Friends,
I am from an Army background hence have heard of war very frequently since India and pakistan just won't quit on the border issue. My father used to go for WAR. I have friends who lost their loved ones in war. I know people who got disabled and so on and so forth. For that matter I wanted so badly to join the army those were my spirits. But when an actual war comes up it gives me chills thinking about the casualties and deaths. I pray so hard that the war can be avoided.
What are your thoughts about the WAR??? How long do you think it will go???
Would this war be beneficial to US and UK since they are going to take the hits as far as deaths and casualities go???
The only benefit anyone is going to get out of this is "decrease in OIL prices".
just my thoughts
with prayers for men and women at war
Nikky

No body thats sane looks forward to war, having spent 27 years in the military, I can tell you that its the last choice.

That said, In my opinion, this war is necessary.

My prayers are with the guys and gals in our forces and our allies forces. Hopefully, it will be a fast war, and peace will be coming quickly thereafter.

Ya know I think I'm beginning to change my views. This war is unfounded. I think we should leave Saddam in power to build more weapons of mass destruction. And to hell with it if he's killing his own people. If he should launch any kind of attack on America or better yet his neighbors we should just sit back and let it happen. The US should just start minding it's own business. We should stop getting involved in foreign affairs and such and just tell people in other countries to deal with their own stuff. I also think we should close up shop as far as letting more immigrants in........let them stay where they are. Better yet let the American haters come here and kill us all off, I mean afterall....... it sucks here and so does our government

Alena, im sorry but i see that as a them or us comment and i dont support that at all. I am personally not pro saddam, and i dont think anyone here is. No he should not be left in power, i also dont think there is anyone here who thinks that he should be. No we shouldnt sit back. But i dont think we should attack first and think of the consequenses later. and gosh do you really think that disarming Saddam will stop Terroist attacks? I think not. They used planes in september 11 they used fertillizer in balli...

Please dont take offense sweetie... its just my opinion...

You said we shouldn't leave him in power and I was just going to ask how you think we should remove him if not by force....... but I digress.

Please don't take offense, but I hate being called sweetie.

PS -- didn't want to leave you with the wrong impression but I had someone who used to call me that, condescendingly,so that's why I don't like it.

Alena, im sorry, i didnt mean it in a condescending way at all. Yikes by making sure you were not offended it looks like i offended you anyway sorry, and thanks for letting me know!

I dont have a magical answer as to how to take him out of power... but i dont think attacking his people is going to hurt him in the least... hes been doing it all along.

Looks like we've just had the first American/british casualties and it makes me feel ill. My partner served in the army for 4 years and he said if they ask for volunteers to go to war then he will go. That makes me feel sicker than ever. I love our soldiers as they are protecting my freedom and my right to live the life I want but when it comes this close to home it makes you pray like mad for a quick resolution which I don't think will happen.

So much love and light to everyone in the world at this time

Yeah i have some friends that are off fighting at present, they are parra-troopers. I share your love for the troops and what they are fighting for, but i just dont think they should have too. I hope for a quick resolution also.

I just heard on FoxNews Channel that they think Saddam is dead or injured. The video is not him, but his body double. This was verified by his mistress who took a lie detector test and it proved she was telling the truth. They are also saying that the Iraqi army is very weak and lacking direction.

This is such a nebulous situation, just don't know.

I am so sad about the loss of the 16 American/British men. They said it was equipment failure. Just makes me heartsick.

Jax, they have been telling us on FoxNews about the Australian troops over there, so yes, they are broadcasting it here in the States.

To plagiarise is to copy someone elses work and submit it as your own. I don't see anybody here doing that.

Or is that what you've been doing???
