but not all of us have those nice Lionine barriers to our egos, that help it handle everything it dishes out when it is sent back at them. a little empathy here for those of us more sensitive then that

i do find it interesting though, that of the two topics not to be spoken of between strangers and aquaintances, we've conquered calm in one, and are now testing the waters of the other: everyone here is able to accept and accually appriciate everyone else's religious and spiritual views, with more than a little help from Linda's works. i would believe that most of the people here take that tolerance into their daily lives and help spread it into the world.

ahhhh politics on the other hand is a new place for us to explore. i'm not sure if there is a center of calm and understanding within political thought exchange... perhaps because we can't feel it out with our hearts. all these mundane topics can only be understood intellectually, and with all of the sensitive and passionate people on this board, no wonder this is where we stray.

I took a few days off to calm my emotions (don't take me wrong, it's not that you in particular have upset me, however, your post was the trigger, but it's just that I hate politics and everything that reminds me of politics and wars and so on, I hope you understand ), and now I can say that I understand you, I see your point. Yes, there has to be an exchange of different views, I was just upset because I read some of the posts in this forum and they were so negative, but most of all intolerant, and intolerance is something that I really hate (maybe because I have unresolved issues with my own ). I don't mind someone expressing their views as long as they don't attack and belittle the views of others. I'm speaking in general now.
And the reason I was so upset is because I thought of Lindaland as some kind of oasis that is not connected to the outer world, if you know what I mean, but I thought of your words long and hard and I see that I let the escapist side of my nature prevail.
Besides, I take these issues way too emotionally and that's why I think it's better for me not to participate at all until I get this sorted out, for I'm inclined to letting my emotions get the better of me and therefore become biased.
