Hello

Does anyone have any insight into what an upstairs bathroom might represent in our dreams?

I have dreamt of an upstairs bathroom a couple times recently, and in both dreams there was an evil entity of sorts that was after me.

In the first dream I found shelter in the upstairs bathroom and I took a shower.

Last night there was a shadow man in the upstairs bathroom. He was evil and there were other dark entities in the front yard of the house. I was able to escape to my car and get away.

Perhaps I need to do something cleansing or release negative thoughts? I just find it interesting that an upstairs bathroom has been present in these two dreams.

One thing I just realized as I was thinking through this was the first dream where I found shelter in the shower - the person that was after me returned to my dreams 2-3 nights ago and was still being nasty to me. And then soon after the upstairs bathroom theme presents itself again. It seems somewhat correlated.

Perhaps I will go purchase some black obsidian lol.

Maybe you are trying to wash away your worries. Or - you understand what scares you comes from within, so you try to purify yourself. Think of it - someone scares you, and in order to make him go away you take a shower. So even if it's an external threat, you may feel you attract that threat because of not being clean or pure enough. You mentioned the menace was also waiting for you near the shower. Maybe you're a bit worried of the shower itself? Or you may feel the threat is close, 'cause it's already inside. Maybe it is yourself you fear from.
If you wanna use an obsidian, or any stone for protection, go ahead. It could be you acknowledge within some inner negativity you need to work with. I think you can indeed work with it, instead of running away from it. It may have a connection to your door dreams.

What do you think?

Along with Ayelet, I've been pondering parts of this dream.

(Have also kept in consideration the other couple of Astral Realms posts you've done during this period of time).

QUESTIONS
I'd like to ask about --
the house,
the yard, and
the car.

Was there anything 'familiar' to you with any of those?

For example,
Did you ever stay in, live in, or own a house like the one in the dream?

If so, please relate your 'age' or events that occurred in your life about (each of) those, including what your pervasive 'feelings' were during those times?

Was the 'front yard' somewhat familiar to you?

Did you ever drive a car like your get-away car?

Or, did anyone you know drive a car like that one, or that same color, etc.?

Emotions you feel with 'each' symbol can reveal keys to their meanings.

Like Ayelet suggested...

What are you running from (even possibly spiritually {upper floor} trying to by-pass) that is trying to get into your grounding fields of perception right now?

(music) Dream A Little Dream .. of "me?" (The Beautiful South) [3:51] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1s8vfihMbA

I know that we are asking you to do a lot of work?

We appreciate whatever it is you'd like to share.. whether a little or a lot; or even, n.o.y.b.!! (smiling) *heart-hug*

Thank you so much for the thoughtful replies!

You both have really helped me to organize some of these thoughts and better understand what it means. I have been pondering this the last couple of days...

The shower is a "safe space" for me. It is where I go to hide in waking life to "get away from it all" or just to find some peace and quiet and be in solitude. I have done this since I was a child. I do think the shower helps me to purify myself and release negative thoughts.

I feel like I may be running away from something internally. In these dreams I have been running away. Perhaps the dream where I was not able to escape to the shower means I cannot hide - I must face that which I fear. When I am in the shower I don't have to worry about anything, I just get to be absorbed in the moment of the warm and purifying waters.

Mirage, Yes - the house/layout was similar to a childhood home of mine as well as the yard. I lived there during some tumultuous times in my teen years. The car was not familiar to me - I remember even thinking this during the dream that I had no idea whose car this was. It was a tan sedan.

As I write this out, I think I may be running away from my emotions. I buried my emotions deep within me (or "locked" them up) when I was growing up as self-preservation. It is a bad habit I am working on. My husband helps me a lot - he can't keep anything bottled up for more than 3 seconds So he makes me talk about things but even then I lie sometimes and say "I'm fine, nothing is wrong" to avoid it, so many times I find myself keeping a lot to myself as to not burden others with negativity. I feel like everyone has so much going on in their lives that they are already struggling with, who am I to add on to that? But I know that's not healthy and that people like helping others and that it's ok to let your guard down.

Ok, this was very therapeutic. I already feel lighter in my chest. Thank you for the links and the heart hugs!! I will check those out and will also try to be more open and honest with my emotions

You've got a perceptive patient and caring husband?!!

Wonderful! ...
Part of the "locked up" emotions might belong to your Capricorn stellium planets.

'Venus-Saturn' Capricorn.. love (or rewards, materials) were restrained or restricted in your earliest years.
.. Psychologically, the act of "receiving" comes with an underneath sense you'll lose it? Grew up viewing affection as something that comes coupled with loss?

Some people with this (unconsciously) constantly "prove"/test the people in their life to see if they still love them.
{ref. Betty Lunstead}

You are now finishing transit of Saturn coming over your Uranus. That comes with events not in your control that can cause a LOT of steady tension. If you don't find a way to 'use' that energy (relieve the tension) it can even turn 'physical'.
{bears, upstairs toilet, trying to get clean}
.. Another thing?.. You're coming up on transiting Saturn to conjunct your Sun. Another reason to guard your health and stress.
{ref. Robt Hand}

If your husband is 'sensing' that you need to relieve some pressure by expressing emotions, then WOW, you've got a GOOD guy. LET him be and DO that for you. He knows you.

Share your emotions (as well as spiritual and practical things) with him. It's an important part of your emotional health and well-being.

You wouldn't be having this dream, if you weren't READY to talk with him about it. Trust him. Let him help you... he's your life-partner.

They say that sex is the glue that keeps a marriage together. Well... So is forming a DEEPER emotional exchange. You'll make a DEEPER bond if you allow self to be vulnerable?

Are you "able" to share with him?
Is there a 'reason' why you don't that is an 'outside' reason (versus, you're feeling locked into yourself, internally).

This dream "could" be you needing to have some time and attention with your partner, and to discuss how you've been feeling. The 'negative thoughts'??, hmmmm ,,, maying these are "emotions" you need to express. Not mental, but emotional?

Don't lie to him. TALK about it.

Mirage - you are simply the best! I have been thinking of your kind replies for the last few days and really took it to heart. Thank you so much.

You are right - I am ready to talk and share and it is okay to be vulnerable - especially with my life partner.

Vulnerability is not something that comes easy to me! But it is important for me to work on. And I really do have a great partner to help me along the way, and for that I am very grateful.

A few nights ago I brought up some "heavier" topics that had been weighing on me. When I opened up my husband urged me to share with him right away rather than hold it in next time. And I do indeed feel it brought us closer together And I definitely know I feel 1000x better.

I think I have been a little on edge with Saturn transiting my Cap planets coupled with the anticipation of the Saturn return.

I had another door/lock dream on Saturday night. This time it took place at my father's house. There was a group of men chasing me and I ran up the stairs and into my father's room. He has this heavy duty lock on his door that requires a code, so I figured I would be safe in there. However, the men were able to get through the door and so I called '911'! I gave the operator my father's address and the men stopped chasing me once they realized I called for help. And then everything was okay and I was no longer being chased.

When I searched for dream interpretations with calling '911' I found a lot of dreams where dreamers were not able to get through. As I was able to speak with the operator and receive help, to me it seems like a good dream. I think I need to continue to work on expressing/being honest with my emotions, allowing myself to be vulnerable, and asking for help when I need it:

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye
shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

And to share some lovely synchronicity with you... my favorite artist is Salvador Dali. My husband was looking for a print to gift me, and of all the prints he chose "Mirage"

^ awwwwwww. Salvador Dali's "Mirage." You touched my heart!
http://www.dalipaintings.com/mirage.jsp

"The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad;
and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose."
- Isaiah 35:1 RSV

Being chased in your dreams is your unconscious telling you that you are avoiding something in waking life. Represents anxiety, afraid to face something that is chasing you down at this point. Coming to the point of great urgency that you deal with it (911).

Again, you had SUCCESS in the dream, AND protection by the police and your own Father.

Your unconscious knows the code for you to pick the lock, have success.

Stop running. Face the situation.

Your husband wants to continue to help you!! (Fantastic!!! that you spoke with him and you found yourselves closer.) Definitely, talking with someone who LOVES you, helps HIM-- He probably picks up that there's something IN you, and when you don't 'talk' about it when he asks, then that is a form of rejection.

(I'm too sleepy to write all the things I'd planned here.. Gotta go to bed right now.)

Have a GOOD sleep.

IF *they* start to chase you again in the dream, then TURN AROUND and ASK them what they have to say to you. You might be surprised!!
(You could even journal it, doing an 'interview' of them. Or! set up pillows on a sofa, pretend it's them, and ASK them what they want to tell-- then listen inside for the answers. Write it down.)

Might be like this song... (friendly!)

(music) Beep Beep {aka Little Nash Rambler} (The Playmates, 1958) [3:17] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enqNl7tdLR4

I absolutely love the idea of asking them "why are you chasing me!!!" If the theme presents itself again I shall try that.

I have not had any more chasing/lock dreams since Which makes me really happy. I feel I have made progress. And I have noticed true tangible progress in my relationship and home life. Things that were bothering me and negatively affecting me are being addressed and I feel I have found a voice that was fighting to break free!

Thanks for the verse and song, brought a big smile to my face
