No, I'm not going to Boro Boro this year,GEEZ, I'm trying to figure out how to get to Woodstock and I live only 45 minutes away from it! But Mr.Frog says(in so many ways)that we should be ashamed of ourselves and that we need to reconcile our actions! Look, we're not the greatest people in the world(who is?),but we try our damndest to provide to ourselves and to others in need,whether it be with a M16 or an olive branch. Ego?! Yes we got an EGO,but so does everybody else in the world,Freud calls it our ID and that also come with the package,no problem,but France has been up our a$$es about every little thing. They maybe brighter,cultured,multi-by-liguil and all,but "HEY MAN,GIVE US A BREAK!" you try to be a super-power and tell me how easy it is! Everybody thinks it's so great to run the world,the only problem is is that WE'RE NOT RUNNING IT! "Living day to day" is the motto of the USA and at most times,we don't even have time to breath! Then it's our rules and regulations that we have to follow and the discord of the ones that come to this country that don't know what's going on inside this country... "Everything looks great in Hollywood",but the truth is,you all see it in only one point of view,THEY'RES!

The way I see it, North America and Australia too, are really and truly a beautiful thing.
Everybody's ancestral roots are elsewhere in the world, and everybody lives in peace and tolerance of one another.
Christians live next door to Jews, who live next to Budists, etc. Black, Asian, Hispanic and white people are coworkers and freinds and sometimes fall in love and create families together.
Italians live next door to Irish and Koreans, and they borrow sugar from one another, and sample each other's cuisines, and babysit each others kids. We all understand that there's room for all of us, and we all have a right to be here, and to be free to pursue happiness. There's no 'ethnic cleansing' or wars of religion. That would be hypocritical!
We all just blend together in tolerance and respect. It's exactly what humankind is suppose to evolve to. It's truly a Utopian concept, and a beautiful thing! ....sniff....

Please don't ruin this by posting a bunch of exceptions to this concept. Certain INDIVIDUALS within our society do not grasp and/or respect this, but that's THEIR problem. They're out numbered by those of us who do.

Man! I just got out of the shower and while I was in their,I was thinking all about that! How can he say that the Middle East is against us and Africa and Asia and the Blacks and Hispanics are too,so France is not alone on they're feelings about us??! If the US pulled the same stunt to France like that of 9/11 and the rest of the West supported it, their would be no question of dought that they would strike at any country that was on the side of the US and it bothers me that he would say such a thing! What is he and his country trying to do,create another World War?! If that's how THEY feel, then screw'em,but I don't believe that,theirs too many people in the US alone that has actual FAMILY(not just ancesters)that are from somewhere else,including my own! That's just like saying that my cousen is going to murder his mother's,brother's,sister-in-law's,son,just because he's from another's country,which it would happen to be...ME!!
THAT'S INSANE! And then you got this thing where he gets-off by saying that if we're WHITE and American,that we are automatically RACIST! OMG! He's putting me on! Did those people in Africa(that he was talking about)told him that crap???!!!

what is extremely upsetting to me is the insults. i dont feel safe at this message board when insults are thrown about so effortlessly and people are belittled because of what they happened to say. it depresses me and makes me feel very bad. it makes me feel 'am i next, and what exactly are the criteria for me being treated in that way?'.

i just plain and simply do not want to see it. insults fulfil no purpose whatsoever except for you personally. if you want to put someone down i think i am not out of my place to say please find another outlet for it. forgive me mods, randall, and the posters who have been here longer than me but i just... had to say something.

it isnt just the person who is the reciever of the insults that gets affected, its everyone. it creates a very negative atmosphere, and thats what im feeling right now. i dont even want to be here. i guess im opening my big mouth and getting involved because i dont want to see it spread to other threads.

in calling him 'Mr. Frog' you are insulting him based on his location of residence. thus, you insult every person residing in france no matter what their individual beliefs are. that is not fair.

As in "Back-woods, no-names" I don't know: Frogs,Germs,Limies,what have you, all I can say is that I AM A BACK-WOODS,NO-NAME,and I sure hope to God that someone calls me a YANKEE in they're arguements,lady! If you don't know the conversation,then please,stay out of it! "Don't start something that you can't finish!" If you don't see that I have been NICE,then maybe you need to go back to those threads-or just don't read anything I write at all! If you feel the NEED to question,then expect an answer,plain and simple!

im really not attacking you. i made a simple request, you wanted to know what i meant, i gave examples, and clarified things. i am completely non emotional about it. if i was speaking in person the things i wrote in my post, it would be in a very matter of fact tone. all i know is that theres something bothering me, in a place i felt safe, and so my response is to deal with it honestly and openly. i also know that it is against the philosophy of this message board. that is why i spoke.

i give you much respect. i just happen to disagree with you. that shouldnt threaten anyone. people can disagree without getting all hot about it.

i dont really understand what you mean by 'if you dont understand the conversation, stay out of it'. i was under the impression that this forum was not private. i didnt come here to argue with you, but the tone of this thread carries over into the other ones. its just that simple. as for starting something and not finishing, i have full confidence in my ability for debate. i do not want to here. i do not want to argue with you. all i want is for the derogatory remarks to stop. its as simple as that. i dont mind an answer either. i already have one in this case though. it shouldnt be such an issue. we all have to abide by the rules of this place, and i happen to agree with them. all i did was ask you to do the same.

i can see its started already. when you refer to me as 'lady' i highly doubt you mean a female with a title of a peer of the realm. or an anachronism of medieval times.

take a break, a breath... know that there are people that care. we do owe something in return for the acceptance and kindness of others though, and that is respect.

i do not have any say in who is banned and who is not. it isnt my forum. i am not a mod. i am a participant in the community, and that is why i care about it enough to bother. if i am 'stuck' with teva, i dont really care. if he said things i felt were wrong i would and *did* stand up to him too. ultimately though, i have no control over who is 'banned' and who is not. nor do i wish to. i just want to enjoy my time here, and help others, and find friendship.

Ozone...I think Ana's trying to say, try not to come across so angry and like you're "going off" foaming at the mouth with rage. I know you feel passionately about...well everything, and apparently Ana's had her fair share of experience with Scorpios too (some not so good), so I'm sure she gets that about you too. But the rage that came out of some of us (myself included) in that unmentionable thread just fed the fire, and soon enough we were on the verge of our own world war in there. NOT the purpose of this forum. We have to rise above that rage, cuz there's too many sensitive souls around here, and cuz it does nothing to bridge the gaps that already exist between us, which is what this forum is intended for, see?

This is a mostly female population here, I'd say about a 75/25 ratio. We all know that woman are from Venus and men are from Mars. You're not the first male to be recieved as offensive in the way you express yourself, Ozone. It's really an excersize in diplomacy for the males around here. The more masculine a guy is, the harder it is for him to "tone it down". Men express themselves alot more forcefully and bluntly than woman do. Sometimes, when we read a typcially male post, we take it as hostile, and sometimes when men read a typically female post, they want to gag at the fluffiness.
This is probably amplified by the fact that you're a Scorp, who are naturally forcefull in their communications. We all just have to try to express ourselves diplomatically, that's all.

A female (or Venus) will say...

I may be way off base here, and forgive me if I've misunderstood. Please don't take this the wrong way. I still really like you as a person, and I think you're really great. I just want to point out that you may have overlooked the fact that you're standing directly on my toe, and I don't prefer that. Sorry, I know it's not your fault.

A male (or Mars)will say...

Get the he*l off my foot, you friggin a55hole!!!
