I dreamt a friendly crow came into my bedroom by the window that was left open and I hawked at it to go outside because I was doing something else or was paying attention to something else. Something to note is that when I hawked at it to go outside I sounded just like a crow I said "gawwkk!" lol. IP: Logged |

Wow. Crow speak!------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Rofl! Unusual--but nice dream! Haha....Dream Symbolism... Crow in a dream represent death, darker aspects of your character/human nature, annoying habits, messages to the subconscious. To dream of a happy crow indicates that you have a unique outlook and perspective on romance and love.
Open windows represent your outlook on life, your consciousness, your point of view, intuition and awareness. You may be reflecting on a decision. Or you need to go out into the larger world and experience life. If you are looking in the window, then it indicates that you are doing some soul searching and looking within yourself. IP: Logged |

Hello uranusingleton Very interesting dream! It is short and simple, but I can't help but to see a couple of layers of meaning in the symbols, possibly. Generally, I agree with Desiring Shadows' meanings, and I would like to see if we can make sense of how it all fits together. There is a sort of common thread with the symbols in this dream. The bedroom is where we sleep and so is the place where we receive messages from our unconscious via our subconscious. It can also be a place representing rest, escape, or intimacy. An open window suggests an opening in awareness or consciousness. A crow, while traditionally a symbol of a "death" or an ending of some sort (usually a relationship or situation, not a person), is an aspect of self as well as the bearer of messages from your unconscious. So we have here three main symbols, the crow, the bedroom, and the window, all of which can symbolize different levels of conscious awareness. The unconscious (crow), the subconscious (bedroom), and conscious awareness (open window). In this view we could say that a message from your unconscious (crow) is attempting to reach into your subconscious (bedroom) to make you more aware of it (window). However, you are not getting the message ("I was doing something else or was paying attention to something else"/"I told it to leave"). So what is the message? Perhaps we can get an idea if we peel back the first layer of meaning. It could be suggested that some relationship or situation is coming to an end (crow) and you need to be aware of it (window), possibly so that you can take advantage of whatever new comes out of it. Or perhaps you are trying to escape from some situation (bedroom) by simply ignoring it (paying attention to something else/ask it to leave) and yur unconscious (crow) is trying to wake you up (window). Whatever is going on, the dream is saying that you are not paying enough attention to it, and perhaps do not even want to acknowledge it, but that it would benefit you to do so. Does any of this strike a chord with you? Any idea what it is all about? Thank you for sharing your dream. IP: Logged |

Windows are also symbolic to computers. Maybe the message was simply to pay closer attention to something or to pay attention more to something you are pushing off until another time? Is there a doctor's appointment or checkup you've been brushing off and putting off until later? Has something been bothering you about yourself physically that you are brushing off as nothing? Or maybe it is another person who is doing this and you are not paying attention to it? ------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. The Truth is the answer to everything. IP: Logged |
