing there was still light in the kitchen/ livingroom of my parents (for some reason I was back living in my room on the second floor on the house, as I did as a teenager.), but there was noone there. It seemed they had been leaving the light on for me, and I decided to sneak the man at my side up into my room.

----------------

The strange thing is that the first and third part which took place in my actual physical environment felt much more surreal than the middle part. THAT middle part felt totally real.

...Dream Symbolism...

To dream of falling into a rabbit hole may be an awakening for you or a subconscious chance/hope to get out and expose yourself to new interests and activities. Alternatively, the dream may be a pun on "wholeness' or completeness or
experiencing pitfalls in waking situations.

I agree with Desiring Shadows on the general meaning of the dream as there is plenty of support in the details. We can try to find more information by exploring these details.

It seems that there is something impending, soon to happen, or something in which you will need to quickly act upon (sudden feeling you had to leave). The emphasis on white (covered in white) in this case suggests newness or awareness. Alchemically, white represents new knowing.

You may be or feel unprepared for the steps you will need to take(slippery/improper shoes) but as you do so will find you can easily handle it (did not lose balance). It may be necessary to leave your comfort zone in order to arrive at the destination indicated by the dream.

As you have dreamed of the tavern before, it probably symbolizes that portion of your unconscious landscape/architecture which relates to socialization/recreation. In this dream, it appears that you have "traveled" there to meet someone, either astrally or psychically.

The door/gate is a symbol of transition, in this case probably into something new. Just like Alice in Wonderland, getting through this closed door may symbolize some difficulty making a change or transition within self. However, you seem to realize that it is only a matter of time before the door will open. Also, this door/transition may not be yours entirely, as you are assisting this man in getting through. Perhaps it is for the both of you. It could be suggested that you are going to help another in his change/transition, which in turn will help self. The kiss you are given could suggest a sharing of energies with another, but interestingly, in keeping with the Alice/fairy-tale theme, this kiss could also represent an awakening (as in Snow White) which we have also seen symbolized by snow, white (Snow White?), the door, and going from night to day.

Your right hand/wrist represents masculine aspects, such as action. The dream could be suggesting that you are/will be acted upon by a man, or that perhaps you need to take certain action. Maybe you need to "take hold" of a situation and act on it, or maybe a situation/person is "taking hold" of you, preventing or forcing you to act. Whichever the case, it seems that once you "awaken" (kiss) or take action in that direction, all parts of your psyche (crowd) will "cheer".

Just before you make this transition (before gates opened) and "awaken" (back to street/night/almost midnight (just like Cinderella)), your unconscious is suggesting that you will need to use your intuition/instinct (dog). It seems that this dog is telling you to "get a hold" (bites hand) of your instincts, to trust your instincts/intuition (easy to release "bite" by stroking). You might consider the dog to be a guide of sorts, prodding you to use your instincts/intuition concerning this situation/person that is or will be presenting itself.

The last scene seems to suggest "coming home", or realizing some aspect of yourself as a result of going through the alluded to transition.

So this dream can be seen as solely a personal journey into a new awareness of self, or we could speculate that a person, a man, could perhaps be coming into your experience. The details suggest that you will be helping yourself at the least, or maybe even helping this man "pass through the door", and then do so together.

What do you think? Has anything occurred or is anything happening that fits this dream?

Walk in Peace

I see a lot of symbolism and meaning here but I do not have time to explain it right now. I will come back to this. Very interesting dream!

As an FYI, snow is affliction and I think Ra hit on the meaning of wearing house slippers and them being inadequate for your downhill ride which was more like fun to you than it was a challenge. A dog biting you is gossip by one you trust but you handled him/her well by stroking their ego until they backed off, didn't even hurt you anyway.

There's more but I don't have time. I'll come back to this later.
