Sometimes I really wonder if Bush is right indeed, regarding his Global war on terrorism(Or is it disguise). Just as lets say we need to eliminate poverty in ones own country, so that they do not corrupt the society (drugs, prostitution, etc...). Similarly the rich countries must ensure that poor countries are literate, more jobs created. They must be taught that religion means foremost to love God and that implies loving your neighbors and being reminded of your service to them. Isn't the word Symbiosis applicable here.

I am glad to know of EU's donation to poor nations. Even america has donated a lot to nations. But most was out of political interests than anything. Such as aid to Pakistan.

I was surprised to learn that there are still poor people in America. Their faces are desperate when they knock on the door of church. An ideal world is so far away. But I think the world is progressing towards that.

Well lets all wait for the Golden/New age thats coming.

I have saved the following from a web site. Don't remember who wrote it.

I know there are alot of books out on this subject. I've been finding this one really interesting. Being written so long ago (1970)
and to be so accurate in the world events that are happening right now.

quote:

In Revelation 13:11-18 we are introduced to this infamous character. This person, who is called the second beast, is going to be a Jew. Many believe he will be
from the tribe of Dan, which is one of the tribes of the original progenitors of the nation of Israel.

The False PRophet (he is called that in Revelation 19:20 and 20:10) will be a master of satanic magic. This future False Prophet is going to be a devilish
John the Baptist.
He will aid and glorify this Roman Dictator,(who is the anti-christ);he will proclaim him the savior of the world and make people worship him as God.

We believe that the dramatic elements which are occuring in the world today are setting the stage for this magnetic, diabolical Future Fueherer to
make his entrance. However, we must not indulge in speculation about whether any of the current world fiqures is the Antichrist. He will not be known until
his sudden miraculous recovery from a fatal wound.

The Second coming

When Jesus came the first time it was not to judge the world but to save it. He came as the Lamb of God who gave His life to take away the sin of the world.
The one thing that God has established for man to do is to believe in His Son as Savior. When Jesus returns the second time it will be as a lion to judge
those who rejected the free gift of salvation from sin. Man will have completely demonstrated his worthiness of judgment.

According to Zechariah, "all nations will be gathered against Jerusalem to battle."" The Jews who live in the area will be on the verge of
anniahilation when God gives them supernatural strength to fight. Then the Lord will go forth to fight for them and save them.

Jesus' feet will first touch the earth where they left the earth on the Mount of Olives. The mountain will split in two with a great
earthquake the instant that Jesus'foot touches it. The giant crevice which results will run east and west trough the center of the mountain.
It will go east to the north tip of the Dead Sea and west to the Mediterranean Sea(Zechariah 14). Seismic studies of this area ,in quest of oil,
discovered a gigantic fault running east and west precisely through the center of the Mount of Olives. The fault is so severe that it could split
at any time. It is awaiting "the foot".

Zechariah predicts a strange thing with regard to the ensuing split in the earth. The believing Jewish remnant in Jerusalem will rush into the crack
instead of doing the natural thing of running from it. They will know this prophecy and realize that this great cavern has opened up for the Lord
to protect them from the terrible devastation that He is about to pour out upon the godless armies all around. It will be used as a type of bomb shelter.

The nature of the forces which the Lord will unleash on that day against the armies gathered in the Middle East is described in Zechariah 14:12.
"And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall consume away
while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consueme away in their mouth". (KJV)

A frightening picture isn't it? Has it occurred to you that this is exactly what happens to those who are in a thermonuclear blast?
It appears that this will be the case at the return of Christ.

China's Foot on America's Throat

The Chinese ambassador to the United States was in our hometown of Dallas this week giving a speech, so we decided to pay him a visit. Ambassador Yang Jiechi, who speaks impeccable English, gave an interesting speech concerning the current and future state of U.S.-Sino relations. The topics that he brought up included the war on terror, reunification with Taiwan, a nuclear-free Korean peninsula, and (of course) economic growth in his native land. The Ambassador did not say anything about his country's monetary or foreign exchange policy in his prepared remarks.

As the speech concluded, the crowd jumped to its feet and offered a rousing applause. Not being able to help ourselves, our hands shot up the minute the ambassador offered to take a few questions. After a few questions dealing with cultural issues, we finally got to ask him the question that has been on our minds for the past several years.

TexasHedge: Mr. Ambassador, we would like to ask you a question regarding your currency reserves. The huge pile of U.S. Dollars your country has accumulated as a result of its trade surplus with America has been reinvested time and time again in U.S. Treasuries and GSE debt. We know that there is a tremendous amount of international pressure on your country to revalue the Yuan; but we understand why you hesitate to do so because this could cause your domestic economy to slow and unemployment to rise. We also know that your country, which is facing a shortage of several critical natural resources, has recently established a strategic petroleum reserve. So our question is why you don't diversify your foreign reserves out of dollar-denominated treasuries and into other stores of value such as Euros, Francs, gold, silver, oil, aluminum and steel?

Yang Jiechi: (Paraphrasing) Our goal with our exchange rate and economy is to move to more market-oriented policies over time. But you must understand that many companies in China are owned by American and other foreign entities. Furthermore, the Dollars that China accumulates are re-invested back into U.S. Treasuries, which is good for America. You also should know that while China enjoys a surplus with the United States, we have large trade deficits with many of our Asian neighbors. But to answer your question regarding diversification out of dollars, we are moving in that direction.

Obviously, the Ambassador wasn't prepared for our question so he went straight into his standard defensive posture about his country's exchange rate policy. This is quite understandable as he is probably used to being grilled by American politicians who are upset about the exporting of American jobs. But the fact that he openly recognized the need to move out of U.S. Dollars tells us that a massive Dollar decline is not a matter of "if," but "when."

The largest beneficiary of this will be the precious metals - gold and silver - make no mistake about it. The recent launch of the first U.S. gold ETF (ticker: GLD) has already shown incredible demand and we surmise it will only grow from here.

India, China And Others
Dumping US Dollar
To Buy Euro
By Bala Vaddi Special

The India, China and other countries have started dumping the US Dollar quietly and buying the Euro. That has put a very serious pressure on the US Dollar. Chinese and Indian central bank officials denied such reports. But Foreign exchange traders say they are quite convinced of Indian and Chinese moves. According to some traders, there are many other countries, especially oil rich Middle Eastern countries, running away from dollar.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Y.V. Reddy said the composition of the country's foreign exchange reserves could change when asked on Wednesday if the bank was considering boosting its holdings of the strengthening euro. The central bank does not give a breakdown of its reserves -- the world's fifth largest -- but analysts said it may already have reduced the proportion of dollar holdings and would likely continue to do so. India's reserves, which comprise dollars, euros, sterling and yen in undisclosed proportions, have risen by nearly $23 billion so far in 2004 to a record $123.5 billion.

"The question of composition of reserves ... it's a very dynamic situation. You can't take a view on a daily basis," Governor Y.V. Reddy told reporters on the sidelines of a news conference.

The dollar has long been held as a reserve currency, but the single European currency hit a record high against it on Tuesday, and again on Wednesday, after the Russian central bank said it could review the share of euros it holds among its $113 billion in reserves. Asian central banks have been among the largest buyers of dollars as the economic tide turned in their countries' favour leading to massive investment and trade inflows. These banks were partly looking to build up their ammunition following a crisis in 1997 and to protect their trade competitiveness.

But the U.S. unit has declined sharply because of doubts about the fundamentals of the U.S. economy, which is running wide fiscal and trade deficits. It has fallen nearly 4.5 percent against the euro so far in 2004.

I couldn't agree more with the premise of the articles you posted Gia.

I don't agree with subsidizing the economy of a potential enemy either...China and that's exactly what we are doing and have been for quite some time.

The standard measure of job loss as it relates to balance of trade, in this case, a trade deficit is that every billion in trade deficit equals 20,000 lost jobs. Our trade deficit overall is close to 500 billion dollars and that's 10 million jobs exported overseas, mostly manufacturing jobs and also represents a flight of capital out of America to subsidize the economies of other nations.

It may be even worse than that because many items that bear a "made in the USA" sticker or label, were not made here...but shipped here for the label or some final finishing touch and then exported.

The only positive thing about a weakened dollar is that American goods are cheaper for consumers of other nations to purchase...if their currency is stronger than the dollar....and that means more American exports. But the reverse is also true and what we import is more costly if it comes from nations with strong currencies relative to our dollar.

I'm in a foreign country atm and I must say, having the USD weak sucks ass. My money doesn't go as far here as I'm accustomed, and I'm planning to bring a substantial sum of money here next year to buy property, so w/ the current exchange rates that translates into several thousand dollars less than it would be w/ a stronger dollar. Not to mention, giving so much power over to a nation that IMO is decidedly NOT our friend (China) is dangerous.

Hehe..Jesus ain't coming back.

Most of "we the people" are too blind to see the one united christ consciousness (or buddhahood) in awakened ones when they walk on earth.

Christ and anti christ is both within us. Its just symbology used to describe man can either rise above Gods or fall below towards the animal kingdom. Our conscious choices leads us towards the former while the unconscious choices makes us fall more and more.
