Alright, so I know I haven't posted here in a while, but I'm back with something unexpected.

My lover had returned from training for some sort of track event. To celebrate, everyone was going to get together and celebrate this rite. It was in the middle of a forest at night, I want to say with a full moon as well. The ceremony was on Midsummer, which isn't that far away from now, and I was getting married to him as part of it. During the ceremony, a priestess held this scepter that gave off incense, and she went about purifying the area around us. I don't remember what happened after that exactly, aside from what usually happens during a wedding, but afterwards, everyone just started having fun. I sat with my lover and got to meet his family; parents, an older sister and two brothers, one of which had returned from training with him. According to what they told me, they choose twelve or sometimes thirteen of the best runners to compete in these games, and that the chosen were to be informed later that night. After that, I went around trying to find my family, but the only person I found was my mother, who told me that she never thought I would make it, but I had done well. What she really meant though, was that she was happy for me, which really made me happy in the dream, because I always had the feeling (I still do) that no matter what I did, my mother would always seem disappointed. Later, his sister told me he was chosen, and that his brother was perhaps his only rival.
The next day, I was with my love and his family and friends, who introduced me to some sort of ritual. They would gather together and dance to the beat of drums in preparation for what might have been the games, but I'm not certain. I was facing our opponent (I was involved somehow, probably because I was the leader(?)'s wife) and he told me of some relics or a jewel, or something, and told me it was hidden in the depths. I looked around and realized we were at an ancient coast. I don't remember where, but for some reason I think it was the Ancient Arabic coast line. While they were in battle (I think), I saw a golden nugget glittering right under an underwater ledge by a cavern on the shore. When I dove to get it though, I woke up.------------------

His family is odd, as he doesn't have any sisters at all, and when he introduced me to their rites, he said something about his ancestors. They did these rites, or he learned from them, or the others are, I haven't a clue.
Midsummer, June 21 this year is after my Birthday (June 20), and I feel like the priestess could have been my other half... This is the only way I can explain it; the post after GabbyAccording to lore, during Midsummer, the Oak King must defeat his opponent the Holly King to enter Hieros Gamos with the Goddess, and the Goddess is pregnant with their son, the new God. Only difference is, I cannot get pregnant. Aside from that though, I can't help but feel as though there are strong parallels (there probably are). Can anyone help me here please? ------------------

Please read it as an opinion:
The picture of the full moon in a dream promises luck in all situations. The dreamer should only watch out not to overestimate himself independently and to become presumptuously concerning what he has already reached in the life. In some midsummer festivals bonfires were lit to protect against evil spirits which were believed to roam freely when the sun was turning southward again.
This dream indicates the inner challenge (=competition, battle) to unite (=marriage, ritual) and feel accompanying (=lover, family).

I like it  Hello Sailor Gemini  Similarly, I think the dream indicates transition in your life (rite/ritual), perhaps from inner challenge (competition/battle) to inner/outer unity (marriage). The Priestess could very well be a part of yourself. She could be your inner Priestess, an aspect of your higher self who is facilitating this transition, which will culminate with the discovery of something precious within yourself (golden nugget), some enlightenment or completion. Alchemically, gold is the final stage of transformation. Make any sense? If this is about the relationship … How is the relationship with the boyfriend? Serious? Have you found Mr. Right(rite)?

Oh my Gods, that does make sense. I was planning on asking for support from my mom on something really important as of now. I guess that's why she was there. The priestess could have been dispersing any of my own doubts and fears about it, and as for my relationships... it's complicated, but I'm determined to make it work between us. So, I'm guessing it's safe to say I'll have some success with everything. ^-^
