i seem to have a lot of ghost dreams.. its a common theme ive been having for years and my dreams settings seem to have a similar pattern sometimes too, being in the mountains.. on a high beach, water in the form of oceans, rivers or flooded streets. the ones in particular I'm curious about though.. is ill always have a haunted dream when i dream of being in my old house i grew up in as a child before my mom got remarried. its always in her room, and sometimes ill forget then ill start to remember that the room is haunted. ill see the ghost as static or orbs, all the electronic things in the room will start to go off and ill get these crazy sensations in my dream like the ghosts are touching me and ill feel all prickly. when i was a child growing up in the home.. there really were 2 shadow entities, ghosts.. or whatever that were cleansed when i was around 8-9. ive had other dreams where ghosts will just come into a room or a house, sometimes i leave them alone, sometimes they scare me, sometimes ill talk to the ghosts. i mainly just want to know what the meaning of ghosts are.. its hard to find an interpretation that even resonates.. a lot of them talk of actual ghosts of dead people but they aren't anyone i know.. i mean.. could it literally mean my own ghosts? repressed feelings.. ive heard houses represent the person.. but i don't want to represent my old home. just not sure IP: Logged |

Maybe someone is trying to reach you and have difficulty in doing so? Maybe you have a hard time seeing that person(s) clearly? Maybe the room means you are stuck in the same bad (if you have any) route and it is draining you? maybe it is something or someone from your past you have to face but have been scared to do so? The prickley feeling might mean some people close to you is making you feel bad and is not good for you ? I am not sure what ghosts dreams means but i think they can also mean you might be in a confusing blurry situation in your life, or it can mean you and someone else might have difficulty reaching each other.

yeah it could be, that's why it makes me wonder.. because clearly I'm not getting something if I keep getting these dreams! I feel like the ghosts could represent apart of myself I'm suppressing? there was some abuse and trauma in that house.. its where I grew up as a child and my grandparents still live in that house. also, I think it does have some sort of negative ghost entity that lingers around there? whatever it is, maybe its just psychic impressions, but theres a residue of it. sometimes Ill think I'm having contacts in my dreams, but they feel so much different! like my ghost dreams vary in feeling.. and the prickly feeling could be maybe I'm around people who make me feel bad.. its hard for me to tell honestly. its been happening for so long, I have the wildest dreams. super trippy and surreal. Hello BeholdAstarte  Headintheclouds has some good thoughts.  These dreams suggest you are "haunted" by some emotional energy, attitude, circumstance, or outdated behavior that has its roots in the past (childhood home) and likely has something to do with your mother (her room). What issue have you brought with you from your childhood that affects you still? What are you holding on to? Or what is holding on to you? I agree with you that this is about the suppression of some aspect of self. What could it be?  IP: Logged |

I will second that!I put ghosts in a dream as a symbol of the shadow self of my personal existence in the first place.
Ghosts can encounter a dream as well and those dreams are a little bit different in my opinion. IP: Logged |

thank all of you for the responses, i really appreciate your outlooks and opinions in helping to figure out my dreams.. hello RA! what our saying makes a lot of sense, its weird to me when i think of my traumas still "haunting" me in a sense and especially with my mom.. i try to work on it so much i just hope that I'm over it.. but its never that easy now is it? a part of me is thinking it has something to do with my childhood feelings of loneliness? and from my mom always being gone, maybe that innate insecurity inside myself isn't really gotten over? i do feel like its deep rooted, in my relationships where i have a hard time connecting and trusting others, always figuring ill be alone in the end anyways.. it def effects my relationships. almost like chronic worrying that people wont like me, will leave or see something bad in me.. i love my mom so much i wouldn't hold her responsible for those feelings because i know she did her best for me and was young and alone in a country she had never been in before. its hard to face.. thank you for you input @geminikat yeah i agree with you on both, i think these particular ghost dreams are my shadow although ive had other dreams where I'm pretty sure ive contacted some sort of fragment.. not necessarily a ghost tho. thanks again IP: Logged |
