This isn't like any other dream I've had.
It starts out where I'm at a party with my brother and sister. I see them around here and there, but I find my brother lying in the dirt. He's fine, but he's just laying there.
Then it goes to where I'm in high school. This is where it gets weird. I'm in the Japanese culture and anime club, but for some reason or another, it's been taken over by a mafia club. When I walk in for a meeting, I find it's turned into something of a party that reminded me of The Great Gatsby. Something told me I had to leave, and I found the 'resistance'. I joined, but I couldn't let anyone find out, so I kept going to the mafia club so no one would suspect anything. But I knew I couldn't stay after they attempted to rape two of their own members; an older lady and who I'm guessing was her granddaughter. It was in the courtyard of the school, behind a bush. I knew they were in trouble when the girl tried to take out one of the guys by hitting him in the head with a sword. It broke in half, but then the lady fought back. I helped them to escape, but I was followed. I got what few members of the resistance to defend against the attack while everyone else was away. We survived, just barely, and just after that, a man who was poorly dressed in drag and an old friend of mine appeared before us. He greeted me only, completely ignoring everyone else, and he had this... somewhat seductive look on his face, while the man asked me if I would spy on the mafia club. Everyone reminded him that I just barely missed failure, and I woke up.
I really don't know what to make of this.

Has something fun and light (anime) changed into something heavy and oppressive (mafia)?

It's hard to say really...
As of now, nothing's really going on.
But that day I was sort of thinking back to my past.

I'm not really sure what to think. For some reason this dream is just not clicking with me. I wish I could give you some more ideas.

Maybe someone else will have some thoughts.
