Yes, it does seem that I was wrong. You do know and you do understand. I am sorry I misjudged that about you. Maybe it is my Jupiter ruled nature, but I do think that there are more cops out there that care than bad ones that don't. If not, we wouldn't have any order. In this state, there is a country where the cops morale has been beat so far down by the states attorney and new County Exec (who is a cop hater), that they refuse to do routine stops or arrests. They are tired of the brutality suits when a perp gets a scratch and then walks away with over a Million in damages. Out here we see jury nullifcation because they hate cops and they see everything as a form of racism. Maybe that is just another reason why I want to move back out West. I thank you for that Pidaua and I'm sorry that you were under the impression of me otherwise.In NYC they are really honoring they're police and firemen(women),but the surrounding areas(like upstate,New Jersey and PA)they're still a little greedy! I do know however(when I really do think about it)that the cops over there in Maryland,got themselves a handfull and I guess the laws are not helping the people that much.I'm not the one that in favor of the corruption with the police in certain areas,but I DO believe that the world always need some sort of law and order! I guess it's true that the general consensus shows a lot of admiration for NY firefighters. I would tend to disagree that the same is true for NY cops. This is not a personal feeling, just an observation. I've noticed more and more people lately proclaiming devout differences between cops and firefighters (the nature of their jobs and duties and how that relates to the people themselves). Again, these are only my observations-others may see different views (obviously, there are millions of people in NY). Skepticism of NY police is not an uncommon thing here though.IP: Logged |

Yeah Oxy,but no matter where you go,there will always be competition on every aspect.Just like when I WAS in the military,the Army had bouts with the other branches and when we would train,we would always compete with the Tankers. So basically,that goes with any job detail.When the job needs to get done,it doesn't matter who's better,who's best! IP: Logged |

As a non-NYer, I think it`s safe to say the rest of the U.S. only sees the problems in the N.Y.P.D.. It is seldom shared with the rest of us the wonderful positive things the police do daily. Bad press is the moneymaker and that only entitles us to hear the negative  juniperb  ------------------
